Roth spent the 2019/20 season in the CSSHL U16 Prep division with OHA Edmonton. In 36 games the Edmonton, AB defenseman recorded 5 goals and 16 assists.

Selected in the ninth round, 184th overall by the Portland Winterhawks in the 2019 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft, Van Engelen faced off against Roth as a member of the Northern Alberta Xtreme U16 Prep team. In 29 games during the 2019/20 season the Tofield, AB forward registered 4 goals and 11 assists.

Wheatley has spent the last four seasons in the 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) with Shawnigan Lake School, joining the program in 2017/18 with their U15 Prep team. He would spend the 2018/19 season with their U17 Prep team, winning a CSSHL League Championship. Wheatley has played the last two years at the U18 Prep level.

In 74 CSSHL games Wheatley, who is from Abbotsford, BC, had 26 points.
