Fiddler-Schultz Signs First Pro Contract

Former 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) student-athlete Riley Fiddler-Schultz has signed a two-year American Hockey League (AHL) Contract with the Rochester Americans.

Fiddler-Schultz spent two seasons in the CSSHL split between Pursuit of Excellence (POE) and the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX). He joined POE for the 2015/16 U15 season where he recorded 11 points in 24 games.

The Sherwood Park, AB forward 听would be drafted in the seventh round, 148th overall by the Calgary Hitmen at the 2017 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft.

Fiddler-Schultz would then spend one season with the NAX U16 Prep team, finishing fifth in team and seventh in league scoring with 53 points in 36 games. He would add seven points in five playoff games as NAX captured the 2018 CSSHL U16 Prep Western Championship.

In 2018/19 he would join the Hitmen for his first WHL season, recording 11 points in 53 games. The following campaign Fiddler-Schultz would tally 19 points in 44 games while winning the WHL Humanitarian of the Year Award (Doug Wickenheiser Trophy).

During the 2020/21 COVID-19 shortened season Fiddler-Schultz would finish with 15 points in 20 games.

Fiddler-Schultz would have a break-out season in 2021/22, leading his team with 28 goals, 41 assists and 69 points in 65 games while being named to the WHL (Central Division) Second All-Star Team.

This season Fiddler-Schultz would captain the Hitmen while again leading them in goals (31), assists (44) and points (75) in 64 games. His 75 points would earn him a spot on the WHL (Central Division) First All-Star Team.
