Notre Dame (2) vs OHA Edmonton (4) U18 Prep
After a scoreless first, Clarke Schaefer (1G, 1A) and Dylan Konschuh (1G, 1A) scored for OHA Edmonton in the second. Hunter Yee extended the lead in the third but Notre Dame wouldn鈥檛 go away quietly as Lucas Hillier-Huot and Adiyat Massen (1G, 1A) cut the lead to one. The comeback would ultimately come up short as Radislav Dimitrov (1G, 1A) would score with two seconds remaining and Corbin Sanderman (30/32) made 30 saves.听
Delta Hockey Academy Black (5) vs North Shore Warriors (1) Female U18 Prep
Gracie Bagnall-Dubras opened the scoring with 4:32 left in the second after Alix Walchuk (26/27) and Hyoseo Cheon (19/24) kept the game scoreless for 35 minutes. What seemed like a low scoring game quickly erupted in the third as Emma Biros and Mikayla Williams traded goals before Eden Hamel (3G, 1A) recorded a natural hat-trick in a span of 6:46.听
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (2/OT) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (1) Female U18 Prep
Inhye Jang (31/32) stole the show stopping 31 shots in a 2-1 OT victory over NAX. RHA Winnipeg put up just 12 shots but that was all they needed as Shea Warnick (1G, 1A) tied the game with 34 seconds remaining and Cassidy Bodnaryk found the back of the net 1:51 into OT. Reanna Loberg scored 3:58 into the game as NAX held the lead for 55:28.听
Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) vs Edge School (4) U15
Luke Huska (1G, 1A) and Charlie Tobin (1G, 1A) scored for Edge while Will Kelts (2G, 1A) responded for NAX as the first ended 2-1. Edge would lead 4-3 heading into the third as Damien Lavallee and Dylan Sherban (1G, 2A) scored for Edge and Luka Samu and Kelts responded for NAX. Kyle Denis would tie the game late in the third and Easton Arndt would keep NAX undefeated on the season, scoring his 18th goal of the year with just 6 seconds left.听
St. Mary’s Academy (5) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (6/OT) Female U18 Prep
Mia Faseruk (3G, 1A) opened the scoring for SMA while Riley Gramlich (1G, 1A) and Keyana Bert (2G, 3A) countered for SAHA. Jade Pelland would tie the game with 12 seconds remaining in the first. Kamryn Reiber (2G, 1A) scored twice in a span of 36 seconds as SAHA took an early second period lead. Faseruk would bring St. Mary鈥檚 within one heading into the third. Keira Grant (1G, 2A) extended the SAHA Advantage but Faseruk would complete the hat-trick and Camryn Falloon (1G, 2A) tied the game with 7:10 remaining. In overtime, Bert found the back of the net just 1:02 in as SAHA skated to a 6-5 win.听
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (12) U18 Prep
SAHA outshot PMHA 86-24 en route to a 12-1 win Saturday. Trip Jensen (5A) led all skaters with five points, defensemen Hudson Gainer (2G, 2A) and Nate Yellowaga (1G, 3A) each had four points, and Carter Cunningham (3G) recorded a hat-trick. Kalix Monkman scored the lone PMHA goal.听
Ontario Hockey Academy Gold (1) vs Ulysse Academie (2) Eastern U18
Marco Campo (1G, 1A) and Maverick Roux-Parenteau scored for Ulysse as they defeated OHA Gold 2-1. Louie White scored the lone OHA Gold goal in the loss.听
Prairie Hockey Academy White (5) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep
Carter Wingert (1G, 1A) and Hunter Toth each found the back of the net within the first six minutes as PHA White grabbed an early lead. Jaxon Nichol and Kale Pratte (1G, 1A) would score 1:22 apart as PHA White began to pile on. Zane Price (2G) would get PMHA on the board late in the second and score another early in the third to close the gap. Reid Fraser scored his first of the season to put the game out of reach. Dylan Line added a late consolation goal.听
Yale Hockey Academy (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (1) U15 Prep
Jacob Dumansky (2G) and Ollie Reid (1G, 1A) scored first period goals as Yale led 2-0 after 20. Tate Serfas would get RHA Kelowna on the board in the second with his first goal of the season. Dumansky would add an empty netter with 11 seconds left and Cristiano Pelegrin-Hicks (26/27) finished with 26 saves to secure a Yale 3-1 win. Braxton Gibson (23/25) made 23 saves in the loss.听
OHA Edmonton (0) vs Notre Dame (4) U15
Louis Barbes (29/29) made 29 saves to record his first shutout and win of the 2023/24 campaign. Matthew Boekelder (1G, 1A) struck in the first, Jacob Bate (1G, 1A) in the second, and Etienne Gagne-Dalaunay and Jory Balas (1G, 1A) in the third. Adrian Ferro (21/25) made 21 saves in net for OHA Edmonton.听
Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg (7) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (2) U17 Prep
Max Dowse (2G, 2A) and Wyatt Kelman (2G, 1A) scored twice, Casey Magarrell (1G, 3A) added four points, and Peyton Shore (25/27) made 25 saves as RHA Winnipeg defeated ISA 7-2. Dontae Bear (1G, 1A) and Kallum Windigo (1G, 1A) scored for ISA in the loss.听
Shawnigan Lake School (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy Green (4) Female U18 Prep
Maisie Cope (28/29) and Aidyn Carkner (21/25) would play 32:48 of scoreless hockey before Kismet Dogan (2G) opened the scoring with her eighth goal of the season. Molly Cole would add to the Delta Green lead 14:02 into the third with a power play goal. Zoe Cramer would get Shawnigan on the board with 2:03 to play but Ellie Chou (1G, 1A) would respond 47 seconds later and Dogan would add her second 19 seconds after that.听
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) vs Edge School (9) Female U18 Prep
Jennifer Keller (3G, 1A) and Kara Mitenko (3G) each recorded hat-tricks to lead Edge School to a 9-1 win Saturday. Shannon Pearson (2G, 1A) chipped in with two goals and an assist. Heidi Danners scored the lone PMHA goal, beating Megs Thiessen (10/11) on the power play late in the second period.听
BWC Academy White (4) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy White (2) U17 Prep
After a scoreless first Gabriel Kaminski (2G) opened the scoring for BWC Academy White. PCHA White would respond 1:28 later as Aleks Ostrovskyy scored on the power play. Tobie Gilchrist scored the go-ahead power play goal for PCHA White 1:12 later but Brandon Burns (1G, 1A) countered 57 seconds later to wrap up an action packed 3:37 of play. In the third Oleksii Zhekov (1G, 1A) scored his 7th of the season and Kaminski added his 11th as BWC Academy White rallied for a 4-2 win.听
Okanagan Hockey Ontario (3) vs Bourget College (6) Eastern U18
Mavrick Boucher opened the scoring for OHO but goals by Marc-Antoine Riopel (1G, 1A) and Luc Alexandre Sedawey (1G, 1A) gave Bourget a 2-1 lead after 20. Justin Barrette (1G, 1A) would extend the lead before Alex Brown and Olivier Belanger traded goals to close out the second. Mathys Blanchette (1G, 2A) and Jordan Laroda traded goals 47 seconds apart before Antoine Lellouche scored shorthanded to secure the Bourget win.听
Northern Alberta Xtreme (8) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep
Despite Michiel Leenders (1G, 1A) putting CIHA up just 1:21 into the game, NAX would start firing on all cylinders. Jordan Duguay (1G, 1A) got things started by polishing off a sweet passing play from Torretto Marrelli (1G, 1A) and Daxon Rudolph (4A). Five more unanswered would follow after Duguay鈥檚 marker, building NAX鈥檚 lead to 6-1 by the end of the second. Edmonton Oil Kings prospect Presley Kerner (2G, 1A) would add his second off of a tic-tac-toe play with the two top picks from the 2023 WHL Draft, Riley Boychuk (1G, 1A) and Rudolph. Nate Stevens (51/59) played the whole 60-minutes for CIHA and managed to rack up 51-saves in the losing effort.听听听听
Yale Hockey Academy (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (3) U15
RHA Kelowna鈥檚 Aiden Andrews (2G) would get this game off the ground early, and close it out late. Yale headed into the late stages of the third with a 2-1 lead and were granted a 2-on-0 with around five-minutes remaining to seal off the win. However, Felix Rossignol (22/24) would stone Yale up close, leading to an RHA Kelowna powerplay shortly after where Kaius Millan would pot one to tie the game at two. Just a 1:12 later, Andrews would strike for his second with a shot over the shoulder of Connor Nevin (33/36) for the eventual GWG.
OHA Edmonton Black (5) vs Notre Dame Red (6/OT) U17 Prep
OHA Edmonton caught the early break on Notre Dame Red with two first period tallies before the ten-minute mark. Callum Biers (3G) would scrape back after the midway point to cut their deficit to one. However, Brodyn Pladson (1G, 1A) would breathe some life into Notre Dame 10-seconds into the second to tie everything back up. Goals would be traded back-and-forth in a busy second period but Brayden Franks would give OHA Edmonton the lead with 1:26 remaining in the frame. Owen MacLean (43/48) would shut down Notre Dame Red鈥檚 crease come the third period, stopping all 12-shots that came his way. His team rewarded his efforts when Biers recorded his second of the afternoon with 22-seconds left to tie the game up at 5-a-piece. Entering overtime, it would be none other than Biers once again clinching his hat-trick along with the GWG. Biers entered the game without a goal on the season.
Delta Hockey Academy (2)听 vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (9) U15
Nicolas Peach scored first for Delta with a brilliant play down the left hand boards to put his academy up by one. However, OHA would bury two rebounds later in the period, including a shorthanded marker from Braylon Lalonde for his first of the campaign. The flood gates would open up from here, OHA would go on to score another seven unanswered with four point efforts from Joel Parker (2G, 2A) and Adam Molinaro (2G, 2A). Caleb Bannister (21/23) picked up the win between the pipes.
King Heights Academy U18 (3) vs Mount Academy U17 (6) Eastern U17
Mount Academy and King Heights would trade goals throughout the first frame, exiting the period drawn at 2-2. Mark Tverskoy (1G, 1A) would put Mount Academy up by one with a solo second period goal. Mount Academy continued to pile on the offence in the third, scoring three more times to put the game out of reach for King Heights. Only three skaters were left off of the scoresheet in Mount Academy鈥檚 victory.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) vs Edge School (6) U15 Prep
Edge School鈥檚 top gun鈥檚 were putting their skills to the test vs. their provincial rivals. Brock England (2G) and Nathan Cole (1G, 2A) provided the game changing offence to push their academy over NAX. Edge would also score two shorthanded goals off of the sticks of England and James Matheos. Jaggar John (2G) would score a pair for NAX late in the third, but it was too little too late.
Shawnigan Lake School (1) vs North Shore Warriors (4) U17 Prep
Despite a shorter bench, NSW was able to claw away a victory over Shawnigan Lake at home thanks to the remarkable play of David Payne (52/53) between the pipes. Payne stopped 52-shots in this contest, including all 25-shots in the third period. Shawnigan Lake鈥檚 penalty trouble in the second led to two NSW powerplay goals which set the tone in this matchup. Noah Friskie (2G) and Jake Banicevic (1G, 2A) were the main offensive contributors in NSW鈥檚 evening win.
Prairie Hockey Academy (4) vs Edge School (3) U18 Prep
Landon Garbitt (38/41) stood on his head for Prairie Hockey Academy throughout this contest, turning away 38-shots from goal. Edge School has the pressure throughout the opening 40-minutes of play with some tantilizing distribution from Landon DuPont (2A) on the point during some powerplays. However, PHA came to play in the third despite being down 3-2. After Edge got into some penalty trouble themselves, PHA would strike for two goals only 29-seconds apart off of the sticks of Ryder Rommelaere and Daniel Helary. Garbitt would hold on for 12-saves in third, fending off Edge for the comeback victory in Winnipeg.听
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (15) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (0) Female U18 Prep
Raedyn Spademan (3G, 3A) led the way with a six point effort in an offensive showcase from RHA Kelowna. Spademan has obtained 11-points in her last three CSSHL games. Gracie Graham (3G, 1A) also picked up a hat-trick in tonight鈥檚 affair, while Chloe Primerano (1G, 3A), Sage Babey (1G, 3A), Makena Lloyd-Howe (2G, 2A) and Jordan Blouin (2G, 2A) all picked up four point nights.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) vs BWC Academy (6) U18 Prep
Koji Gibson (3G) made a statement in his first game back this season for BWC Academy, nabbing a hat-trick, scoring once in each period. Daniel Morozov (2G, 1A) also put up an offensive display, picking up three points in the process. Preston Lewis (38/40) put up 38-saves in his third win in four starts, while Lethbridge Hurricanes prospect Koen Cleaver (52/58) made 52-stops in the 6-2 loss.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme Blue (6) U17 Prep
Parker Fitzgerald (2G, 3A), Mats Lajoie (2G, 1A), and Liam Eisnor (2G) carried NAX Blue鈥檚 offence in a 6-3 win over SAHA. Saskatoon Blades prospect Nathan Guenther (2A) also chipped in two points on the scoresheet himself. SAHA was able to claw back three goals in the third period in a late comeback effort but Parker Snell鈥檚 (34/37) strong first half sealed the deal for NAX Blue.
