Canadian Sports School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes Colby Bear and Tanner Gold have signed in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) with the Battlefords North Stars.
Bear has spent the last three seasons playing for the Pilot Mound Hockey Academy U17 Prep team. Selected in the 11th round of the 2018 Western Hockey League (WHL) Bantam Draft by the Regina Pats, Bear tallied 34 goals and 36 assists in 63 CSSHL regular season and playoff games. The 6’2 forward is originally from Peguis, MB.
Gold spent just one year in the CSSHL, joining South Alberta Hockey Academy (SAHA) for the 2020/21 COVID-19 pandemic season. In six games the Medicine Hat, AB defenseman recorded two points.
