Former Yale Hockey Academy student-athletes Tyson Moss and Joel Plante have signed WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements with their respective teams.

Moss has signed with the Medicinet Hat Tigers after he was originally selected in the 10th round, 217th overall at the 2022 WHL Draft by the Kamloops Blazers.

The Port Moody, BC defenseman joined Yale for the 2020/21 U15 season, tallying one point in four games. The following CSSHL season he would tally one assist in three U15 Prep games. During the 2022/23 U17 Prep season, Moss would record 5 goals and 18 assists in 34 games.

Plante joined Yale in 2018/19, tallying 12 points in 29 U15 games. The following season the Langley, BC forward recorded 16 points in 30 CSSHL U15 Prep games. He would spend the 2020/21 season with the Yale U17 Prep team, producing seven points in five games.

Undrafted to the WHL, Plante has signed with the Portland Winterhawks. He is committed to NCAA Division I program University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Moss and Plante both made their WHL debut within the last week.

Former CSSHL and current Everett Silvertips netminder Jesse Sanche has been named the October CSSHL WHL Alumni Player of the Month.

Sanche went 8-1-0 with 1 shutout while recording a 1.33 GAA and 0.940 SV% in nine games with Everett during October. On the season he is 10-2-0 with a WHL best 10 wins, 1.98 GAA and 0.924 SV%.

The Kamloops, BC goalie joined the CSSHL for the 2019/20 U15 Prep season going 12-4-0 with a 2.98 GAA, .889 SV% and 1 shutout with the Pursuit of Excellence (now RHA Kelowna). The following season with RHA Kelowna he would go 3-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .939 SV% in 3 U15 Prep games.

He would join Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA) for the 2021/22 U17 Prep season, posting a 6-7-0 record, .880 SV% and 4.67 GAA while being named the CSSHL U17 Prep Top Goaltender. At the conclusion of the season the Kamloops Blazers would select him in the second round, 42nd overall at the 2021 WHL Draft.

Sanche would return to OHA for the 2022/23 U18 Prep season where he went 8-3-1 with a 3.18 GAA and .898 SV%. Sanche would make his WHL debut with the Blazers during that season.

The 2023/24 season was his first full season in the WHL with the Blazers. Sanche would play 30 games posting a 4.66 GAA, .872 SV% and 6-17-1 record.

The Kamloops Blazers have signed Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA) student-athlete Eli Tverdovsky to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Tverdovsky was selected by the Blazers in the first round, sixth overall at the 2024 WHL US Prospects Draft. The Los Angeles, CA forward joined OHA for the 2023/24 U15 Prep season. In 27 games he finished second on his team with 20 goals and 36 points.

Former BWC Academy defenseman Mats Lindgren has signed an AHL Contract with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

The North Vancouver, BC defenseman joined the CSSHL for the 2018/19 U15 Prep season. In 27 games he would tally 26 points leading to the Kamloops Blazers selecting him ninth overall at the 2019 WHL Draft.

He would return to BWC Academy the following season, tallying 23 points in 31 U18 Prep games.

Lindgren would spend the next two seasons with the Kamloop Blazers, posting 54 points in 90 WHL games. At the end of the 2021/22 season the Buffalo Sabres would select Lindgren in the fourth round 106th overall at the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

After a move to the Red Deer Rebels, Lindgren has recorded 75 points in 126 games the last two WHL seasons.

Yale Hockey Academy student-athlete Jacob Dumansky has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Kamloops Blazers.

The Blazers selected the Langley, BC forward in the second round, 44th overall at the 2024 WHL Draft.

Dumansky joined the CSSHL in 2022/23 with the Yale U15 Prep team recording 14 points in 28 games. This season Dumansky posted 21 goals and 28 assists in 27 U15 Prep games.

Four CSSHL student-athletes have signed Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreements with their respective teams after being selected at the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.

A forward from Calgary, AB, Shaun Hildebrandt was selected in the second round, 43rd overall by the Calgary Hitmen. Hildebrandt joined Yale Hockey Academy for the 2022/23 season, finishing third on his team and fourth in the U15 division with 50 points in 27 games. This season his 58 points in 27 games were most among U15 Prep forwards, and second in league scoring, earning him CSSHL U15 Prep (BC Division) Second Team All-Star honours.

Jordin St. Louis joined Edge School this season with their U15 Prep team. In 27 games the Airdrie, AB forward tallied 14 goals and 27 assists leading to the Portland Winterhawks selecting him in the first round, 20th overall.

Selected in the third round, 46th overall by the Kamloops Blazers, Madden Tymchak played the 2023/24 season with the RHA Winnipeg U15 Prep team. In 25 games the Oakbank, MB defenseman recorded 1 goal and 29 assists.

A defenseman from Edmonton, AB, Kayne Wright spent the last two seasons with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX). During the 2022/23 season he would tally 23 points in 27 games before adding 8 assists in 5 playoff games to lead NAX to a 2023 CSSHL U15 Western Championship. This season he would record 19 points in 26 U15 Prep games and 8 more in his 5 playoff games as he captured his second straight CSSHL Western Championship with NAX, this time at the U15 Prep level. The Medicine Hat Tigers selected Wright in the eighth round, 171st overall.

Three 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) student-athletes have signed Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreements after being selected at the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.

Joaquin Geras played the past two seasons with the Edge School U15 Prep team. The Calgary, AB defender produced 16 points in 30 games in 2022/23, and 28 points in 27 games in 2023/24. He would addd five points in five playoff games as Edge made the finals of the 2024 CSSHL Western Championships. Geras was selected in the second round, 26th overall by the Kamloops Blazers.

Selected in the third round, 47th overall by the Tri-City Americans, Lukasz McIsaac spent the 2022/23 season with the St. George’s U15 team, tallying 20 points in 21 games. This season the Vancouver, BC defenseman recorded 17 points in 26 U15 Prep games.

A forward from Coldstream, BC, Ollie Reid joined RHA Kelowna for the 2021/22 U15 season, tallying 6 points in 27 games. He would suit up for Yale Hockey Academy’s U15 Prep team the following two seasons, including finish fourth in league scoring this season with 52 points in 27 games. The Cougars selected Reid in the fourth round, 88th overall.

The CSSHL has announced the nine division MVP’s of their respective Western and Eastern Championships.

U15: Bronsyn Mouille- Northern Alberta Xtreme

NAX cruised to their second straight U15 Western Championship and was led offensively by Mouille and his 21 points, 6 more than the next highest. The Peace River, AB forward had 62 points in 26 regular season games.

U15 Jaggar John – Northern Alberta Xtreme

John finished the Western Championships with a record 19 points in 5 games, surpassing Kyle Crnkovic’s record of 18. John would lead NAX to their second straight U15 Prep Western Championship with four assists and the overtime winner in a 6-5 win over Edge School. The Fort McMurray, AB forward recored 38 points in 27 regular season games.

U17 Prep Tier I: Brendan Rudolph – Calgary International Hockey Academy

Rudolph finished fourth in Championships scoring but his hat-trick and one assist in the finals propelled CIHA to a 5-4 OT win over Prairie Hockey Academy as CIHA captured their first ever CSSHL Western Championship. The Seattle Thunderbirds 2023 WHL Draft pick finished the regular season with a team high 59 points in 31 games.

U17 Prep Tier II: Lucas Benn – St. George’s School

A seventh round selection by the Kamloops Blazers at the 2023 WHL Draft, Benn tallied 3 goals and 8 assists in 5 playoff games, including 2 assists in a 3-2 overtime win over SAHA in the finals. He would finish the regular season with 32 points in 29 games.

U17 Prep Tier III: Mark Lee – BWC Academy White

Lee posted 13 points in 5 playoff games including a goal and three assists in the Championship Finals to lead BWC Academy White to a 6-3 win over Shawnigan Lake. The Busan, South Korea forward finished the regular season with 24 goals and 16 assists in 26 games.

U18 Prep: Landon DuPont – Edge School

With 16 points in 5 games the Calgary, AB underage defenseman tied the U18 Prep Western Championships record set by Arizona Coyotes forward Dylan Guenther. He recorded a division best 11 assists, including 1 in the Championship Final as Edge defeated NAX 3-2 in overtime to secure back-to-back championships. DuPont tallied 62 points in 30 regular season games, a new record for defensemen in the U18 Prep division.

Female U18 Prep: Chloe Primerano – RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna

The University of Minnesota commit set Female U18 Prep Western Championship records with 15 assists and 20 points in 5 games as RHA Kelowna earned their third straight championship. During the regular season the Vancouver, BC defenseman led all skaters with 35 goals, 54 assists and 89 points, all Female U18 Prep single season records.

Eastern U17: Dominic Schnarr – Bishop’s College School

Schnarr recorded nine points in five Eastern Championship games including a hat-trick and an assist in the Finals to lift Bishop’s College to their first ever CSSHL Championship. The Woodstock, NB forward tallied nine points in eight regular season games.

Eastern U18: Oliver Kiraly – Ontario Hockey Academy Prep

Kiraly posted a 3-0-0 record with a 2.75 GAA and .898 SV% to lead OHA Prep to a 6-2 win in the Eastern Championship Finals. He would make 41 saves in the finals while scoring the second goalie goal in CSSHL history, and the first in the Eastern Division. The Budapest, Hungary netminder finished the regular season with a 10-1-1 record, 2.47 GAA and .920SV%.

Former CSSHL student-athletes Emmitt Finnie and Connor Ungar have signed NHL Entry Level Contracts.

Finnie spent three seasons in the CSSHL with Yale Hockey Academy. The Lethbridge, AB forward joined the program in 2018/19, playing for their U15, U15 Prep and U18 Prep team. In 65 total games he would record 51 goals and 56 assists. After being selected in the fourth round, 82nd overall at the 2020 WHL Draft by the Kamloops Blazers, Finnie would join the club in 2021/22, tallying 6 points in 48 games.

Last season he would finish with 35 points in 64 games which lead the Detroit Red Wings to select him in the seventh round of the 2023 NHL Draft. This season Finnie finished with 59 points in 62 WHL games with the Blazers.

A goaltender from Calgary, AB, Ungar joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) U16 Prep team in 2017/18, winning a CSSHL Western Championship that year. He would start the following season with the NAX U18 Prep team before splitting the second half of the year between the AJHL with the Okotoks Oilers, and the WHL with the Brandon Wheat Kings. Undrafted to the WHL, Ungar would bounce around between the Wheat Kings and the AJHL’s Whitecourt Wolverines for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

Ungar would spend the entirety of the 2021/22 season in the WHL with the Red Deer Rebels before joining the Moose Jaw Warriors for the 2022/23 WHL season. He would finish his WHL career with a 2.57GAA, .917SV%, 3 shutouts and a 53-20-2 record in 87 total games.

This season Ungar joined Brock University where he was named a USports (OUA West) All-Rookie Team, First Team All-Star, Goaltender of the Year and Rookie of the Year after posting a 2.15GAA and .932SV% in 26 games. Ungar was undrafted to the NHL but has signed with the Edmonton Oilers.

Former Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) forward Kai Matthew has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Kamloops Blazers after spending the last three seasons in the AJHL.

Matthew joined NAX for the 2019/20 U15 Prep season. In 25 games he would record 38 points, third amongst his team. At the conclusion of the season the Blazers selected Matthew in the fifth round, 107th overall at the 2020 WHL Draft.

The Edmonton, AB forward returned to NAX for the 2020/21 U18 Prep season, tallying one goal and five assists in six games.

Matthew joined the AJHL and Blackfalds Bulldogs in 2022/21, recording 8 points in 33 games. He has spent the last two seasons with the Drumheller Dragons, producing 16 goals, 25 assists and 41 points in 68 games.
