The Blackfalds Bulldogs have added five 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) student-athletes for the 2022/23 Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) season.
A defenseman from Calgary, AB, Jacob Dennis spent three seasons in the CSSHL with Edge School. Dennis joined the program in 2019/20, recording 14 points in 28 U15 Prep games. He would play five games the following season at the U16 Prep level, finishing with six points. Dennis would finish his CSSHL career in 2021/22 with one point in four U18 Prep games.
Delta Hockey Academy forward Bailey Ewonus spent four seasons with the program. In 2018/19 he would lead the Delta U15 team in scoring with 46 points in just 30 games. He would suit up for the U16 Prep team the following season, recording 13 points in 27 games. The Coquitlam, BC product has spent the last two seasons with the Delta U18 Prep team, tallying 29 points in 40 games.
Selected in the second-round, 45th overall at the 2021 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft by the Swift Current Broncos, Otto Hanson played two seasons with Edge School. The Calgary, AB forward joined the program in 2020/21, recording six points in six U15 Prep games. As a teammate of Dennis in 2021/22, Hanson would score 5 goals and 12 assists in 34 games. Hanson would play one AJHL game as an affiliate player for the Bulldogs in 2021/22.
Lethbridge, AB forward Layne Loomer joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) for the 2020/21 U16 Prep season, playing in just three games due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Loomer would return to NAX the following season, finishing third on his U18 Prep team in points with 50 in 34 games. In 2021/22 Loomer skated in five AJHL games as an affiliate player with the Okotoks Oilers, recording one assist.
Jack Plandowski spent the 2019/20 U15 Prep season with the Edge School U15 Prep team. In 30 games the Halifax, NS forward recorded 9 goals and 21 assists. The Blainville-Boisbriand Armada would select Plandowski with the 136th pick in the 2021 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) Entry Draft.
