Luke Pfoh and Brandon Santa Juana have committed to Bowling Green State University for the 2023/24 season.

Pfoh spent the 2020/21 season in the Â鶹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú (CSSHL) with the BWC Academy U16 Prep team. In five games the Port Moody, BC forward recorded four goals and one assist. Pfoh would join the Cranbrook Bucks for the 2021/22 British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) season, recording 32 points in 43 games. This past season Pfoh had 17 points in 45 games with the Bucks.

A forward from Langley, BC, Santa Juana played three CSSHL seasons with Delta Hockey Academy. He joined the program in 2015/16 for the U15 season, recording 33 points in 24 games. Santa Juana would play in 28 U15 Prep games the following season, recording 23 points. In 2017/18 he would tally 52 points in 27 U16 Prep games, good enough for second on his team and eighth in the league.

Santa Juana would join the Surrey Eagles for the 2018/19 BCHL season, recording 22 points in 53 games. He would play two more seasons with the Eagles, adding  62 points in 74 games with the team. In 2021/22 Santa Juana joined the Salmon Arm Silverbacks where he has played the last two BCHL seasons. In 106 games with the team he has recorded 94 points.

Located in Bowling Green, OH, Bowling Green State University is an NCAA Division I program competing in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) Conference.

The Surrey Eagles have added four Â鶹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú (CSSHL) student-athletes for the 2022/23 British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) season.

A fourth-round pick, 71st overall by the Seattle Thunderbirds at the 2021 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft, Rylan Bonkowski spent three seasons in the CSSHL. The Richmond, BC defenseman joined Delta Hockey Academy for the 2019/20 U15 season, recording 25 points in 30 games. He would suit up for the BWC Academy U15 Prep team the following season, tallying six assists in six games. This past season Bonkowski finished with 11 points in 20 regular season games, plus 1 assist in 5 playoff games as he helped BWC Academy capture a CSSHL U18 Prep League Championship. Bonkowski played 1 BCHL game as an affiliate player for the Eagles during the 2021/22 campaign.

A forward from Surrey, BC, Savek Brar spent the 2021/22 U18 Prep season with Delta Hockey Academy. Brar would play 13 regular season games with Delta, and 3 more in the playoffs where he would tally 1 assist.

Another BWC Academy product, Ryden Evers has been with BWC Academy since the 2018/19 U15 season where he tallied 32 points in 30 games. The Burnaby, BC forward would finish the 2019/20 U15 Prep season with 30 points in 27 games.  He would finish second among BWC Academy U16 Prep skaters with nine points in five games during the 2020/21 campaign. In 2021/22 Evers would score 13 goals and 23 assists in 24 regular season games, before adding 4 points in 5 playoff games, helping BWC Academy capture a CSSHL U18 Prep League Championship.  Evers would also play one BCHL game as an affiliate player with the Vernon Vipers.

Alexander Sandhu would lead the Delta U18 Prep team in goals (23) and points (48) during the 2021/22 CSSHL season.  In 2020/21 the Delta, BC forward would score one goal and one assist in four U16 Prep games.  Sandhu spent the previous two seasons with the BWC Academy U15 Prep team, tallying 35 points in 56 games.

Hassan Akl has committed to NCAA Division III program Aurora University for the 2022/23 season.

The Chestermere, AB forward spent two seasons in the Â鶹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú (CSSHL) with Edge School. He would join the league in 2016/17, recording 9 goals and 14 assists in 29 U16 Prep games. Akl would finish with 24 points in 35 games the following season with the Edge School U18 Prep team.

In 2018/19 Akl would make the jump to the Alberta Junio Hockey League (AJHL), recording 16 points in 43 games with the Drumheller Dragons. The following seasons Akl would play 17 AJHL games split between the Dragons and Calgary Canucks, eventually joining the Surrey Eagles in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).

Akl would return to the AJHL in 2020/21 with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, finishing third in team scoring with 20 points in 14 games. After 29 points in 38 games with the Oil Barons to begin the 2021/22 season, Akl would join the Lloydminster Bobcats where he would score 3 goals and 19 assists in 20 games.

Aurora University is an NCAA Division III program located in Aurora, Illinois and competing in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) Conference.

Buddy Johnson and Caleb Parkhouse have committed to British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) program Simon Fraser University.

Johnson spent five seasons in the Â鶹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú (CSSHL) with Delta Hockey Academy. He joined the program in 2014/15 for the U15 season, recording 4 points in 12 games while winning a U15 CSSHL League Championship. He would capture another U15 CSSHL League Championship the following season scoring 13 goals and 13 assists in 24 games.

The White Rock, BC forward would record 9 points in 29 U16 Prep games the following season, followed by seasons of 20 and 31 points at the U18 Prep level.

Johnson would join the Surrey Eagles for the 2019/20 British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) season, recording 10 points in 50 games. He would tally 20 points in 18 games in 2020/21, before finishing this season with 17 points in 53 games.

Parkhouse has played the last two seasons in the BCHL with his hometown Powell River Kings. In 62 BCHL games the forward recorded 14 goals and 15 assists.

Prior to joining Powell River Parkhouse played four seasons in the CSSHL with Shawnigan Lake School. He joined the program in 2015/16 with their U15 Prep team, tallying 6 points in 23 games. He would spend the next two years in the U17 Prep division, playing 50 games and recording 56 points while capturing a CSSHL U17 Prep League Championship in 2017/18. Parkhouse would then play one year with the Shawnigan Lake U18 Prep team scoring 15 goals and 13 assists in 31 games, before making the jump to junior.

Simon Fraser University is located in Burnaby, BC.

A pair of Â鶹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú (CSSHL) alumni have committed to NCAA Division I program University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Myles Hilman spent the 2018/19 season with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) U16 Prep team, leading NAX to a CSSHL U16 League Championship. In 36 regular season games Hilman would tally 25 goals and 33 assists for 58 points, second best in the U16 Prep division.

A ninth-round pick, 185th overall by the Prince Albert Raiders in the 2018 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft, Hilman made the jump to the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) with the Drumheller Dragons in 2019/20, finishing with 28 points in 47 games. The Sylvan Lake, AB forward would be named team captain, at just 16 years old, heading into the 2020/21 season where he would finish with 7 points in just 10 games. This year Hilman has 42 points in 41games, including a team high 22 goals.

A forward from White Rock, BC, Jacob Slipec spent four seasons in the CSSHL. He joined the league in 2014/15 with the Delta Hockey Academy U15 team. He would finish with 14 points in 16 games as Delta won a CSSHL U15 League Championship. Slipec would return to the Delta U15 team the following season, once again winning a CSSHL U15 League Championship while tallying 9 points in 11 games.

Slipec would join West Van Academy for the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons, recording 16 points in 25 U16 Prep games, followed by 25 points in 32 U18 Prep games.

He would graduate to the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), spending the 2018/19 season with the Chilliwack Chiefs. He would begin the following season with the Chiefs, before joining the Powell River Kings where he would record 24 points in 45 games. In 2020/21 he would move on to the Surrey Eagles, finishing with 14 points in 17 games. This year Slipec has 30 points in 34 BCHL games with the Eagles.

Located in Omaha, Nebraska, the University of Nebraska-Omaha are a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).

The Surrey Eagles of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) have added a trio of Â鶹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú (CSSHL) student-athletes with the signings of Joel Plante, Eli Pulver and Trent Wilson.

A three-year Yale Hockey Academy student-athlete, Plante played 64 CSSHL games at the U15, U15 Prep, and U17 Prep levels. The Langley, BC forward tallied 35 points, including 7 in 5 games during the COVID-19 shortened 2020/21 season.

Pulver has spent the past four seasons in the CSSHL with St. George’s School. He joined the program in 2017/18, playing for their U15 team. That year he would win a U15 CSSHL League Championship, while finishing with a division best 0.96 goals against average and .926 save percentage. He would play the following season with their U16 Prep team, being named to the leagues All-Academic Team, before spending two seasons with the St. George’s U18 Prep team.

Originally from Tsawwassen, BC, Wilson spent three years at Delta Hockey Academy playing for their U15 Prep, U16 Prep, and U18 Prep teams. In 67 CSSHL games Wilson would tally 27 goals and 35 assists, finishing second on his U16 Prep team scoring in 2019/20 with 41 points in 37 games.

Â鶹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú student athlete Holden Cardinal commits to the British Columbia Hockey League’s Surrey Eagles for the 2020-21 season.

The Surrey, BC product scored 22 goals and added 15 assists (22-15-37) in 34 regular season games in the 2019-20 campaign for the Delta Hockey Academy’s U18 Prep team. 

Cardinal, 17, set up two goals (0-2-2) in only one game played during the 2020 BDO CSSHL Championships which were cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

During the 2018-19 season, the 2003 born forward netted 11 goals and 21 assists (11-21-32) in 31 regular season games. Cardinal then complimented his outstanding season by adding three goals and two assists (3-2-5) for Delta’s U16 prep squad during the championships. 

In four CSSHL seasons, Cardinal notched 76 goals and 84 assists (76-84-160) in 131 career games.

Â鶹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú student athlete Tio D’Addario will suit up for the British Columbia Hockey League’s Surrey Eagles next season.

D’Addario, 17, attended the Mount Academy this past season, competing on their U18 Prep team, where he registered 24 points (13-11-24) in 18 games.

The Montreal, Que. product’s 13 goals were tied for the most on the Mount U18 Prep team and ninth overall in the CSSHL’s Eastern Division.
