Turnbull has spent the last three seasons in the 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) with the St. Mary鈥檚 Academy Female U18 Prep team. The Winnipeg, MB product first joined the program in 2019/20, recording 10 points in 24 games. She would play just three games in 2020/21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, before finishing second in team scoring with 28 points in 25 games during the 2021/22 CSSHL season.

McLaughlin, who is originally from Penticton, BC, spent four seasons with his hometown Okanagan Hockey Academy from 2014 to 2018. In 121 games he recorded 82 points, including 37 in 36 games with the OHA Red U18 Prep in the 2017/18 season.

He would then spend three seasons split between the AJHL, BCHL, KIJHL and MJAHL, finishing his junior career this year with the KIJHL鈥檚 Nelson Leafs. In three games he would score three goals to go along with two assists.
