Record 25 Alumni Selected at 2024 NHL Draft

For the second straight year a record 25 Â鶹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú (CSSHL) alumni were selected at the NHL Draft.

At the 2023 NHL Draft a new record of 25 CSSHL alumni were selected, passing the previous record of 23 at the 2021 NHL Draft. The CSSHL alumni selected matched that record at the 2024 NHL Draft.

Cayden Lindstrom (4th), Tij Iginla, Terik Parascak (17th) and EJ Emery (30th) were all selected in the first round, one off the record of 5 set in 2021 and 2023. Overall, 30 CSSHL alumni have been selected in the first round since 2012.

As a league, the CSSHL saw a record 25 former student-athletes selected between Friday and Saturday. With a total of 225 players selected at this years draft, 11.1% of players selected played in the CSSHL.

34 WHL players were selected with 22 being CSSHL alumni. 4 BCHL players were selected with 2 being CSSHL alumni. 1 CSSHL alumni played for the USNDTP.

In total, 151 CSSHL alumni have now being selected at the NHL Draft since 2012. 73 of those 151 (48%) have been selected in the last three years. 41 of the 151 players selected have gone on to play NHL games.Ìý
