Former Yale Hockey Academy student-athlete Shea Busch made his WHL debut with the Everett Silvertips after signing a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Busch made his WHL debut with Everett on December 7 recording a goal and an assist. On the season he has three points in two games.

The North Vancouver, BC forward joined the CSSHL for the 2020/21 U15 season, recording three points in five game with Yale. The following U15 Prep season he would record 12 goals and 17 assists in 30 games leading to the Lethbridge Hurricanes selecting him in the sixth round, 121st overall at the 2022 WHL Draft.

He would play 29 U18 Prep games with Yale during the 2022/23 season, producing 20 points in 29 games.

Busch is committed to NCAA Division I program Penn State University.

Former CSSHL and current Everett Silvertips netminder Jesse Sanche has been named the October CSSHL WHL Alumni Player of the Month.

Sanche went 8-1-0 with 1 shutout while recording a 1.33 GAA and 0.940 SV% in nine games with Everett during October. On the season he is 10-2-0 with a WHL best 10 wins, 1.98 GAA and 0.924 SV%.

The Kamloops, BC goalie joined the CSSHL for the 2019/20 U15 Prep season going 12-4-0 with a 2.98 GAA, .889 SV% and 1 shutout with the Pursuit of Excellence (now RHA Kelowna). The following season with RHA Kelowna he would go 3-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .939 SV% in 3 U15 Prep games.

He would join Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA) for the 2021/22 U17 Prep season, posting a 6-7-0 record, .880 SV% and 4.67 GAA while being named the CSSHL U17 Prep Top Goaltender. At the conclusion of the season the Kamloops Blazers would select him in the second round, 42nd overall at the 2021 WHL Draft.

Sanche would return to OHA for the 2022/23 U18 Prep season where he went 8-3-1 with a 3.18 GAA and .898 SV%. Sanche would make his WHL debut with the Blazers during that season.

The 2023/24 season was his first full season in the WHL with the Blazers. Sanche would play 30 games posting a 4.66 GAA, .872 SV% and 6-17-1 record.

12 former 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) student-athletes have been selected to represent Team Canada at the 2024 U17 World Challenge.

The tournament, which is set to take place November 3-9 at Progressive Auto Sales Arena in Sarnia, ON, will see 44 players represent Team Canada White and Team Canada Red.

Among the 44 players selected are 15 from the WHL, 12 of which played in the CSSHL including 2023 and 2024 WHL Draft first overall picks Daxon Rudolph and Landon DuPont. After joining fellow CSSHL alumnus Connor Bedard as the only two players in WHL History to receive Exceptional Status, DuPont is the lone 2009 born player on the Team Canada rosters.

The 12 CSSHL alumni represent six different CSSHL member programs: Okanagan Hockey Academy (3), RHA Kelowna (3), Edge School (2), Northern Alberta Xtreme (2), Delta Hockey Academy, and Pilot Mound Hockey Academy.

Canada Red:

This will be the second time Lin, Preston, L. Ruck, M. Ruck, Rudolph, and Verhoeff represent Team Canada, having previously done so at the 2024 Youth Olympics.

The 2024 U17 World Challenge kicks off on November 3, with Canada White taking on Czechia at 3:30 p.m. ET and Canada Red facing off against Finland at 7:30 p.m. ET. Teams will play two preliminary-round games before the medal round, which concludes on Nov. 9 with the medal games, as well as the fifth-place game. The event will also feature pre-tournament games in Sarnia, Petrolia and Forest on November 1.

The 2023 U17 World Challenge saw 13 CSSHL alumni compete for Team Canada Red and White.聽

Former CSSHL student-athletes Parker Berge and Rhett Parsons have signed AHL Contracts for the 2024/25 season.

Selected in the eighth round, 157th overall at the 2018 WHL Draft by the Regina Pats, Berge joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme for the 2019/20 season. In 36 games the Edmonton, AB defenseman would record 7 goals and 21 assists. Berge would spend the following three-and-a-half seasons with the Pats, tallying 15 goals and 60 assists in 181 games. During the 2023/24 season he would be traded to the Everett Silvertips, finishing his WHL career with them by tallying 3 goals and 22 assists in 30 games.

Berge has signed with the Ontario Reign for the 2024/25 AHL season.

Parsons was selected in the fifth round, 99th overall by the Medicine Hat Tigers at the 2018 WHL Draft. The Cremona, AB defender joined Edge School for the 2018/19 U16 Prep season, recording 8 goals and 20 assists in 35 games. The following U18 Prep campaign he would have 6 goals and 21 assists in 32 games. Parsons would join the Tigers for the 2020/21 season, spending all four of his WHL seasons with the club. In 219 WHL games he would finish with 17 goals and 35 assists.

Parsons has signed with the Toronto Marlies ahead of the 2024/25 AHL season.

Former CSSHL student-athlete Ty Gibson has signed an ECHL Contract with the Adirondack Thunder.

Gibson spent the 2017/18 U15 Prep season with Pacific Coast Hockey Academy. In 30 games the Victoria, BC defenseman had 24 points leading to the Everett Silvertips selecting him in the third round, 64th overall at the 2018 WHL Draft.

In 2019/20 Gibson would play 28 U18 Prep games with BWC Academy, finishing with 18 points. He would also make his WHL debut with the Everett Silvertips, playing in two games that season.

Gibson would go on to play 187 games over 4 seasons with the Silvertips before finishing his WHL game with the Regina Pats, playing 28 games for them this season. Overall, he recorded 10 goals and 61 assists in 215 WHL games.

St. George’s School student-athlete Eddy Spytz has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Everett Silvertips.

Spytz joined St. George’s for the 2023/24 U15 Prep season. In 27 games the Oak Bay, BC forward had 18 goals and 24 assists, finishing third in team scoring with 42 points. The Silvertips selected Spytz in the third round, 51st overall at the 2024 WHL Draft.

After receiving Exceptional Player Status to play in the Western Hockey League (WHL) for the 2024/25 season, Landon DuPont has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Everett Silvertips.

DuPont was selected first overall at the 2024 WHL Draft in May after being granted Exceptional Player Status back in April 2024.

The Calgary, AB defenseman spent the 2023/24 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) with the Edge U18 Prep team as an underage player. In a 2006-08 based division, the 2009 born skater 62 points in 30 regular season games, a new record for defensemen in the U18 Prep division. His 62 points were third in league scoring and most on his team, 21 more points than any other Edge skater.

DuPont was named the 2024 CSSHL U18 Prep Western Championships MVP. With 16 points in 5 games he tied the U18 Prep Western Championships record set by Arizona Coyotes forward Dylan Guenther. He recorded a division best 11 assists, including 1 in the Championship Final as Edge defeated NAX 3-2 in overtime to secure back-to-back championships.

麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) student-athletes Mirco Dufour and Aiden Wagner have signed Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreements after being selected at the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.

A forward from Chestermere, AB, Dufour was selected in the first round, 19th overall by the Everett Silvertips. Dufour joined Edge School for the 2022/23 season, leading his team and finishing third in the league with 54 points in 27 games. This season his 42 points were second in team scoring while his 2.00 PTS/GP were a team high. Dufour would add seven points in five playoff games as Edge made it to the finals of the CSSHL U15 Prep Western Championships.

Selected in the second round, 25th overall by the Regina Pats. Wagner joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) U15 Prep team for the 2023/24 season. He would lead the NAX blue-line with 4 goals, 19 assists and 23 points in 22 games. The Yorkton, SK defenseman added three goals and three assists in five playoff games as NAX captured their second straight CSSHL U15 Prep Western Championship, beating Edge in overtime.

Dufour and Wagner are each the fifth skater from their respective CSSHL teams to sign WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements after being selected at the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.

Edge School forward Owen Cooper has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Everett Silvertips.

Cooper joined the CSSHL in 2021/22 with the Edge U15 team, posting 37 points in 26 games. He would add 15 points in 5 playoff games as Edge School captured the 2022 CSSHL U15 Western Championships.

Last season Cooper finished fourth among Edge U15 Prep skaters with 37 points in 22 games. Everett then selected the Calgary, AB forward in the sixth round, 114th overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.

In 20 U18 Prep games this season Cooper has tallied 7 goals and 16 assists in 20 games.
