Having already added four players with Canadian Sports School Hockey League (CSSHL) experience to their inaugural 2021/22 roster, the Alberta Junior Hockey League鈥檚 (AJHL) Blackfalds Bulldogs have added an additional three CSSHL alumni.
With the recent additions of Kaiden Bugera, Kirkland Mullen and Carter Yarish the Bulldogs inaugural roster is set to include seven CSSHL alumni.
Bugera has spent the past three seasons playing for his hometown Edge School. The defenseman joined the program in 2018/19 playing for their U15 Prep team. In 2019/20 he would suit up for their U16 Prep team, before joining their U18 Prep team this past season. In 76 CSSHL games Bugera managed 39 points.
A sixth-round pick, 132nd overall in the 2018 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft by his hometown Moose Jaw Warriors. Mullen spent two seasons with Prairie Hockey Academy including one in the CSSHL. The forward tallied a team best 43 points in 32U U16 Prep gams in 2018/19.
Yarish spent the 2018/19 campaign competing against Mullen with the Yale Hockey Academy U16 Prep team. The Prince George, BC forward led the team in scoring, recording 28 points in 34 games.
The Bulldogs previously operated in the AJHL as the Calgary Mustangs before current owner Doug Quinn purchased the team and began the relocation process of moving them north to Blackfalds.
