CSSHL Adds STAR Academy for 2023/24 Season

STAR Hockey Academy, in partnership with Kent Valley Hockey Association, has been accepted into the 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) as its 31st member for the 2023/24 season as voted by the league鈥檚 Board of Governors.

鈥淭he CSSHL is excited to add a program like STAR Hockey Academy to our western division as we continue to expand and grow our league across North America,鈥 said CSSHL COO Kevin Goodwin.

STAR Hockey Academy, in partnership with Kent Valley Hockey Association and Kennedy Catholic High School, becomes Seattle, WA first education-based hockey academy. STAR鈥檚 inaugural 14U team will compete in the CSSHL U15 division.

鈥淭his is an exciting time for youth hockey in Seattle. STAR Hockey Academy provides an exceptional development opportunity for student athletes and their families to participate in elite level, education-based hockey鈥 stated Tanner Glass, Vice-President and Director of Hockey for STAR.

Founding STAR partners are retired-NHLer and New York Rangers Player Development Coach Glass, local philanthropist and businessman Jamie Brunner, and Nathan Fischer, who owns CSSHL member program, the North Shore Warriors.

“This is a unique and exciting partnership for the youth in Seattle and the State of Washington,” agrees Kennedy Catholic President/Principal Matthew Mohs. “STAR Hockey Academy and Kennedy Catholic are both committed to providing student-athletes the opportunity to pursue all-around excellence. Our partnership ensures kids in the Pacific Northwest have the ability to develop their hockey talents while also receiving a quality education.”

STAR Hockey Academy is hosting an open house for families and prospective student athletes the evening of April 4th, with 14U try-outs taking place April 5th and 6th at Kent Valley Ice Centre.
