The January CSSHL Female Alumna Player of the Month is Aliya Jomha.

Jomha recently won a silver medal with Team Canada at the 2025 FISU World University Games. In five games the Edmonton, AB forward finished with three goals and one assist. Jomha was joined on Team Canada by former CSSHL teammate Alex Spence, who had one goal and one assist in the tournament.

Jomha originally joined the CSSHL in 2016/17 with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX). In three seasons with NAX she would record 46 points in 59 games, including 24 points in 21 games during the 2017/18 season.

In 2019/20 she would join Edge School, finishing third in team scoring with 45 points, while her 30 assists were a team high. Edge would go on to capture their first ever CSSHL Female U18 Prep Western Championship that spring. Jomha returned to Edge for the following COVID-19 shortened season, producing eight points in three games.

In 2021/22 she would graduate to Mount Royal University, posting 61 points in 75 games during her first three U SPORTS seasons. This season Jomha leads her Mount Royal team with 12 goals and 23 points in 19 games. Her 12 goals rank fifth among all U SPORTS skaters, while her 23 points has her in a tie for seventh.

With four points this past weekend, Jomha became the all-time points leader for Mount Royal University.

Former 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) student-athlete Tynan Ewart has committed to St. Cloud State University for the 2023/24 season.

Ewart spent three seasons in the CSSHL with Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (PMHA). The Duncan, BC defenseman joined the program for the 2017/18 U17 Prep season, finishing with 5 goals and 15 assists in 32 games. The following U17 Prep season Ewart would tally 7 goals and 15 assists in 24 games.

In 2019/20, his last season in the CSSHL, Ewart would record 7 goals and 15 assists in 24 games while earning CSSHL U17 Prep division MVP and Top Defenseman Award Honours. He would add five points in five playoff games as PMHA captured the 2020 CSSHL U17 Prep Western Championship.

In 2020/21 he would make the jump to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) with the Battlefords North Stars, playing in just two games because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The following season he would score 6 goals and assists on 26 more in 57 games.

This season Ewart would lead all Battlefords defensemen with 8 goals, 48 assists and 56 points in just 55 games. His 56 points were most amongst all SJHL defensemen, earning him SJHL Best Defenseman honours. Ewart would add 14 points in 13 playoff games to help his team capture the 2023 SJHL Championship.

Located in St. Cloud, Minnesota, St. Cloud State University is an NCAA Division I program competing in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).

Former St. George’s School student-athlete Cameron Johnson has committed to Harvard University for the 2023/24 season.

The Vancouver, BC forward spent three seasons in the 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) with St. George’s. He joined the program in 2017/18 for the U15 season. In 30 games he would record 24 goals and 34 assists. He would add six points in three playoff games as St. George’s were named 2018 CSSHL U15 Western Champions.

During the 2018/19 campaign Johnson would finish third in team and eighth in league scoring as he finished with 55 points in 30 games. Following his successful offensive campaign聽 the Kamloops Blazers selected him in the fourth round, 86th overall at the 2019 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft.

Johnson would return to the CSSHL for one last season in 2019/20. In 33 U16 games he would lead all skaters with 49 assists and 78 points. Johnson would record seven points in two playoff games before the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic ended the remainder of the 2020 CSSHL Western Championships.

Located in Cambridge, MA, Harvard University is a private Ivy League NCAA Division I program competing in the ECAC Conference.
