Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (6) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) U17 Prep
RHA Winnipeg scored the game鈥檚 first goal when Isaac Sousa (2G) beat Matthew Palmer (34/37) 2:57 into the first. Luke Adam (2G) tied the game less than five minutes later, hitting double digit goals on the season. Peyton Thiessen and Jack Perrier (2G) traded goals 1:15 apart to close out the opening period. Willem Kirk-Bertens (1G, 1A) gave Pilot Mound their first lead midway through the game but it was quickly countered by Sousa鈥檚 30th of the year. The third belonged to Pilot Mound as Perrier and Adam each scored their second of the game and Collin Friedrich (1G, 2A) added his 20th of the season as they doubled-up RHA Winnipeg 6-3.听
Calgary International Hockey Academy (11) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep
Briggs Olson (3G) opened the scoring for Pilot Mound on the power play 3:12 into the game. Lincoln Martin (3G, 2A) countered 53 seconds later and Jack Coghlan (2G) put CIHA ahead 2:21 after that. Olson struck again to level the score just 14 seconds after Coghlan had given CIHA the lead. CIHA would regain that lead late in the period when Townes Kozicky (2G, 3A) found the back of the net on the power play. Defensemen Aden Bouchard (2G, 3A) doubled the lead 3:40 into the second, though Olson replied 1:12 later to complete the hat-trick, hit 20 goals on the season, and bring Pilot Mound within one. But it was all CIHA from there as they scored seven unanswered to take home the 11-3 win.听
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (7) Female U18 Prep
Backed by four power play markers SAHA defeated Pilot Mound 7-3. Two of those power play goals came in the first as Keyana Bert (2G, 1A) and Marley Howes (1G, 1A) scored 10:20 apart. Sadie Swanton replied for Pilot Mound 2:16 after the Bert goal, scoring an even strength marker. Bert added her second power play goal 4:42 into the second, though it was quickly countered by Traeh Hall鈥檚 first of the season. Emily Gerdevich scored the final SAHA power play goal 5:26 into the third before Taye Baker, Kamryn Reiber (1G, 1A) and Myla Motz added even strength goals to give their side a commanding 7-2 lead. McKayla Romano (1G, 1A) scored on a penalty shot with one second left to tally a late consolation goal for Pilot Mound.听
CIH Academy (3/SO) vs Kuper Academy (2) East U17
Tristan Lavigne (1G, 1A) scored the lone first period goal and Kareem Baig-Mirza (1G, 1A) doubled the Kuper Academy lead 6:01 into the second. Tobias Lednicky (1G, 1A) would get CIH Academy on the board just 12 seconds later with his ninth of the season. Trailing by one, Gordie Hester scored his first of the season to even the score just 1:17 into the third period. After overtime solved nothing, Saif Alexander-Pardhan scored in the fifth round of the shootout and Sebastien Bourgeau (56/58) stopped all five Kuper Academy shooters as CIH Academy took home a 3-2 shootout win.听
St. Mary鈥檚 Academy (2) vs Edge School (3/SO) Female U18 Prep
Edge School grabbed the lead 3:10 into the game as forward Olivia Imperato scored her eighth goal of the season. Payton Henwood tied the game 1:33 into the second with a power play marker, her 10th goal of the year. Edan Crowe restored the Edge lead late in the period. Jade Pelland brought the two teams level midway through the third as she found the back of the net for the third time this season. The two teams headed to a shootout where Imperato beat Sasha Coutu (30/32) and Alexis Ehrman (30/32) stopped all three St. Mary鈥檚 shooters to give Edge the 3-2 win.听
St. Mary鈥檚 Academy (4) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (1) Female U18 Prep
The road team took the lead just 1:39 in as Dayle Bettens (1G, 1A) scored her second goal of the season for St. Mary鈥檚. Joanna Braun doubled the lead with the lone second period goal, finding the back of the net with 1:47 left in the period. Brynn Evans would get NAX on the board 10:21 into the final period. A late St. Mary鈥檚 penalty gave NAX the opportunity to tie the game on the power play. They would pull Aldawna Evers (30/32) and go 6-on-4 but Camryn Falloon (2G) secured the St. Mary鈥檚 win by scoring back-to-back shorthanded empty netters. Keyauna Robinson-Prefontaine (30/31) made 30 saves in net for the win.听
Stanstead College (3) vs Bishop鈥檚 College School (4/SO) East U18
The first and second ranked teams met Wednesday with second place Bishop鈥檚 College coming out on top in a nail bitter. Alexi Gachelin scored with just one second left in the first to give Bishop鈥檚 the 1-0 lead. Logan Charby doubled the lead 6:15 into the second with his fifth of the season. Zackarie Michaud and affiliate player Emanuel Ganz scored exactly one minute apart midway through the period to even the score. Nate Ostridge quickly replied for Bishop鈥檚 49 seconds later with a power play marker, putting them ahead 3-2. Ryan Dwyer (1G, 1A) tied the game 4:02 later, wrapping up a back-and-forth second period. After a scoreless third period and overtime, Elie Champagne scored in the eighth round of the shootout to give Bishop鈥檚 a 4-3 lead in a game in which they never trailed. Felix-Antoine Emond (37/40) was credited with the win while Jacob Leblanc (24/27) was charged with the loss.听
Coeur d鈥橝lene Hockey Academy (1) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep
Ben Albers scored 2:49 in as CDA took an opening 1-0 lead. But it was Wenatchee who scored five straight to claim the win Wednesday. Gregor Ermellini (2G) scored back-to-back goals to close out the first period before a scoreless second period. Cameron Kimmerly (2G) scored 57 seconds into the third before finding the back of the net again midway through the period. Geon Park (1G, 1A) hit double digit goals late in the period to round out the scoring. Anthony Ganoung (27/28) and Bennett Byers (31/36) were in net for their respective teams.听
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) vs Edge School (8) Female U18 Prep
Samantha Baker (2G, 2A) and Brooklyn Deck (1G, 3A) each recorded four points to lead Edge School to an 8-2 win over Pilot Mound. Edan Crowe, Abby Lee, Avery Michaluk, Callie Paull and Cassia Severin scored the other Edge goals while Jenna Ring (15/17) made 15 saves in net for the win. Defenseman Heidi Danners and forward Jayden Quinn (1G, 1A) scored for Pilot Mound with Rehn Hall (45/53) faced 53 shots in the loss.听听
Prairie Hockey Academy (4) vs Notre Dame Hounds (1) U15
Noah Delaurier hit double digit goals on the season 6:16 into the first to give Prairie a 1-0 lead. Tristan Reimer (1G, 1A) added to the lead 2:09 into the second and Boston Engel (1G, 1A) tallied a late power play marker to extend the advantage heading into the third. Dominik Chartrand got Notre Dame on the board 5:32 into the third with a power play goal. Notre Dame would continue to apply pressure, outshooting Prairie 14-5. But Patrick Curtis (45/46) shut the door the rest of the way and James Lanoie clinched the win with 10 seconds remaining with an empty netter.听
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) vs OHA Edmonton (9) Female U18 Prep
Ryann Chimera (2G, 3A) and Riley Cooper (3G, 2A) each had five points to pace OHA Edmonton to a 9-2 win Thursday. Joryn Hempel (1G, 3A) chipped in with four points while Ava Antle (27/29) made 27 saves to hit double digit wins on the season. Tessa Heggart and Ashlyn Kuffler scored for Pilot Mound in the loss. Sutter Reeves (48/57) faced 57 shots in net.
Edge School (8) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (2) U15
First place Edge scored the first eight goals of the game en route to an 8-2 road win. Defenseman Zachary Pomeroy (4A) and forward Charlie Usher (2G, 2A) led the way offensively with four points each. Brody Antignani (1G, 2A), Luke Bodtker (2A) and Cade Mazurski (1G, 2A) each added two assists in the win. Beck Van Kemenade (2G) beat Caden Stanley (18/20) twice in the final eighth minutes to give RHA Winnipeg some late consolation goals. Blake Mitchell (42/50) faced 50 shots in net for the home side.听
St. Mary鈥檚 Academy (2) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) Female U18 Prep
NAX came out firing on all cylinders as Sawyer Mackay (1G, 1A) opened the scoring 10:09 in and Brynn Evans (2G, 2A) scored twice in a span of 27 seconds just two minutes later. Camryn Falloon would cut into the lead 9:34 into the second by hitting double digit goals on the season. Reese Kartusch made it a one goal game 5:11 into the final period with her sixth of the season. But Sophie Quaschnick (26/28) made 26 saves and Elise Slywka (1G, 3A) added a late empty netter to secure the 4-2 NAX victory.
