Edge School (4) vs OHA Edmonton (7) U15
Joel Ngandu (3G, 2A) played a huge role in securing OHA Edmonton the upset over the second seeded Edge School on Saturday. Ngandu picked up OHA Edmonton鈥檚 first two tallies of the match, allowing them to exit the first period up by a margin of 2-1. However, Edge didn鈥檛 let up that easily, as they struck for two unanswered goals early in the second to put themselves in the driver鈥檚 seat. Just under six-minutes after Ellis Martschuk鈥檚 (1G, 1A) goal to put Edge ahead, Cohenn Rotor (1G, 1A) tied things up on the powerplay. This game tying goal put some gas in the tank for OHA Edmonton鈥檚 offence as they lit the lamp two more times before the second came to a close. Edge managed to get one more past Taylor Green (43/47) in the third, but his miraculous play in net was another factor in this upset win over Edge. Hunter Jacobs and Ngandu would add another two late in the third to seal up the win in Edmonton. The two teams will play again on Sunday with Edge playing as hosts this time around.
OHA Edmonton (3) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (4/OT) U17 Prep
A pair of goals from OHA Edmonton鈥檚 Callum Maclean (2G) kept the heart of the academy alive and beating through the first forty minutes, keeping their deficit to a single goal after they had surrendered one to Seattle Thunderbirds prospect, Brendan Rudolph (2G), partway through the frame. In the third period, call-up forward Keenan Fox struck for OHA Edmonton, scoring far-side on CIHA goaltender Erich Baxter (20/23). Fox鈥檚 goal would get his academy a point, forcing overtime, but the breakneck speed of Rudolph proved fatal for OHA Edmonton鈥檚 defence as he greased his way through the middle of the rink before roofing one over Kade Lewis (31/35) for his fourth GWG of the season.
BWC Academy (1) vs Yale Hockey Academy (6) U18 Prep
Lucas Biros put Yale on the board first and they just ran with it, expanding their lead to 3-0 after two periods. Ashton Beriana would put BWC Academy on the scoresheet early in the final frame, but it wasn鈥檛 enough to spark a comeback as Yale struck for another three tallies before the game clock expired. Calgary, AB native, Adam M鈥橦amed (1G, 2A) led the pack with a three-point effort while Nathan Kam (26/27) put up a valued effort in goal to put his academy back in the win column.

After trading goals in the first period, RHA Kelowna Red took off with a two goal lead early in the second after Rhett Tubello (1G, 1A) and Maddox Bentley (1G, 2A) scored just over three minutes apart. Robert Orr (1G, 1A) would trim that lead down to one with lots of time remaining in the contest for NSW Orange to make a comeback. However, the third period just featured more offence from Kelowna, adding another three to their total before skating away with the victory. Kai Ebert (27/30) was in goal for Kelowna and snatched his first win of the calendar year.
BWC Academy Gold (5) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (0) U17 Prep

Calgary International Hockey Academy (6) vs Notre Dame (2) U18 Prep
CIHA managed to muster 52-shots on goal in this contest. Ben Chornomydz (46/52) played his best and turned aside as much as he could, but CIHA鈥檚 offence was just too potent. It started with call-up forwards Kaden Hayes and Lincoln Martin (2G) putting the first three goals on the board for CIHA. Bowman Klippenstein would put a wrench in CIHA鈥檚 momentum, scoring halfway through the second, but it was shortly after that where Martin put away his second of the afternoon. Ayden Pimm made it 3-2 with his 12th of the year in the third but CIHA鈥檚 offence would pick up the pace after that tally. Oliver Kramp (2G) picked up his first two goals in U18 Prep competition to put this matchup to rest. Victoria Royals prospect, Cole Prelusky (21/23), also picked his first win in U18 Prep.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (2) Female U18 Prep
Despite being outshot 28-17, NAX was able to squeeze out a victory thanks to the strong goaltending of Ava Antle (26/28). Antle remained steady through two, stopping all 13-shots she faced, then turned away 13/15 in a busy third period. However, Antle鈥檚 performance wouldn鈥檛 have gotten the spotlight if it weren鈥檛 for NAX鈥檚 offensive explosion in the second. Kendra Shumaker (1G, 1A) and Brayden Stewart (1G, 1A) got the offence started with their first two tallies before Larae Benoit sealed the period up with a shorthanded goal to put her academy up 3-0. That SH goal would ultimately go on to be this game鈥檚 difference maker, putting NAX back in the win column after dropping their last three matches.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (2) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep
Lucas Bertolin may have got RHA Winnipeg on the board only 1:57 into the matchup, but Quispamsis, NB鈥檚 Avery Johnson (2G, 2A) flipped the momentum into PHA鈥檚 favour after potting two goals late in the frame. Vytas Lenkutis (2G) nabbed both goals for King Heights, increasing his season output to over a PPG in U18 competition.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (7) vs North Shore Warriors (3) U18 Prep
In a fiery clash between two of BC鈥檚 most offensively potent academies, PCHA would come out on top. Jase Johnstone recorded the lone goal in the first for PCHA, however this would ultimately be the spark that set off an explosion of offence in the second. PCHA blew up for five goals in the middle frame with a pair coming from Sooke, BC鈥檚 Grady Sluggett (2G). NSW would add two in the third, but it was far too late to push for a comeback. Koen Cleaver (37/40) picked up the win between the pipes while Erik Powers (43/50) put in a valiant effort against the fierce Sea Devils.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (6) U15 Prep
After being all knotted up a 2-2 early in the second, RHA Kelowna would catch the game鈥檚 first break, picking up three unanswered goals before the second period came to a close. This included two quick goals in the final minute of play coming off the sticks of Hudson Podollan (1G, 2A) and Dominik Silbernagel (2G, 1A). Everything seemed routine for RHA Kelowna as the clock ticked down in the third, but OHA was building up a potential comeback, chaining three goals back-to-back-to-back in the final seven-minutes of play. Eli Tverdovsky (1G, 1A) brought OHA to within one with 20-seconds left, but this was as close OHA would come to forcing overtime. RHA Kelowna avoids the scare and picks up their fifth straight win in league competition.
BWC Academy White (0) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (7) U17 Prep

Another four skaters also picked up multi-point efforts in the victory, all having a hand in handing BWC Academy White only their fifth loss in regulation this season.
Delta Hockey Academy Green (1) vs St. George’s School (2/SO) U17 Prep
In this tightly knit affair, goaltending was the major factor. St. George鈥檚 finally broke through for the game鈥檚 opening goal in the second from Noah Chen. After two periods, St. George鈥檚 goaltender, Imaree Dhaliwal (62/63), had made an immaculate 37-saves. His hot-streak would continue in the third, but the Wenatchee Wild鈥檚 recently signed forward, Nathaniel Danielson, slipped one past Dhaliwal to make it a 1-1 game and force overtime. A shootout was eventually needed and after things were tied through three rounds, Dhaliwal would stone Max Malinousky in close. Sam Auld was up next and slid one five-hole past Greyson Moroz (36/37) to end this goaltending clinic. Dhaliwal ended the night stopping 3/4 shots in the shootout and making an astounding 62-saves through 65-minutes of play.
OHA Edmonton Black (1) vs Prairie Hockey Academy Blue (2) U17 Prep
No even strength goals found their way past either Aidan Prosser (28/30) or Riley Brown (43/44) in this Saturday matchup. Cohen Friesen (2G) put PHA Blue on the board first off of a feed from Nixon Friesen down low. Fast forward to the second and OHA Edmonton Black鈥檚 Brody Nest scored on a jam play in front to tie things at one-a-piece. It wasn鈥檛 until past the halfway point in the third before we saw another goal where none other than Cohen Frisen put the game away, once again on the powerplay. Brown would get the best of Prosser, making 43-saves in the tightly knit contest.
Coeur d鈥橝lene Hockey Academy (5) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep
Verners Veinbergs opened the scoring for Coeur d’Alene 4:16 into the first, but he was quickly matched by Ethan Hamilton scoring his 10th goal of the 2023/24 campaign.
