Notre Dame (2) vs Prairie Hockey Academy White (6) U17 Prep
Prairie White improved to 7-2-1-1 with a 6-2 win over Notre Dame Saturday morning. Ryland Molde (3A), Kale Pratte (1G, 2A), and Carter Wingert (3A) led the PHA White offence with three points each while Hudson Thiessen (2G) chipped in with two goals. Cameron Beisal (34/36) made 34 saves, surrendering goals to Ryder Gilroy and Ryan Kowalsky.听
Notre Dame (1) vs Edge School (12) U15
Jacob Kuntz (3G) and Ellis Martschuk (3G) each recorded hat-tricks, Alex Han (3A) and Owen Wiemer (3A) each added three assists, and Delano Pockar (23/24) made 23 saves as Edge defeated Notre Dame 12-1. Pearson Sokoloski scored the lone goal for Notre Dame in the loss.听
BWC Academy (10) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (2) U15 Prep
Ryan Fox (2G), Jayden Simpson (2G, 3A) and Richard Wonyeneh (2G, 1A) each scored twice as BWC Academy beat Delta Black 10-2. KJ Merriman and Christian Sum scored for Delta Black in the loss.听
Edge School (3/SO) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (2) Female Prep
Kara Mitenko opened the scoring late in the first before Megan Dolynchuk countered for NAX less than two minutes later. Hannah Deck scored on a seeing-eye shot from the point as Edge took a 2-1 lead heading into the third. Reanna Loberg would bury a rebound with 4:21 remaining to tie the game and force OT. After overtime solved nothing, Alexis Ehrman (21/23) stopped three of four NAX shooters and Olivia Imperato scored in the fourth round to give Edge the 3-2 victory.听
Coeur d鈥橝lene Hockey Academy (1) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (7) U17 Prep
Brayden Barker (2G, 1A) and Dylan Johnson (1G, 2A) had three point afternoons to carry Wenatchee to a 7-1 win over CDA. Anthony Ganoung (30/31) made 30 saves in net for the win. Preston Peterson scored the lone CDA goal with Austin Neill (33/40) making 33 saves in the loss.听
Okanagan Hockey Academy (1) vs Yale Hockey Academy (4) U15
Matteo Zenone scored the opening goal 7:03 into the first. Caiden Osiowy-Mah tied the game 6:11 into the second before Kessler Hauser (2G) scored the go-ahead goal midway through the second. Tony Cabelka (1G, 1A) and Hauser would add third period markers. Mason Sutherland (33/34) made 33 saves in net for the win.听
Calgary International Hockey Academy (9) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme Blue (2) U17 Prep
Brendan Rudolph (2G) scored 2:05 in to give CIHA an early lead. Parker Fitzgerald tied the game minutes later but Ethan Mulvale would respond 38 seconds later, starting a string of 7 straight CIHA goals. Liam Eisnor and Lincoln Martin (1G, 2A) traded third period tallies. Easton LaPlante (3A) and Mason Moran (1G, 2A) each had three points in the win.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (3) vs Notre Dame (1) U18 Prep
Josh Evaschesen (1G, 1A) got things started just 20-seconds in for SAHA after firing one home from the slot off of a sweet dish from Drew Williamson (2A). Kolby Gapter would lay up another for SAHA to extend their lead before Sokratis Markarian cut it in half with two-minutes left in the frame. However, Medicine Hat Tigers prospect Brayden Ryan-Mackay would pot an insurance marker in the third to re-establish SAHA鈥檚 two-goal lead and secure them the victory.
BWC Academy Gold (4) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (5/OT) U17 Prep
OHA would find an early two-goal advantage in the first period after Caleb Bedard and Bradley Schmidt both scored from the top of the right circle. However, BWC Academy Gold would put OHA in a vice grip for a majority of the second, registering 19-shots and scoring three unanswered, including two goals in 11-seconds from Kai Anderson and Christian Revel respectively. Kadyn O鈥橞rien (1G, 2A) would deflect one late for OHA, something that would foreshadow what was to come later. Colton Gerrior (1G, 1A) would score one more for BWC Academy Gold for the late lead. However, with the net empty, Lethbridge Hurricanes prospect Will Scott (1G, 1A) would rifle one home with 5-seconds left on the clock to force an overtime. In the extra frame, Scott鈥檚 teammate and fellow Hurricanes prospect, Gavin Lesiuk (1G, 1A) would take it end-to-end to give OHA the W in this thrilling featured matchup.
Ontario Hockey Academy Prep (7) vs Okanagan Hockey Ontario (4) U18 Eastern U18
Oliver Nilsgaard (1G, 1A) and Justin Gregoire (1G, 1A) would score 32-seconds apart to put OHA Prep in the driver鈥檚 seat early. OHO would claw one back but Adam Racine (2G) would score his first of two on the afternoon to keep OHA Prep鈥檚 two goal lead alive. Both teams would trade goals for the rest of the game until Racine buried the hatchet late in the third to insure OHA Prep鈥檚 victory.听
Okanagan Hockey Academy (7) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep
Wenatchee would crack the scoreboard first with a breakaway snipe from Seth Banner. However, in his first game back from suspension, Mathis Preston (1G, 1A) would wire a shot from the top of the circles to put OHA back on track. David Hoy (1G, 1A) and Kayden Clarke (2G, 1A) would respond with two more for OHA before Sheldon Wilson got one back for Wenatchee. From here on out, the Ruck twins would make their impact on the game, Liam (2G, 1A) would find the back of the net twice while Markus (2A) provided two primary helpers en route to a 7-2 win.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (4) vs OHA Edmonton (5/SO) U17 Prep
After being down 4-2 with only 3:49 left on the clock, SAHA would make a miraculous surge to force overtime with goals from Wyatt Brooks and Jack Elliot (2G, 1A). A shootout would be necessary following overtime where it would take five-rounds to find the game鈥檚 hero. That hero would be Cale Chimera of OHA Edmonton, saving his team from what would鈥檝e been a late upset.
Delta Hockey Academy Green (1) vs Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna Black (2/SO) U17 Prep
Delta Green opened the game鈥檚 scoring early in the second with a goal from Dalton Toma. RHA Kelowna Black would push hard in the final twenty, finally breaking through Greyson Moroz (39/40) with just 45-seconds to spare thanks to Brady Walker. Overtime wouldn鈥檛 be enough and a lengthy shootout would ensue. Moroz would stop RHA Kelowna鈥檚 first seven shooters, but Louis Gu (37/38) managed to stop all eight of Delta Green鈥檚 shootout attempts. Riley Pedersen would score the shootout winner for RHA Kelowna Black and Gu would stop Suhaan Nagra dead in his tracks to complete the late comeback.
Northern Alberta Xtreme White (5) vs Prairie Hockey Academy Blue (4) U17 Prep
NAX White and PHA Blue would score back-and-forth for the first forty minutes of play, with PHA Blue gaining the edge after Diezyl Herh (2G) scored his second of the match with two-minutes to spare. However, Gavin Faul (3G) would continue his strong weekend with two goals in the latter half of the third, not only to win the game, but to complete his hat-trick. Faul is now tied for third in goals in the U17 Prep division.听
Bourget College U18 (1) vs CIH Academy Green (3) U18 Eastern U18
In a late Eastern division showdown, Bourget College would have the early jump, scoring 5:07 in, thanks to the stick of Antoine Lellouche. However, that would be the lone tally for Bourget College as CIH Academy Green would storm back with three unanswered. Nikita Schneider (1G, 1A) would score the game winner shorthanded just 43-seconds into the second period.
Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna Red (1) vs BWC Academy White (4) U17 Prep
BWC Academy White would get to work in the first period, tallying two goals from Mark Lee and Nic Collins for the early 2-0 advantage. Czech forward Jan Lu膷an would score his second of the season halfway through the second to further extend BWC Academy White鈥檚 lead. Nate Macphee would run one back for RHA Kelowna Red but it was too little too late.
