Delta Hockey Academy (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (3) U15
After a scoreless first Jaxen McFegan opened the scoring 5:01 into the second. Easton Coupland tied the game just 24 seconds later before Kessler Hauser (1G, 1A) restored the Yale lead 1:14 later. Yianni Sergiannidis tied the game minutes later with a shorthanded tally. Elias Papadatos (1G, 1A) scored the eventual game winning goal late in the second period and Mason Sutherland (29/31) finished with 29 saves, including 10 in the third as Yale grabbed a 3-2 win and a spot in the quarter finals.听
St. George鈥檚 School (3) vs STAR Hockey Academy (4/OT) U15听
After a scoreless first, STAR exploded for three unanswered to kick off the second. George Gapeshin (2G) was the beneficiary on two of those goals while Sean McIntyre picked up the other. Shortly after STAR鈥檚 third tally, Tarik Lammam (2G) would go between-the-legs to put St. George鈥檚 on the scoresheet. Alexander Rode would then add a second for St. George鈥檚 with time dwindling in the frame. The third period opted to be more quiet, however Lammam was able to get one more past Erik Sims (43/46) to force an overtime. In OT, STAR maintained possession for a quality amount of time, eventually leading to Nathan Langhelm potting home the winner after being left alone in front of goal, clinching STAR鈥檚 first postseason win as a member of the CSSHL.
RHA Kelowna (4) vs OHA Edmonton (2) U15听
Kaedyn Scherer and Cohenn Rotar (1G, 1A) each found the back of the net as OHA Edmonton raced out to a 2-0 lead 7:37 into the hockey game. Cole Hamakawa got RHA Kelowna on the board 10 minutes later and Kaius Millan (1G, 1A) scored the lone second period goal 1:48 into the middle frame. Kyler Stocks (1G, 1A) gave RHA Kelowna their first lead of the game 2:16 into the third and Aiden Andrews added a late empty netter as RHA Kelowna erased a 2-0 deficit to claim a 4-2 win. Dylan Mingo (34/36) made 34 saves for the win.听
Notre Dame (4) vs Coeur d鈥橝lene Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep Consolation听
After a scoreless opening period Bowman Klippstein (1G, 1A) scored on the power play for Notre Dame. Holden Smith and Jacob Caron scored 4:01 apart midway through the frame to give CDA their lone lead of the game. Liam Schaentzler (1G, 1A) tied the game on the power play with 1:04 left in the period. Ayden Pimm (1G, 2A) and Adiyat Massen scored less than two minutes apart as Notre Dame grabbed a 4-2 lead. James Ghebbari gave CDA late life with a shorthanded marker but his team was unable to beat Ben Chornomydz again for an equaliser.听
BWC Academy (3) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) U15
After BWC Academy got off to a two goal lead after twenty, OHA would respond with a two goal period of their own in the second, resetting the score for the third. Five minutes into the final frame, Nathan Marques (3G) nabbed his second of the afternoon to give OHA their first lead of the match. BWC Academy鈥檚 Nathan Da Silva (1G, 1A) responded shortly after to keep things a tie game, but OHA鈥檚 persistence on the puck led to them taking back the lead just under two minutes later thanks to Ben Campbell (2G). Marques would polish off his hat-trick later in the third with the insurance marker, clinching OHA their second win of the postseason.
St. George鈥檚 School (2) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep
Louie Sim (1G, 1A) scored his first of the Championships as St. George鈥檚 held an early 1-0 lead. Jase Johnstone and Brendon Hall quickly replied for PCHA to put them ahead going into the second. Parker MacDougall scored the eventual game winning goal 1:16 into the second period. Reece Liu and St. George鈥檚 made a late push, finding the back of the net with 55 seconds left in the game. But Koen Cleaver (34/36) shut the door the rest of the way to secure a 3-2 Pacific Coast win. Austin Ball (42/45) faced 45 shots in the loss.听
Shawnigan Lake School (2) vs Edge School (9) U18 Prep
Landon DuPont (1G, 5A) led the way with six points and Ben MacBeath (1G, 3A) and Owen Mastroianni (2G, 2A) each chipped in with four points as Edge defeated Shawnigan 9-2. Shawnigan actually led 45 seconds in as Brendyn Van Oene found the back of the net early. Zach Olson and Cruz Pavao (1G, 1A) scored power play goals on the same penalty before Matthew Jackson tied the game with a power play goal of his own. Leim Smith (1G, 1A) would restore the Edge lead before they exploded for four second and two third period goals.听
Wenatchee Wild Academy (5) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (6) U18 Prep Consolation听
After a scoreless first Jaden Mah scored 57 seconds into the second and Zane Price added another power play goal 47 seconds later. Connor Ellingsen and Matteo Andrew (1G, 1A) traded goals as PMHA led 3-1. But Wenatchee grabbed a 4-3 lead as Cameron Kimmerly found the back of the net and Kaiden Jackson (2G, 1A) scored twice. Kalix Monkman tied the game with five seconds left in the second. Sanjay Chalupiak (1G, 1A) restored the Pilot Mound lead 5:17 into the third and Austin Polonoski (1G, 2A) doubled the lead midway through the period. Fischer Nicolet scored with two seconds left to bring Wenatchee within one but at that point it was nothing more than a consolation goal.听
Notre Dame (3) vs Edge School (8) U15
Goals from Nolen Miller (1G, 1A) and Owen Wiemer put Edge ahead 2-0 heading into the second period. Joey Jackson (2G) scored shorthanded to get Notre Dame on the board 5:27 into the second. Damien Lavallee (3G) restored the two goal lead midway through the period with a power play marker. Jackson opened the third period scoring before Lavallee and Jacob Bate traded goals to keep it a one goal game. But Edge would score four unanswered in a span of just over five minutes as Ellis Martschuk, Lavallee, Remy Koch and Easton Perzylo (1G, 2A) found the back of the net in an 8-3 win.听
Prairie Hockey Academy (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (8) U18 Prep
Jaxon Haley scored against his former team 1:24 into the game as Prairie grabbed a 1-0 lead. However, NAX would answer back with eight unanswered to grab an 8-1 win. Affiliate player Riley (2G) Thorpe tied the game 6:59 in and defenseman Brek Liske (2G) scored the eventual game winning goal with 1:53 left in the first. Riley Boychuk (1G, 3A) scored shorthanded, Daxon Rudolph scored on the power play, and Thorpe and Jordan Duguay (1G, 1A) each found the back of the net as NAX led 6-1 midway through the second. Liske and Luke Davies added third period goals to round out the scoring. Jordan Switzer (25/26) made 25 saves and recorded an assist in the win.听
South Alberta Hockey Academy (2) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (8) U18 Prep
Ethan Hamilton scored 3:42 in and Liam Ruck (1G, 3A) added his second of the Championships 35 seconds later. Hudson Gainer got SAHA on the board with 4:07 left in the first but Wyatt Danyleyko (2G) and David Hoy each found the back of the net for OHA late in the first. Danyleyko, Markus Ruck (1G, 2A) and Mathis Preston (2G, 3A) added second period goals to increase the lead to 7-2. Landon Marleau and Mathis Preston traded goals to close out the period. Ryan Tamelin (30/32) made 30 saves in the win.听
Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy (7) U18 Prep
Hudson Binder and Grayson Salmon traded early goals as the first ended tied 1-1. Dane Pyatt (2G, 1A) gave Delta their first lead with a power play goal before Carter Singleton scored on the power play to again tie the game. Caden Cail put Delta back on top, Bennett Muller (2G) scored twice and Pyatt added a shorthanded goal as Delta took control of the game in the back half of the second. Damian Kravcak and Karter Radtke traded goals 10 minutes apart in the third to round out the scoring.听
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (17) U15
Defenseman Hudson Sayers (1G, 5A) led all skaters with six points and Easton Arndt recorded a hat-trick as NAX beat PCHA 17-1. Teagen Bouchard (2G, 1A), Kyle Denis (2G, 2A), Ahmad Fayad (2G, 2A), Kalen Miles (2G, 3A) and Bronsyn Mouille (2G, 3A) all scored twice in the win. Brysten Campbell scored the lone PCHA goal.听
RHA Kelowna (3/SO) vs Yale Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep
A power play goal from Joe Iginla (1G, 1A) 12:40 into the first gave RHA Kelowna a 1-0 lead heading into the second. Kelsen Podworny (1G, 1A) added another RHA Kelowna power play goal 12:41 into the second. Grant Reid got Yale on the board with eight seconds left in the period. Tommy Lafreniere tied the game 2:16 into the third, forcing overtime, and eventually, a shootout. Iginla and Podworny both scored in the shootout and Steele Bass stopped two of the three Yale shooters to secure the win.听
RHA Winnipeg (3) vs OHA Edmonton (5) U18 Prep
Reece Gault (1G, 1A) and Cooper Labelle scored 1:03 apart as RHA Winnipeg grabbed an early 2-0 lead. Kaden Wilkins (2G) scored late in the first to get OHA Edmonton on the board and within one. Wilkins would tie the game early in the second before a Lucas Bertolin power play goal gave RHA Winnipeg the lead heading into the final 20. Kayden Lemire tied the game on the power play and Max Stanton scored the game winning goal with 6:49 left to play. Renat Nagneev (1G, 1A) added a late empty netter and Kohen McEllistrum (30/33) finished with 30 saves as the OHA Edmonton win put both teams’ records at 1-1.听
BWC Academy (2) vs North Shore Warriors (4) U18 Prep
In a must win game for both teams the score remained 0-0 until Ryan Harris found the back of the net 15:49 into the second. Deacon Drummond tied the game with a shorthanded goal with seven seconds left in the period. Matteo Paradiso (1G, 1A) and Rayne Jameson scored less than two minutes apart as North Shore pulled ahead 3-1. William Shepard gave BWC Academy life, scoring with 1:54 left to play. But a Liam Payne empty net goal with 36 seconds left secured the North Shore win and eliminated BWC Academy from playoff contention.听
