A sixth round, 118th overall 2017 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft Pick by the Victoria Royals, Lamb would record 4 goals and 24 assists in 30 games. He would add two points in five playoff games as NAX captured the 2018 CSSHL U16 Prep Western Championship.

After playing in two Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) games with the Camrose Kodiaks and seven WHL games with the Royals in 2018/19, Lamb would join the Royals full time in 2019/20, assisting on 2 goals in 46 games. He would play six games with the team in 2020/21, again assisting on two goals.

He would start the 2021/22 season in the WHL with the Swift Current Broncos before finishing the year in the AJHL with the Drayton Valley Thunder. In 26 AJHL games the Edmonton, AB defenseman would tally 13 points.

This season in 44 AJHL games with the Thunder Lamb would score 1 goal and assist on 23 more.

In 72 AJHL games he would score 29 goals and add 23 assists.

Whillans would return to Spruce Grove for the start of the 2021/22 season, playing 11 games for them before heading east to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) where he would tally 4 goals and 6 assists in 23 games with the Nipawin Hawks.
