In the third, Dmitri Tsimberis would restore Kuper’s two goal advantage. This goal would prove costly as Bourget would sneak one more through to make this game 3-2. Jeremy Lemieux (30/32) would hold down the fort late, making 30-saves in the winning effort for Kuper.

However, Cyril Herauf would get Notre Dame on the board with a powerplay marker of his own. Joshua Legette soon after would cut the Hounds’ deficit to one. A late goal from Rock Oosterveld (2G) would restore North Shore’s two goal lead. In the third, Laurenz Liebhart would once again extend the Warriors lead, but a late spurt from Notre Dame made this a one goal game as Ryder Pisiak and Broker Fox found twine. Notre Dame wouldn’t find the late tying goal as Kellen Ceraldi (21/25) stayed strong in the final minutes of play.

BWC Academy (0) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (7) U18 Prep

NAX’s output doubled each period in their 7-0 victory over BWC Academy, scoring once in the first, twice in the second, and four times in the third. Ben Deacon (1G, 2A) and Jackson DeGraves (1G, 2A) each led the way, racking up three points apiece including the GWG from Deacon. In goal, Nate Stevens (21/21) steered aside all 21-BWC shots for his first shutout of the season and his fourth consecutive win as a starter.

In OT, Braeden Malenchak would net the winner for NAX, spoiling St. Mary’s from a second win on Saturday.

Okanagan Hockey Academy (4) vs North Shore Warriors (1) U15

Showing shades of his older brothers, Landon Ruck (2G) netted two goals with OHA on Saturday evening. Ruck’s two along with Reiya Tsuchikawa’s second period goal would bolster OHA’s lead to 4-0 by the halfway mark of the game. North Shore’s Nicholas Shieldon would net a shorthanded goal for the Warriors’ lone tally of the game. Ethan Watson (26/27) was in goal for the win, backing OHA to their eighth win of the season.

St. George’s School (3) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep

Charlie Weaver opened the scoring midway through the first period with his ninth goal of the season for St. George’s. CIHA would tie the game 40 seconds into the second when Townes Kozicky picked up a loose puck in front and beat Cash Christie (32/34) blocker side. CIHA would take the lead 1:27 into the third when defenseman Easton LaPlante scored glove side from a sharp angle. Midway through the third some St. George’s pressure would lead to a scramble in front where defenseman Thomas Rode (1G, 1A) fired the puck into the top of the net over a sprawling Cole Prelusky (31/34), evening the score. The back and forth contest looked like it was headed to overtime until Brenden Morgan scored the game winning goal for St. George’s with 1:06 remaining, giving them the 3-2 win in the last game of the night.

Bennett Byers (38/41) and Quinn Burfoot (27/31) were in net for their respective teams.

Prairie Hockey Academy (4) vs St. George’s School (3) U18 Prep

St. George’s kicked off Friday’s feature with a bang after Brendan Morgan banged home a close shot to give the Saints the initial lead. Later in the frame, a shot off the boards from Everett Silvertips prospect, Eddy Spytz, doubled St. George’s advantage. Just before the end of the frame, Micah Davidson (33/36) would make a huge glove save in close. This save would prove to be the difference maker come the third. Rylan Emigh (1G, 3A) would bring PHA to within one early in the period while Griffin Horne would tie things up soon after. St. George’s would find themselves on a 2-on-0 in the late stages of the contest but failed to capitalise. Coming the other way, PHA would establish some zone time and a loose puck in front would find Pratte’s stick, where he would make no mistake, giving PHA their first lead that would go on to seal our Feature Game. Davidson would pick up 33-stops in the win.

Fairmont Hockey (3) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (7) U17

Mathew Kadrie (3G) scored 3:54 in to give Fairmont an early lead but OHA would hold the advantage after 20 as Gage Kiselbach (2G) and Brody Shilton tallied power play markers, and Saiva Brar (1G, 1A) scored his second of the year. Kadrie added a power play goal of his own early in the second but Kiselbach quickly countered 1:19 later with another goal for OHA while on the man advantage. Luke Edgehouse (1G, 1A) added to the lead 29 seconds later and Beckham Taggart (1G, 1A) recorded OHA’s fourth power play goal of the game later in the period. The third would start the same way as the previous two periods as Kadrie completed the hat-trick for Fairmont. Tristan Hoko (2G) opened the scoring in the second in part of a three goal chain. ISA would pick up their lone goal in the third thanks to the efforts of U17 Prep call-up, Owen Sinclair. Georgi Milanov (32/33) steered aside 32-shots in the win while Kael Ratt (48/55) posted 48-saves in a hard fought match.

Edge School (6) vs BWC Academy (3) U18 Prep

Jonathan Bitonti (2G, 1A) opened the scoring in the early stages for BWC Academy, giving them a lead through the opening twenty. Kelowna Rockets prospect Owen Hayden nabbed the game tying goal early in the second, but Bitonti would restore BWC Academy’s lead part way through the frame. Shortly after Bitonti’s tally, Edge School would find their rhythm as Adam M’hamed (2G, 1A) and Jeff Niehaus scored under a minute apart to give Edge School their first lead. Edge would continue this streak in the third as Julian Revel and Ethan Elefante nabbed another two for the Calgary-based team. Yale would come out firing in the third with Jayden Oleskiw (2G) scoring 52 seconds in. Matthew Dowall (1G, 1A) scored a power play goal 46 seconds later to put his team ahead and Oleskiw added another goal on the man-advantage as Yale led 6-4 after trailing most of the game. Hunter Kelso (2G) would cut into the deficit 1:14 later before tying the game three minutes after that. The game would need overtime where after CIHA hit a couple of posts, Scott Sandilands (1G, 1A) scored his third of the season to give CIHA the 7-6 win.

Notre Dame (3) vs Shawnigan Lake School (5) U18 Prep

Shawnigan grabbed the game’s first goal when Ryan Turner scored 8:20 in on the power play. Rio Minotti tied the game less than two minutes later with his second of the year. Teams would once again exchange goals in the second as Henry Doucette and Enan Vlad found the back of the net for their respective teams. In the shootout, each team would score in their opening three shooters, making way for an extra three rounds until we found the winner. 6’3 defenceman Sam McLean unleashed his inner Peter Forsberg, beating Liam Kellett (33/35) with a one handed finish to give Edge the win.

South Alberta Hockey Academy (3/SO) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (2) U18 Prep

Brady Walker opened the scoring late in the first for RHA Kelowna, hopefully generating some momentum into the second. However, the scoring would stay quiet. It wouldn’t be until the late stages of the second where SAHA would find their first tally thanks to the efforts of Luke Warrener. Ryan Sadovia would restore RHA Kelowna’s lead early in the third, but a Josiah Jackson goal partway through the frame was enough to force extra time. In the eventual shootout, six rounds were needed to find the winner, eventually going on to be Medicine Hat Tiger’s draft pick Avery Watson, beating Conner Nicolson (37/39) on a move to the backhand. Mattias Radke (37/39) would stop 37-shots and 5/6 shooters in the shootout, backing SAHA to the promised land.

Pilot Mound would eventually restore their lead and extend it to 3-1 after William L’Heureux and Caleb DeBruyne (1G, 1A) found twine. Collin Ubrig would get one back later in the second for the Wild. Despite being behind, Wenatchee would catch a break in the third as Inoue etched two goals into the scoresheet, including a shorty for the go ahead marker. William Picklyk (1G, 1A) would bring things back to even shortly after but a late goal from Luca Doremus put Wenatchee back in front. However, the one who started it all would also end it all. Stefani would find the back of the net with 67-seconds left to spare, sealing up the win and fending off a CDA comeback.

OHA Edmonton (5) vs North Shore Warriors (1) U17

Nishaan Jauhol would score the first’s lone goal for North Shore. However, this would be the only goal the Warriors would tally in this contest as OHA Edmonton flicked on the nitro for the final forty, gathering five goals before the horn sounded. Hudson Blair (1G, 1A) and Kaeleb Kassongo (1G, 1A) led the way with a goal and an assist each while Osten Strickland netted the GWG. Ho made an astounding 49-saves in this contest, blanking PCHA through the final forty.

Fairmont Hockey (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4/OT) U17

Despite playing earlier this morning, Fairmont wouldn’t give RHA Kelowna a laid back contest, opening the scoring and heading out of the first with only behind by one. RHA Kelowna’s Kesler Hamilton (3G) netted a hatty in the opening twenty minutes. A quiet second would follow as the only goal scored would come in the final second as Mathew Kadrie (3G) polished off his hat-trick as well. No scoring would take place in the third, leading this game to OT. Late into 3-on-3, Aiden Andrews (1G, 1A) would net his 23rd of the season to give RHA Kelowna the close cut win.

Delta would score another two before the end of the first with Shawnigan’s Samuel Wilson cutting the deficit to one. Caden Leibel (1G, 1A) would restore the three goal lead but two late goals from Shawnigan had the potential to make for an interesting third. Shawnigan would keep up with Delta’s pace in the final frame, but Delta would get the better end of them, scoring twice, cementing their Friday night win.

Notre Dame (5) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (6/OT) U15 Prep

Just under a minute into the extra frame, Cole Landreville (1G, 3A) would net the winner in part of a four point performance, thwarting Notre Dame’s comeback hopes.

Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep

Goals by Easton Doran (1G, 1A) and Ben Deacon were separated by less than a minute to give NAX the early two goal spread. Charlie Grant would get one back for OHA early in the second but a quick response from Liam Eisnor restored the two goal lead. It wasn’t until the third where OHA would find their wheels again as Jacob Davidson and Tucker Robertson knotted things up at three with back-to-back goals in quick succession. However, a final minute goal from Jake Walker would silence any hope of an OHA comeback. Tyler Swanson (31/34) picked up the win with 31-saves while Chayse Johnson (49/53) posted a formidable 49-saves in the close battle.

However, a late goal from Braydon Franks tipped the momentum in OHA Edmonton’s favour. To start the third, OHA Edmonton would rally back with two quick goals off the sticks of Hunter Yee and Parker Fitzgerald (1G, 1A). PCHA would get back on track as Elliott Hill restored their lead while Anderson netted his hat-trick to put them ahead by two. A late powerplay goal from Paulo Borrelli had a chance to give OHA Edmonton some life, but yet another goal from Anderson in the final sixty seconds labeled this win for PCHA.

Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) vs OHA Edmonton (3) U17 Prep

Jihwan Kim opened the scoring a mere 11-seconds into play for OHA Edmonton. Brody Dawson (2G, 1A) would add the equalizer part way through the frame, keeping things tied through twenty. The scoring would take a hiatus in the second but another early goal from OHA Edmonton, courtesy of Kolton Ferguson (1G, 1A), would restore OHA Edmonton’s lead. Nolan Phare would respond with his ninth of the season soon after while Dawson potted his second to give NAX their first lead. In the late stages of the third, Kai Richards would tie things up for OHA Edmonton, forcing overtime against their inner-city rivals. In the extra frame, Kaysun Brunham would find the back of the net, completing the third period comeback in style.

Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (5) U17 Prep

CIHA kicked off with what you could call the perfect start. Three goals in just over a minute of play to polish off the first. However, SAHA would catch steam in the second, scoring three unanswered in a short span as well to wrap up the frame. Come the third, Kade Jensen would score the go ahead goal for SAHA only 26-seconds into play. SAHA would go on to hold this lead while Kutcher Aquila (2G, 2A) added the empty netter. Later in the frame, Adie Schneider would go hard to the crease and stuff home a rebound to put BWC Academy ahead for her fourth goal of the season. RHA Kelowna’s Dylan Mingo (54/59) was hot to start the second, making a couple huge saves, giving his team an opportunity to knot things up at 2-2. However, a late powerplay goal from Cohen Baker (1G, 2A) would further add to BWC Academy’s lead. In the third, Logan Henry (2G) would add his 20th and 21st goals of the campaign to put this game to rest. Edgar made 28-saves in the win, going perfect after surrendering this match’s initial tally.

OHA Edmonton (3) vs Edge School (6) U18 Prep

Edge School opened the scoring with three unanswered goals in the first period. Kaden Wilkins would get one back for OHA Edmonton in the final minute of the frame, but Edge would resume their offence in the second. Adam M’hamed (1G, 1A) scored only 41-seconds into the middle frame while Keegan de Sa’s 10th of the year further added to the lopsided score. OHA Edmonton would get two back to try and spark a late comeback in the third but Kelowna Rockets prospect Owen Hayden would add a late insurance marker for Edge.

Notre Dame (1) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep

Following a scoreless opening half to the game, Seamus Dillon (2G) would finally break the deadlock, getting Prairie on the board. However, only two minutes later Lewis Brown would nab one on the powerplay for Notre Dame to bring things back to even. Scoring continued to be a luxury in this contest as the third only saw one goal. Once again, Dillon would snap the tie and this one would go on to stand as our game winner. Karter Hilbig (16/17) would post his seventh consecutive victory in goal, bolstering his overall record in goal to 8-2-0.
