Mount Academy U18 Prep (5) vs CIH Academy U18 (2) Eastern U18 Semi-Final
CIH Academy opened the scoring on the powerplay, as Nikita Schneider lit the lamp, however, three straight goals in response from Mount Academy proved to be the difference. Brandon Gauthier scored on the powerplay to tie the game, assisted on Landon Tretheway’s fourth tally of the postseason and then notched his second of the game that held up as the game-winner. Adam Lecours stopped 22 of 24 shots to pick up the win between the pipes.
Mount Academy U18 Varsity (2) vs Bourget College U18 (4) Eastern U18 Semi-Final
Mount Academy had a two-goal lead after the first period, with goals from Anthony Campbell and David Lebel, but they couldn’t hold it. Bourget College scored four unanswered goals in the final two periods. Marc-Antoine Riopel, Gavin McLenaghan (PP), Santiago Gosselin and Samuel Frechette lit the lamp for Bourget College in the win.
Mount Academy U16 (1) vs Mount Academy U17 (7)Ìý
Esteben Labelle scored a hat-trick for Mount Academy U17, Justin Hughes had a pair of goals while Noah Cziment added four assists in the win. Vincenzo Di Rocco and Ethan Anderson added solo tallies, while Oliver Kiraly turned aside 14 shots to pick up the win between the pipes.Ìý
Okanagan Hockey Academy (4/SO) vs RHA Kelowna (3) U16 Prep Semi-Final
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna had a two-goal lead after the first period, with goals from Luke Silvernagle, Owen Downey and Luca Cupello (1g,1a). However, Okanagan Hockey Academy scored all three of their goals via special teams. Ruben Stone and Bradley Schmidt both converted on the powerplay and Tucker Robertson tied the game with a shorthanded marker in the final five minutes of the third period. Extra time was required and in the shootout, Stone would notch the deciding goal to win it for OHAE.
Notre Dame (1) vs RHA Winnipeg (4) U16 Prep Semi-Final
Lincoln Ponce picked up three assists for RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg, while Ayden Collins, Kaleb Dewar, Wyatt Stinton and Reece Gault all found the back of the net. The lone goal for Notre Dame was scored by Ben Bugeaud, as RHAK netminder Brant Catellier turned aside 24 of 25 shots he faced for the win.Ìý
CIH Academy U17 (0) vs Ontario Hockey Academy U17 Maroon (8) U17 Eastern Championships
Needing to win by at least five goals to advance to tomorrow’s final, OHA would end up with an 8-0 win, knocking CIH out of the playoffs. Cole Shepherdson (1G, 3A) and William Gosselin (2G, 1A) led the OHA offensive outburst while George Foti (32/32) was perfect in net to earn the shutout. Alexi Gregoire (2A) chipped in with two assists.Ìý
Delta Hockey Academy (1) vs RHA Kelowna (5) U18 Prep Western Championships Semi-Final
Daniel Zhou gave Delta an early lead but RHA Kelowna would respond with five unanswered as Bronson Ross, Cameron Schmidt, Jace Harder, and Reegan Kominko (2G) all found the back of the net.Ìý
Edge School (6/OT) vs Yale Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep Western Championships Semi-Final
An intense semi-final action from two of the best teams in the regular season saw Edge School win 6-5 in OT. Carter Klippenstein would score the lone first period goal and Edge would grab an early second period lead thanks to Miles Cooper (1G, 2A). Evan Smith would bring Yale within one before Keets Fawcett gave Edge the two goal lead. But the second would end tied 3-3 thanks to goals from Will Sharpe and Chase Valliant (1G, 1A) for Yale. Luke Cozens would give Yale their first lead early in the third and Ben Kindel (1G, 1A) would extend the advantage with seven minutes left. But Fraser Leondard (2G, 2A) would get one back for Edge and Jackson Smith would tie the game with 42 seconds left to force OT. Leonard would score the eventual game winner 39 seconds into extra time to give Edge the 6-5 win and a spot in the finals.Ìý
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (7) vs North Shore Warriors (4) U18 Prep Consolation
Remi Lapalme (1G, 5A) led all skaters with five points while teammates Ripley Garden (1G, 2A), Whittaker Heart (2G, 1A) and Lance Insko (1G, 2A) added three point nights. Ben Delisi (32/36) made 32 saves for CDA in the win. Adam Valach (2G) scored twice for North Shore in the loss.Ìý
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) vs Notre Dame (6) U18 Prep Consolation
Notre Dame continues their tear through the consolation bracket with a 6-2 victory over Pilot Mound. Finn Carlstedt (2G, 1A) paved the way for Notre Dame’s third-straight win while Russell Newman (19/21) held down the fort. Casey Castleberry (52/58) posted a solid performance between the pipes for Pilot Mound, making 52 saves in the loss while Isaiah Felix and Sandy Tattuinee provided the offence.
