Svejkovsky Inks Deal with Penguins

Svejkovsky spent three seasons with Delta, including the 2015/16 season with their U15 Prep team

Lukas Svejkovsky has signed a National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Level contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Point Roberts, WA forward was originally selected by the Penguins in the fourth round, 108th overall in the 2020 NHL Entry draft.

Svejkovsky has spent the last four seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL), having played for three different teams. Svejkovsky joined the Vancouver Giants in 2018/19 after they selected him in the second round, 36th overall in the 2016 WHL Draft. He would spend one and a half seasons with the Giants, recording 36 points in 85 games.

He would be traded to the Medicine Hat Tigers during the 2019/20 season, playing 34 games and recording 28 points with them that season. He would tally 20 points in 22 games during the 2020/21 season, and 30 points in 24 games in 2021/22 before being traded to the Seattle Thunderbirds. In 31 games with the Thunderbirds Svejkovsky has scored 19 goals to go along with 24 assists.

Prior to his WHL career, Svejkovsky played the 2017/18 season in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) with the Wenatchee Wild, finishing with 11 points in 16 games, helping the Wild capture a BCHL Championship.

Svejkovsky spent three seasons in the 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) with Delta Hockey Academy. He would suit up for the Delta U15 Prep team for the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons, tallying 41 points in 43 games. In 2016/17 he would play for the Delta U16 Prep team, finishing with 27 assists and 17 goals in just 22 games.
