Former Delta Hockey Academy and current Vancouver Giants defenseman Ryan Lin has been named the March CSSHL WHL Alumni Player of the Month.

The Richmond, BC product recorded at least a single point in all seven regular season games he played in in March, finishing with nine assists. On March 28 he would record his first career WHL playoff assist in game one of his teams opening round series.

During the regular season Lin would finish fifth among all WHL rookies, and second among rookie defensemen, with 53 points in 60 games. His 48 assists led all WHL rookies.

Prior to his time in the WHL Lin spent three seasons in the CSSHL with Delta. He joined Delta Green for the 2021/22 U15 Prep season, producing 31 points in 29 games. He would add five assists in five playoff games as Delta Green captured the 2022 CSSHL U15 Prep Western Championship.

The following U15 Prep season he would lead his team with 17 goals and 41 points in 27 games, leading to the Giants selecting him sixth overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.

In 2023/24 he tallied 32 points in 28 U18 Prep games, earning him CSSHL U18 Prep (BC Division) First All-Star Team honours. That season he would get his first taste of international experience with Team Canada at the Youth Olympic Games, leading all defensemen with four assists and five points.

Along with his successful season with the Giants, Lin captured a Gold Medal with Team Canada White at the U17 World Hockey Challenge.

Former CSSHL and current Prince Albert Raiders defenseman Daxon Rudolph has been named the January CSSHL WHL Alumni Player of the Month.

Selected first overall at the 2023 WHL Draft, Rudolph played 13 games for the Raiders in January. To kick-start 2025 he would go on a 12 game point streak, tallying 2 goals and 13 assists. In his rookie WHL season, the Lacombe, AB product has 4 goals and 22 assists along with a +10 rating in 42 games.

Rudolph joined the CSSHL for the 2022/23 U15 Prep season, leading all defensemen with 50 points in 30 games. He would add 12 more points in 5 playoff games, including the OT winner in the finals as NAX captured their first ever CSSHL U15 Prep Western Championship. At the conclusion of the season Rudolph was named the CSSHL U15 Prep Top Defenseman.

The following U18 Prep season he would record 22 goals and 37 assists in 28 games with NAX, earning CSSHL U18 Prep Top Freshman and Co-MVP Honours, while being named a CSSHL U18 Prep (Prairie Division) First Team All-Star.

This season he would also play five games for Team Canada White at the U17 World Hockey Challenge, helping Canada White capture a Gold Medal.

Former CSSHL and current Victoria Royals defenseman Keaton Verhoeff has been named the December CSSHL WHL Alumni Player of the Month.

The Fort Saskatchewan, AB product played eight games in December with the Royals, recording 3 goals and 4 assists. On the season he leads all rookie defensemen with 12 goals, while his 26 points rank second among rookie defensemen and fourth among all rookie skaters.

Verhoeff joined the 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) for the 2022/23 U15 Prep season with RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna. In 27 games he would record 13 goals and 33 assists leading to the Royals selecting him fourth overall at the 2023 WHL Draft. The following U18 Prep season with RHA Kelowna he would record 7 goals and 20 assists in 22 games.

This season he would also play five games for Team Canada White at the U17 World Hockey Challenge, scoring once and adding four assists while being named to the tournament All-Star Team as he helped Canada White capture a Gold Medal.

Former Yale Hockey Academy netminder Aiden Eskit has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Swift Current Broncos.

Eskit was originally selected in the first round, fourth overall at the 2023 WHL US Prospect Draft. The Calgary, AB netminder joined Yale for the 2020/21 CSSHL U15 season.

The following U15 Prep campaign he would go 13-1-1 with a 2.03 GAA, .931 SV% and 2 shutouts. During the 2022/23 U15 Prep season Eskit would go 11-5-1 with 1 shutout, a 2.43 GAA and .914 SV%.

12 former 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) student-athletes have been selected to represent Team Canada at the 2024 U17 World Challenge.

The tournament, which is set to take place November 3-9 at Progressive Auto Sales Arena in Sarnia, ON, will see 44 players represent Team Canada White and Team Canada Red.

Among the 44 players selected are 15 from the WHL, 12 of which played in the CSSHL including 2023 and 2024 WHL Draft first overall picks Daxon Rudolph and Landon DuPont. After joining fellow CSSHL alumnus Connor Bedard as the only two players in WHL History to receive Exceptional Status, DuPont is the lone 2009 born player on the Team Canada rosters.

The 12 CSSHL alumni represent six different CSSHL member programs: Okanagan Hockey Academy (3), RHA Kelowna (3), Edge School (2), Northern Alberta Xtreme (2), Delta Hockey Academy, and Pilot Mound Hockey Academy.

This will be the second time Lin, Preston, L. Ruck, M. Ruck, Rudolph, and Verhoeff represent Team Canada, having previously done so at the 2024 Youth Olympics.

The 2024 U17 World Challenge kicks off on November 3, with Canada White taking on Czechia at 3:30 p.m. ET and Canada Red facing off against Finland at 7:30 p.m. ET. Teams will play two preliminary-round games before the medal round, which concludes on Nov. 9 with the medal games, as well as the fifth-place game. The event will also feature pre-tournament games in Sarnia, Petrolia and Forest on November 1.

The 2023 U17 World Challenge saw 13 CSSHL alumni compete for Team Canada Red and White.聽

The Calgary Hitmen have signed former 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) student-athlete Noah Kosick to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Born in Kassel, Germany and raised in Victoria, BC, Kosick joined the CSSHL for the 2021/22 U15 Prep season. In 29 games with Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (PCHA) he would score 22 goals while leading the entire division with 74 assists and 96 points.

Kosick would move to the U18 Prep division as an underage player in 2022/23, posting a team high 35 assists and 45 points in 32 games. At the conclusion of the season the Hitmen would select him in the first round, 11th overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.

This past U18 Prep season with PCHA Kosick led all skaters with 50 assists while producing a team high 62 points in 29 games. Kosick would earn CSSHL U18 Prep (BC Division) First Team All-Star Honours for his 2023/24 efforts.

Yale Hockey Academy student-athlete Jayden Oleskiw has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Swift Current Broncos.

Oleskiw joined Yale for the 2021/22 U15 AAA season. In 26 games the Langley, BC forward finished fourth in team scoring with 40 points. During the 2022/23 U15 Prep season he would score 10 goals and add 10 assists. This past season in 32 U17 Prep games Oleskiw finished with a team high 33 assists and 48 points in 32 games.

The Broncos selected Oleskiw in the 11th round, 228th overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.

The Red Deer Rebels have signed a pair of CSSHL student-athletes to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements.

A forward from Calgary, AB, Luke Jamieson joined Edge School for the 2022/23 U15 AAA season. In 27 games he would record 16 goals and 19 assists. This past season he would finish with 26 points in 27 U15 Prep games leading to the Rebels selecting him in the sixth round, 126th overall at the 2024 WHL Draft.

Nolan Schmidt joined OHA Edmonton for the 2021/22 U15 AAA season where he had 22 points in 28 games. The Edmonton, AB forward would record 11 points in 15 U15 Prep games the following year as the Rebels selected him in the 10th round, 216th overall at the 2023 WHL Draft. This past season Schmidt had 14 goals and 13 assists in 30 U18 Prep games.

Four CSSHL student-athletes have signed WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements with their respective teams.

Rowan Guest has spent the last two seasons with the Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (PCHA) U18 Prep team. In 60 career games the Saskatoon, SK defenseman recorded 17 goals and 38 assists. Guest has signed with the Kelowna Rockets after they selected him in the 11th round at the 2021 WHL Draft.

Undrafted to the WHL, Connor Pankratz will join Guest, having signed with the Rockets. The West Vancouver, BC forward started his CSSHL career in 2019/20 with the North Shore Warriors U15 team, capturing a CSSHL U15 Western Championship. He would move to St. George’s the following season, spending one season each with the U15 Prep and U17 Prep teams before playing for their U18 Prep team the last two years. He finished the 2023/24 season with 48 points in 29 games as captain of the U18 Prep team.

A forward from Kelowna, BC, Cameron Norrie has played the last four seasons in the CSSHL. He joined Okanagan Hockey Academy in 2020/21 playing one season each with their U15, U15 Prep and U16 Prep teams. During the 2023/24 season he joined the RHA Kelowna U18 Prep team, tallying 34 points in 30 games. Undrafted to the WHL, Norrie has signed with the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

A fourth round pick by the Spokane Chiefs at the 2023 WHL Draft, Rhett Sather spent the 2023/24 season with the Calgary International Hockey Academy (CIHA) U17 Prep team. In 29 games the Cochrane, AB defender tallied 10 goals and 20 assists. He added two assists in five playoff games as CIHA captured the 2024 CSSHL U17 Prep Western Championship title.

The CSSHL has announced the nine division MVP’s of their respective Western and Eastern Championships.

U15: Bronsyn Mouille- Northern Alberta Xtreme

NAX cruised to their second straight U15 Western Championship and was led offensively by Mouille and his 21 points, 6 more than the next highest. The Peace River, AB forward had 62 points in 26 regular season games.

U15 Prep Jaggar John – Northern Alberta Xtreme

John finished the Western Championships with a record 19 points in 5 games, surpassing Kyle Crnkovic’s record of 18. John would lead NAX to their second straight U15 Prep Western Championship with four assists and the overtime winner in a 6-5 win over Edge School. The Fort McMurray, AB forward recored 38 points in 27 regular season games.

U17 Prep Tier I: Brendan Rudolph – Calgary International Hockey Academy

Rudolph finished fourth in Championships scoring but his hat-trick and one assist in the finals propelled CIHA to a 5-4 OT win over Prairie Hockey Academy as CIHA captured their first ever CSSHL Western Championship. The Seattle Thunderbirds 2023 WHL Draft pick finished the regular season with a team high 59 points in 31 games.

U17 Prep Tier II: Lucas Benn – St. George’s School

A seventh round selection by the Kamloops Blazers at the 2023 WHL Draft, Benn tallied 3 goals and 8 assists in 5 playoff games, including 2 assists in a 3-2 overtime win over SAHA in the finals. He would finish the regular season with 32 points in 29 games.

U17 Prep Tier III: Mark Lee – BWC Academy White

Lee posted 13 points in 5 playoff games including a goal and three assists in the Championship Finals to lead BWC Academy White to a 6-3 win over Shawnigan Lake. The Busan, South Korea forward finished the regular season with 24 goals and 16 assists in 26 games.

U18 Prep: Landon DuPont – Edge School

With 16 points in 5 games the Calgary, AB underage defenseman tied the U18 Prep Western Championships record set by Arizona Coyotes forward Dylan Guenther. He recorded a division best 11 assists, including 1 in the Championship Final as Edge defeated NAX 3-2 in overtime to secure back-to-back championships. DuPont tallied 62 points in 30 regular season games, a new record for defensemen in the U18 Prep division.

Female U18 Prep: Chloe Primerano – RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna

The University of Minnesota commit set Female U18 Prep Western Championship records with 15 assists and 20 points in 5 games as RHA Kelowna earned their third straight championship. During the regular season the Vancouver, BC defenseman led all skaters with 35 goals, 54 assists and 89 points, all Female U18 Prep single season records.

Eastern U17: Dominic Schnarr – Bishop’s College School

Schnarr recorded nine points in five Eastern Championship games including a hat-trick and an assist in the Finals to lift Bishop’s College to their first ever CSSHL Championship. The Woodstock, NB forward tallied nine points in eight regular season games.

Eastern U18: Oliver Kiraly – Ontario Hockey Academy Prep

Kiraly posted a 3-0-0 record with a 2.75 GAA and .898 SV% to lead OHA Prep to a 6-2 win in the Eastern Championship Finals. He would make 41 saves in the finals while scoring the second goalie goal in CSSHL history, and the first in the Eastern Division. The Budapest, Hungary netminder finished the regular season with a 10-1-1 record, 2.47 GAA and .920SV%.
