Mathys Morrisette got the lone goal in the first to give Bourget the initial lead. Ian Burnett (1G, 1A) would double the lead in the second while Victor Morrisette-Richer (1G, 1A). Zack Bernique got Ulysse on the board in the last second of the second to try and spark something in the third. However, Maxemile Richard would add Bourget’s insurance marker in the third, sealing up the win. Alexandro Montoya (23/24) made 23-saves in the victory.
North Shore Warriors (10) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) U18 Prep
Caleb DeBruyne gave Pilot Mound a 1-0 lead 3:43 in but it was all North Shore from there as they scored 10 unanswered Saturday morning. Nicholas Morin (2G, 3A) and Dominic Seminoff (2G, 1A) each scored twice while Matteo Paradiso (1G, 3A) chipped in with three assists in the win. Georgi Milanov (32/33) and Aiden Trapp (57/67) were in net for their respective teams.Ìý
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (1) U18 Prep
In Saturday’s CSSHL Feature Matchup, Sullivan Humeniuk got things started off with a patented blast from the point, giving PCHA the initial lead. Mattias Radke (29/33) would come up with a huge glove save midway through the first, trying to spark something for SAHA. However, Cameron Collins would score on a breakaway late, falling into the goal after sliding one home on his forehand. Come the second, Josiah Jackson would cut SAHA’s deficit to one after batting home his initial shot after it bounced off the boards and over the goal. Late in the frame, Parson Shahi (2A) and Maxwell Hoey would capitalise on a 2-on-0 while playing 4-on-4, restoring PCHA’s two goal advantage. Roman Lavery would add yet another insurance marker to PCHA’s lead in the third, wrapping up their early start with a win. Sam Siskiw (29/30) picked up 29-saves in the win, including one huge glove save part way through the second.ÌýÌý
St. Mary’s High School (7) vs Delta Hockey Academy (2) U17
Stefan Couloures (1G, 2A), Devin Kian Shape and Luke Vink (3G) all scored in a 2:22 span as St. Mary’s led 3-0 after 20. Lachlan Spaulding, Darrian Stevens (1G, 1A) and Vink would add second period goals to double their advantage heading into the final period. Vink would complete the hat-trick 9:37 into the third period as St. Mary’s held a comfortable 7-0 advantage. Jack Triance and Otto Puhakka each scored in the final minute of the game for Delta to avoid being shutout by Matthew Turpin (44/46).
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) U17
Nolan Rafferty and Atley Feniuk (1G, 1A) scored goals separated by only 29-seconds to kick off this contest. Cohen Waldschmidt would cut CDA’s deficit to one shortly after but the two goal advantage was restored quickly by Elijah Rempel (2G, 1A). RHA Winnipeg would run off with this contest as the clock ticked down, acquiring another three goals through the next two frames. Rempel would lead the way with a three point performance Zaiden McDonald-Horvath (18/19) steered 18-shots aside in the victory.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy Green (4) Female U18 Prep
Delta Green (11-8-1) handed RHA Kelowna (18-1-0) their first loss of the season Saturday with a 4-2 victory. Alida Korte and London McDavid traded goals in the first before Gabriella Lee gave Delta Green their first lead 5:01 into the second. Kennedy Sisson tied the game 3:22 later with a power play goal, her 16th goal of the season. Payton Finnie restored the Delta Green lead 2:32 after, when she scored her sixth of the season. Determined to secure the win, Molly Cole (1G, 1A) scored her 19th of the year late in the period to double the Delta Green advantage. Maisie Cope (32/34) and Jaya Schippel (16/20) kept clean sheets in the third as Delta Green held on for the 4-2 upset win over the previously undefeated RHA Kelowna.Ìý
Shawnigan Lake School (6) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (1) U18 Prep
A pair of goals from Cole Mekelburg (2G) and Easton Sangris (2G, 1A) got Shawnigan off to a hot start against Prairie Hockey Academy. Vincent Croteau (1G, 2A) would later add to that lead in the second before Rylan Emigh cut the deficit back down to two. Emigh’s goal would stand as PHA’s lone goal as Shawnigan took control in the latter half of this contest. Will Stonehouse (34/35) picked up the win between the pipes, stopping 34-shots in the process.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) vs OHA Edmonton (3) U18 Prep
Calum Giese opened the scoring early for OHA Edmonton but their BC counterparts would respond with two to end the frame with OHA up by one. Linkin Stadnek would add to OHA’s advantage just 13-seconds into the second period while Regina Pats prospect Cohen Handby (2G, 1A) tallied his second of the afternoon later in the frame. Jackson Roberts (2G, 2A) opened the scoring in the third for OHA with a shorthanded marker. OHA Edmonton would strike two more times before the end of the frame, but couldn’t surmount the 5-1 deficit they racked up through this contest. Chayse Johnson (29/32) made 29-stops including a PS attempt in the third to keep things 5-3.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (7) vs Edge School (3) U17
Winston Chicilo gave the hosts Edge School a 1-0 lead 6:51 into the game with his eighth of the season. Jaxson Bartsch (1G, 1A) tied the game later in the period with his 14th goal of the season for OHA. OHA would take control in the second as Gage Kiselbach (2G, 1A) gave them the lead and Rylan Bengert (1G, 1A) and Beckham Taggart (1G, 1A) added late power play goals as it was a 4-1 game heading into the third. Kiselbach increased the advantage 22 seconds into the third with his second of the game. Henry Doucette (1G, 1A) would halt the run 1:05 later but OHA quickly responded as Luke Edgehouse (1G, 2A) scored his ninth of the year 1:04 after. Jacob Kuntz and Caiden Osiowy-Mah traded goals 17 seconds apart midway through the third to round out the scoring. Tyson Kuiack (38/41) and Emerson Popil (37/44) were in net for their respective teams.Ìý
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (4) U17
Nolan Ganter (2G) scored five-on-five and Blake Sanderson scored on the power play as Pacific Coast grabbed a 2-0 lead. Kase Gellner (2G) got Prairie on the board late in the second and a Tyson Ross power play goal tied the game midway through the game. Ganter and Gellner traded goals to close out the second period. Braden Thompson (1G, 1A) scored the game winner for Prairie 8:13 into the third period and Colton Lutz (30/33) made 30 saves in the win.Ìý
Yale Hockey Academy (4) vs Shawnigan Lake School (1) U17 Prep
Shawnigan led 1-0 after 20 as Jack Broekhuizen scored on the power play with 5:56 left in the period. It was all Yale the rest of the way as Adrien Comeau scored 33 seconds into the second to tie it and Matteo Di Stefano (1G, 1A) put his team ahead on the power play. Daniel Havard and Seth Castronuovo added third period markers to secure the Yale victory. Jason Ho (36/37) and Liam Chamberlain (32/35) were in net for their respective teams.Ìý
Notre Dame (1) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (4) U15 Prep
In a rematch of yesterday’s 6-5 Pilot Mound win the home side came out victorious again with a 4-1 win Saturday. Matteo Grieco opened the scoring 6:54 in with his sixth goal of the season. Matthew Boekelder countered for Notre Dame with 1:03 left in the period. Kai Dingwall (1G, 1A) restored the Pilot Mound lead midway through the second with his seventh goal of the year. Cole Landreville (1G, 2A) and Maddox Ramage (1G, 1A) each scored their 19th of the year in the third as Pilot Mound outshot Notre Dame 34-19 in the win. Yuki Kido (18/19) was in net for the win.Ìý
STAR Hockey Academy (0) vs Delta Hockey Academy White (7) U15
Aaurn Parmar (18/18) made 18 saves for his first shutout of the season in a 7-0 win over STAR. Colby Walker (1G, 3A) led all skaters with four points while Jake Dunlop (2G) and Jayden Ni (2G) each scored twice for Delta White in the win. Defensemen Brady Cook (1G, 2A) and Yoo Joon Kim (1G, 1A) scored the other Delta White goals. Cameron Rusyniak (29/36) made 29 saves in the loss.Ìý
BWC Academy (6) vs STAR Hockey Academy (5) U17 Prep
Ewen Willers (3G) and Colton Stabbler scored in the first for STAR while Zephyr Harms scored for Yale as it was a one goal game after 20. Willers doubled the lead while shorthanded early in the second but BWC Academy would respond with goals from Ermolai Yarygin and Declan Iacoviello (1G, 2A) 17 seconds apart. Aleks Ostrovskyy (1G, 1A) restored the STAR lead with 5:01 left in the second period. Ryan Fox (2G, 1A) would tie the game to start the third before adding a power play marker to put BWC Academy ahead. Nic Collins (1G, 1A) scored the eventual game winner just 16 seconds later. Willers completed the hat-trick and put STAR within one but Josh Wu (31/36) denied them a game tying goal.Ìý
Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (5) vs Notre Dame (2) U18 Prep
Despite being outshot in the first Notre Dame led 1-0 as Rio Minotti scored his third goal of the season. Each team would capitalise on the lack of discipline in the second as Kyson Lindsay (2G, 1A) scored two power play goals for Wenatchee, and Micah Pimm countered on the man advantage for Notre Dame. Otaro Inoue (2G, 2A) put Wenatchee ahead 35 seconds into the third before finishing off a great passing play 10 minutes later to double the lead. Wenatchee would take advantage of the man advantage once more as Jackson McCutcheon (1G, 1A) put in the back door tap in on a pass from Inoune to secure the win. Nathaniel Madrigal (24/26) and Josh Blair (45/50) were in net for their respective teams.Ìý
Yale Hockey Academy (13) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (1) U18 Prep
Yale put up 78 shots on Ethan Lewis (65/78) in a 13-1 win Saturday. Bodie Jerome (3G, 1A) recorded a hat-trick while Kyounghun Oh (1G, 4A) and Jayden Oleskiw (2G, 3A) led the team with five points each in a game that saw all but two Yale skaters record a point. Parker Kulmatycki (17/18) had his shutout bid end late in the second on an Emery Medicine Shield goal for ISA.
North Shore Warriors (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4/SO) U15 Prep
The two teams were tied 1-1 after 20 as Edward Kemp (2G) and Bronson Lamontagne traded goals late in the period. Sean Murphy scored the lone second period goal on the power play as North Shore grabbed a 2-1 advantage heading into the third. Cole Morley tied the game 2:51 into the first period with his first goal of the season. Kemp would put North Shore back ahead midway through the frame but Jack Leslie would force overtime with 1:29 remaining. After five minutes of extra play solved nothing, Alexander Sharman scored the lone shootout goal and Gunner Podollan (15/18) stopped all three North Shore shooters as RHA Kelowna earned a 4-3 win. Ashton Sims (41/44) faced 44 shots in the loss.Ìý
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (8) vs OHA Edmonton (2) U17
A highly contested first period saw the two teams tied heading into the intermission as Kaedyn Scherer scored for OHA Edmonton and Maximilian Koppel (2G) countered for RHA Kelowna. RHA Kelowna would flip the script in the second, outshooting OHA Edmonton 19-8 and score four straight with Bennett Macek (1G, 1A) and Koppel scoring once, and Kaustav Pradeep (2G, 1A) scoring twice including once shorthanded. Noah Stone (1G, 1A) halted the run with one second left in the second but it was more of the same from RHA Kelowna in the third as Kesler Hamilton, Colton Deschamps and Ryan Serfas (1G, 1A) all found the back of the net in what ended as an 8-2 win.Ìý
STAR Hockey Academy (4) vs Shawnigan Lake School (1) U15 Prep
Daniel Makovestskiy (2G, 1A) scored the opening goal just 40 seconds in, finding the back of the net for the 18th time this season. Darwin Ketch tied the game on the power play less than seven minutes later, though it was quickly countered by a Levi Ellingsen (1G, 1A) power play marker. Makovestskiy doubled the lead late in the period before a scoreless second saw STAR lead 3-1 after 40. Ronin Brunner added an insurance marker for STAR with 5:27 to play and Alexander Petukhov (36/37) finished with 36 saves.Ìý
Fairmont Hockey (2) vs BWC Academy (4) U17
A power play goal from Siwoo Lee (2G) saw BWC Academy hold a 1-0 advantage after 20. Kaisu Tennen (2G) tied the game early in the second before trading goals with Kijin Cho as the two teams were even going into the third. Jacob Napoleon put BWC Academy back on top to start the third and Lee added an insurance marker a few minutes later. Tyce Kinsey (23/25) finished with 23 saves to grab his fourth win of the season.Ìý
Notre Dame (4) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (6) U17 Prep
Notre Dame scored four straight to start the game as Logan Arnold and Khalen Menger (2G) scored in the first, and Lewis Brown (1G, 1A) and Menger scored power play goals early in the second. However, a shorthanded goal by Kutcher Aquila (3G, 1A) kick-started a comeback that saw SAHA score six unanswered of their own to grab the 6-4 win. Aquila scored again 2:02 later on the power play and SAHA scored another shorthanded goal, this time from Aidan Poulin, 1:21 into the third. Ryker Klassen scored less than two minutes later to tie the game and Aquila completed the comeback late in the third with his hat-trick goal. Sully Kufflick (1G, 1A) added an empty netter with 42 seconds remaining to secure the win.Ìý
Prairie Hockey Academy (5) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (4) U17 Prep
Jack Perrier scored just 55 seconds in and Collin Friedrich (1G, 1A) added his 14th of the year as Pilot Mound led 2-0 after 20. Casey Silverman (1G, 1A) increased the lead 9:10 into the second as Pilot Mound seemed in total control. But Prairie goals from Seamus Dillon (2G, 2A), Kade Kahovec (1G, 1A) and Dillon again tied the game heading into the third. Ramsey Thompson put Prairie ahead with 5:47 remaining and Luke Pratte (1G, 1A) doubled the advantage 2:30 later. Xianen Evans would get Pilot Mound back within one with a power play goal, but it was in the final minute and they were unable to find an equaliser as the clock ran out.Ìý
Delta Hockey Academy (1/OT) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (0) U17 Prep
Matthew Wong (31/31) and Parker Parrish (30/31) each faced 31 shots and played 60 minutes of scoreless hockey but only Wong would come away with the shutout as a Kishan Saggu goal 3:45 into the extra frame saw Delta defeat Pacific Coast 1-0.Ìý
Delta Hockey Academy (7) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) U18 Prep
Delta struck twice on the power play early as Nicholas Campbell (3G) and Alexander Laing (1G, 1A) each found the back of the net. Layne Schofield (1G, 1A) countered with a power play goal of his own but goals from Nate Barclay (1G, 1A) and Campbell 32 seconds apart saw Delta go up 4-1 heading into the second. Carter Haney brought RHA Winnipeg within two early in the second but Delta once again had a response as Jacob Schwartz (1G, 1A) and Cruz Waltze tallied even strength markers. Drayden Uhrina scored 2:42 into the third while on the penalty kill to cut into the deficit but it was all for nothing as Campbell completed the hat-trick late to secure the win. Ashton Thornton (40/43) made 40 saves to record the win.ÌýÌý
Frontier Selects (2) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (7) U18 Prep
Ayden Probe netted the first goal of the contest for Frontier, giving them the edge through twenty minutes of play. However, CDA would strike at rich in the second, scoring four unanswered goals to rack up a 4-1 lead by the latter half of the frame. Laker Pearson got one back for Frontier before the buzzer sounded, but it was going to be an uphill climb in the third. CDA would pot another three in the third, taking this game in commanding fashion by a five goal margin. Elias Schneider (3G) led the way with a hat-trick performance while Colton Lee (28/30) made 28-saves and stopped a penalty shot in the second period.
Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (3) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (4) U17 Prep
Ellis Austin’s first of the season came 58-seconds into play to give Wenatchee the early advantage. Later in the frame, Preston Dalebout (1G, 1A) was able to knot things up at 1-1 for CDA. Scoring would slow down in the second but a late goal from Colton MastertonÌý (1G, 1A) was able to put Wenatchee back in front before the intermission. However, Wyatt Brooks (2G) nabbed his first of the campaign early in the third, once again tying this game up. Artem Gunko would later give CDA their first lead, scoring at the halfway point of the frame. Shortly after, Dublin McGuire would tie up this contest once again, looking to force a potential OT. Things were trending towards extra time in the final minute of play, but Brooks would come up huge with 17-seconds remaining, giving CDA the lead and the outright win with his late tally.
Kuper Academy (3) vs Bourget College (2) East U17
Thomas Brereton got Kuper Academy on the board first early in the opening frame. Gianfranco Capparelli would add to this lead in the second but Louis Charron would quickly cut Bourget’s deficit back down to one. In the third, Dmitri Tsimberis would restore Kuper’s two goal advantage. This goal would prove costly as Bourget would sneak one more through to make this game 3-2. Jeremy Lemieux (30/32) would hold down the fort late, making 30-saves in the winning effort for Kuper.Ìý
Northern Alberta Xtreme (1) vs Edge School (4) U15
Edge School would leave the first period with the early advantage thanks to Luke Bodtker’s (1G, 1A) 19th of the season. Easton Armstrong (1G, 1A) would add to this lead part way through the second before Easton Mattersdorfer cut the deficit to one for NAX. Come the third, Edge would continue applying the pressure. Charlie Usher would net a shorthanded goal to initially extend Edge School’s lead while Brody Antignani (1G, 1A) added the back breaker later in the frame. Caden Stanley (20/21) picked up the win in net, making 20-saves for his eighth win of the campaign.
North Shore Warriors (5) vs Notre Dame (4) U17
In the tail end of a quiet first, captain Noah Russo would give North Shore the initial lead through twenty. In the second, the Warriors powerplay was clicking, scoring two goals early on to advance their lead and tighten their grip over Notre Dame. However, Cyril Herauf would get Notre Dame on the board with a powerplay marker of his own. Joshua Legette soon after would cut the Hounds’ deficit to one. A late goal from Rock Oosterveld (2G) would restore North Shore’s two goal lead. In the third, Laurenz Liebhart would once again extend the Warriors lead, but a late spurt from Notre Dame made this a one goal game as Ryder Pisiak and Broker Fox found twine. Notre Dame wouldn’t find the late tying goal as Kellen Ceraldi (21/25) stayed strong in the final minutes of play.ÌýÌý
BWC Academy (0) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (7) U18 Prep
NAX’s output doubled each period in their 7-0 victory over BWC Academy, scoring once in the first, twice in the second, and four times in the third. Ben Deacon (1G, 2A) and Jackson DeGraves (1G, 2A) each led the way, racking up three points apiece including the GWG from Deacon. In goal, Nate Stevens (21/21) steered aside all 21-BWC shots for his first shutout of the season and his fourth consecutive win as a starter.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (2/SO) vs Edge School (1) U18 Prep
Halfway through the first, Aiden Fisher was able to get RHA Kelowna on the board, giving them the lead through the first. In the second, Adam M’hamed would strike back for Edge, netting his 12th of the season to tie things up at one. This game would remain scoreless through the third and in overtime. Louis Gu (32/33) made one huge save in the dwindling seconds of OT to give RHA Kelowna a chance in the shootout. Eight rounds would be necessary in the shootout with the winner eventually coming off the stick of Maxson Reed.
St. Mary’s High School (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (4/OT) U17
Kegan Power got NAX out of the first period with the lead, scoring his 14th of the season. Kingston Stefura would double NAX’s lead in the second before St. Mary’s struck the scoresheet. However, in the latter half of the third, Ryan Ruffell and Aidan James would give St. Mary’s the late lead. With time dwindling down, Parker Aitken was able to bring things back to even with a late marker. In OT, Braeden Malenchak would net the winner for NAX, spoiling St. Mary’s from a second win on Saturday.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (4) vs North Shore Warriors (1) U15
Showing shades of his older brothers, Landon Ruck (2G) netted two goals with OHA on Saturday evening. Ruck’s two along with Reiya Tsuchikawa’s second period goal would bolster OHA’s lead to 4-0 by the halfway mark of the game. North Shore’s Nicholas Shieldon would net a shorthanded goal for the Warriors’ lone tally of the game. Ethan Watson (26/27) was in goal for the win, backing OHA to their eighth win of the season.Ìý
St. George’s School (3) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep
Charlie Weaver opened the scoring midway through the first period with his ninth goal of the season for St. George’s. CIHA would tie the game 40 seconds into the second when Townes Kozicky picked up a loose puck in front and beat Cash Christie (32/34) blocker side. CIHA would take the lead 1:27 into the third when defenseman Easton LaPlante scored glove side from a sharp angle. Midway through the third some St. George’s pressure would lead to a scramble in front where defenseman Thomas Rode (1G, 1A) fired the puck into the top of the net over a sprawling Cole Prelusky (31/34), evening the score. The back and forth contest looked like it was headed to overtime until Brenden Morgan scored the game winning goal for St. George’s with 1:06 remaining, giving them the 3-2 win in the last game of the night.
