OHA Edmonton (5/OT) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (4) U15 Prep
Cole Landreville (1G, 1A) got Pilot Mound off to a strong start netting Saturday鈥檚 opening goal. Brock Vodden would later add another to the Buffaloes tally. Late in the first, Austin Blackmore would jam home a play ignited by Chayse Fedoriuk (3A) to get OHA Edmonton on the scoresheet. In the second, it would take a shorthanded goal from Maddox Ramage (1G, 1A) to break a quiet period, but once again OHA Edmonton was not letting this one slip from them as Brayden Tucker (1G, 1A) cut the deficit to one once more. In the third, Hinata Hashimoto would score early on the powerplay for Pilot Mound to restore the two goal lead again. However, OHA Edmonton would come back swinging late. A powerplay marker from Kael Scott brought them to within one while a late tap-in from Sutton Hodgetts (1G, 1A) forced OT. 54-seconds into overtime, Micah Montgomery would polish off a feed from Tucker to complete the comeback, taking back-to-back games in Pilot Mound. Despite the loss, Yuki Kido鈥檚 (60/65) 60-save performance was able to sneak out a point for the Buffaloes.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (10) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (5) U15 Prep
NAX would open the scoring with five unanswered goals in the first period, looking to repeat what they accomplished yesterday over RHA Winnipeg. However, RHA Winnipeg wouldn鈥檛 sit back, scoring five unanswered of their own to tie this game all up at 5-5 part way through the second. NAX鈥檚 Hayden Harvey (1G, 3A) would get one back for NAX at the end of the second to restore a one goal lead. Come the third, NAX would find their offensive touch once again, scoring another four to close out this contest. Nolan Wolitski (1G, 4A) led the offence from the blueline, picking up five points in the win while Harvey, Ahmad Fayad (3A) and Cruz Jim (3A) all picked up at least three helpers.听
Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (13) U15
Carter Knogler (1G, 5A) led the charge from the blueline with a six point performance in NAX鈥檚 dominant win over RHA Winnipeg. Jared Ryan (3G) would also post a hat-trick while Brady Bisaillon (1G, 4A) posted five points on the morning. Beck Van Kemenade (2G) nabbed two goals for RHA Winnipeg in the loss.
Yale Hockey Academy (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep
Michael Kuzik nabbed the opening goal for Yale with his 12th of the season. Casey Pearson got Delta on the board soon after, striking on the powerplay. Yale would go on to restore their lead in the second with two goals in the first two minutes off the sticks of Matthew Zaitchikov (1G, 1A) and Nicholas Voinea (1G, 1A). Delta fired 15-shots on goal in the middle frame but couldn鈥檛 find an answer for Gavin Craig (40/42). Colton Brum would eventually add a second for Delta part way through the third. Craig would stay solid through the rest of the contest, posting 40-saves in the victory only being beaten twice while Yale was on the PK.
OHA Edmonton (8) vs Notre Dame (6) U17
After trading goals back and forth throughout the first, Joshua Legette鈥檚 (3G) first off the season would put Notre Dame on top through one. Legette would go on to record a natural hat-trick in the second, potting a powerplay and a shorthanded goal to extend Notre Dame鈥檚 lead to 5-2. However, that would all change in under a minute as OHA Edmonton recorded three unanswered in a mere 59-seconds. Come the third, Brandon Thompson (1G, 1A) would restore the lead briefly for Notre Dame, but another three goal explosion from OHA Edmonton would give OHA Edmonton the lead and eventual victory. Noah Stone (2G, 1A) left with the game winner in part of a three point performance.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (1) vs Edge School (7) U15
Dexter Labrecque opened the scoring for RHA Kelowna, but their lead was short lived as Edge School found their groove soon after. In a span of 61-seconds, Matteo Dufour, Kyden Bartole (2G) and Zachary Pomeroy would extinguish RHA Kelowna鈥檚 advantage with a three goal swing. Through the next forty minutes of play, Edge School would garner another four goals. Cade Mazurski (3A) chipped in three primary helpers while Brody Antignani (2G) picked up an extra pair. Hudson Andrews (17/18) picked up the win in between the pipes while Griffin Prairie Chicken (66/73) made an admirable 66-saves in the hard fought loss.
Notre Dame (2) vs OHA Edmonton (7) U15
Between a hot start, a two goal performance from Peyten Shilton (2G) and some solid special teams, OHA Edmonton was able to cruise to victory over Notre Dame. Along with Shilton鈥檚 showing, Jiseong Kim (1G, 2A) and Chase Blair (3A) each nabbed three points a piece. Bronny Kasturi (23/25) made 23-stops in goal to secure the win, capping off his fourth straight win as a starter.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4) U17 Prep
Madden Van Kemenade got the ball rolling 1:36 into play for RHA Winnipeg, giving them the lead through twenty. RHA Winnipeg would add to this lead in the second, picking up another two before heading off into the third. Brady Keith would add a fourth off a wraparound late which proved to be crucial as SAHA struck for three unanswered in the final minutes of the game. Chase Charriere (41/44) would hold on in the final minute to secure the victory for RHA Winnipeg.
Edge School (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (1) Female U18 Prep
Following an Abby Lee (1G, 1A) tip in, Kinsley Peacock would get NAX on the scoresheet to tie things right back up. Just under a minute later, Brooklyn Deck (1G, 1A) would put Edge back in front with her 10th of the season. A scoreless second would follow the first while Avaya McCann sealed the victory with a goal in the third. Alexis Ehrman (28/29) made 28-stops on the afternoon to keep things tidy for Edge.听
Yale Hockey Academy (7) vs Delta Hockey Academy (8/OT) U17 Prep
Caden Leibel (2G, 2A) kickstarted the scoring only 20-seconds into play for Delta while Treyce Pavlic (1G, 2A) added to that tally a couple minutes later. Yale would step up to the plate after falling down 2-0 early, scoring three unanswered to close the frame. Matteo Di Stefano (2G, 2A) added a fourth to Yale鈥檚 total to begin the second. Wyatt Callander (1G, 2A) would get one back for Delta but another two unanswered from Yale increased the scoring gap. Andy Kim would secure one more for Delta at the end of the period which would prove to be crucial as Kishan Saggu (3G) got a quick pair to ignite the third period, tying things up after trailing the entirety of the match. Maxx Trites would restore Yale鈥檚 lead but a late tally from Leibel gave Delta an extra chance in overtime. In the extra frame, it was none other than Saggu, securing the comeback win and the hat-trick in a high-octane affair with their Lower Mainland rivals.听
Bishop’s College School (3/OT) vs Ontario Hockey Academy (2) East U18
After scraping away with a win over Bishop鈥檚 on Friday, OHA was off to another strong start. Max Patenaude and Lukas Kuzma would build a 2-0 lead through one for OHA. Come the second, Bishop鈥檚 would respond. Kayden Robitaille would get them on the board 25-seconds in while Nate Ostridge鈥檚 first of the season tied everything up at 2-2. A scoreless third would lead to overtime where Logan Charby would net the eventual winner. Timofey Williams (37/39) played perfect for the final two frames while Rafael Tremblay (48/51) stole OHA a point after his team was outshot 51-39.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (4) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep
Drayden Uhrina and Easton LaPlante (1G, 2A) would split the scoring in the opening twenty, leaving the door open for action in the second. CIHA鈥檚 Cage Smith (3G) would open the second period with a natural hat-trick to establish a 4-1 lead in the late stages of the second. Layne Schofield and Calder Hutt would exchange goals before the ice clean. RHA Winnipeg would catch some momentum in the third after Cohen Lewko (1G, 1A) made things a one goal game. Late in the period, Carter Haney (1G, 1A) would rifle home his 10th of the season to make it a one goal game. With the net pulled, RHA Winnipeg wasn鈥檛 able to spark any lasting pressure, letting CIHA escape with the win.听听
North Shore Warriors (1) vs Yale Hockey Academy (7) U15
Yale came flying out of the gate as Gavin Beza, Max Ritchey (3G, 1A), Carter Di Stefano (2G) all scored, with Ritchey scoring twice, to give Yale a 4-0 lead. Cohen Waite got North Shore on the board midway through the second but it was quickly cancelled out by another Di Stefano goal. Connor Baines (1G, 1A) would hit double digit goals in the third while Ritchey completed the hat-trick as Yale earned a commanding 7-1 win. Ben Bury (4A) had four assists and Lucca Tassone (22/23) made 22 saves for his ninth win of the season as Yale improved to a perfect 17-0-0.听
OHA Edmonton (9) vs Edge School (6) U17 Prep
A high scoring affair started with two goals from OHA Edmonton in the opening seven minutes as Cash Brebant and Evan Dowling (1G, 1A) each found the back of the net. Defenseman Reeve Waugh (2G) scored twice in the first 4:02 of the second to level the score. OHA Edmonton countered 12 seconds later as Jaggar John (3G, 1A) scored his 11th, and Jihwan Kim added to the lead 20 seconds after that. John would score a power play goal five minutes later, which was cancelled out by an Andrew Ragusa shorthanded goal. Antonio Cazac (2G) brought Edge within one 39 seconds into the third and Eric Wagman (1G, 3A) tied the game six minutes later. Michael Kaplan (1G, 1A) restored the OHA Edmonton lead but Cazac tied the game 24 seconds after that. Miles Hartmann (1G, 1A) gave OHA Edmonton the lead for good late in the third and Logan Miller (1G, 2A) doubled the gap 17 seconds later. John would complete the hat-trick with 37 seconds left, scoring an empty net goal.听
Kuper Academy (7) vs Ontario Hockey Academy (1) East U17
Jiayi Liu (1G, 1A) and Amir Makdad (1G, 2A) scored in the first while Malkin Pierre (2G) added two in the second as Kuper held a 4-0 advantage going into the third. Yota Matsumura would score on the power play 32 seconds into the third to halt the run but Michael Paliotti countered 33 seconds later. Gianfranco Capparelli (1G, 1A) and Thomas Brereton (1G, 1A) added third period markers to further increase the lead and Jeremy Lemieux (24/25) finished with 24 saves. Griffin Fitzpatrick (62/69) faced 69 shots in the loss.听
Delta Hockey Academy (2) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (6) U18 Prep
Jed Lake (1G, 1A) and Trace Anderson scored power play goals 10 minutes apart as PCHA led 2-0 after 20. Cameron Collins (2G) would score shorthanded and add an even strength goal to extend the advantage in the second period. Parson Shahi (1G, 1A) tallied another Pacific Coast power play goal 4:11 into the third period. Delta would get on the board 1:27 later as Ryder Dunn scored his third of the season. Elliott Hill (1G, 1A) and Jack Morgan traded goals to close out the game. Sam Saskiw (26/28) and Greyson Moroz (38/44) were in net for their respective teams.听
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) vs Shawnigan Lake School (2) Female U18 Prep
Danica Maynard (1G, 2A) opened the scoring for RHA Kelowna (16-0-0) 5:08 into the first with a power play goal. Jillian McLaughlin added her 11th goal of the season 5:44 into the second period. Leah Hill got Shawnigan (10-4-0) on the board late in the second period. Emelia McDermid (2G) would counter with her 10th of the season 1:05 later before she added a power play goal less than two minutes after that. Jordan Blouin would get in on the action with a power play goal of her own 54 seconds later as RHA Kelowna scored three times in the final 3:07 of the second. Meera Smith scored the lone third period goal to give Shawnigan life but Jaya Schippel (31/33) was able to shut the door the rest of the way.听
St. Mary’s Academy (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (9) Female U18 Prep
Rowyn Street (4G, 1A) and Sydney Stibbard (2G, 2A) paced the RHA Winnipeg offence in a 9-1 win over St. Mary鈥檚. Payton Chornley (1G, 1A), Shayla Scinnocca and Attica Sobering (1G, 1A) added the other goals for RHA Winnipeg in the win. Payton Henwood ended the Bailey Schwartz (33/34) shutout bid midway through the third period.听
Northern Alberta Xtreme (3/SO) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep
After NAX and SAHA needed overtime yesterday to declare a winner, today鈥檚 rematch would head to a shootout. It was the home team who led 1-0 after 20 as Brayden Ryan-Mackay scored his seventh of the season. A Ty Krooshoop power play goal put SAHA ahead 2-0 as they looked to avenge yesterday鈥檚 loss. Liam Eisnor (2G) would get NAX on the board midway through the third before adding the tying goal late in the period. Nate Stevens (35/37) and Mattias Radke (47/49) would keep the game tied 2-2 through the final 20 minutes and all of overtime. In the shootout, Maddox Rose would score in the fourth round to give NAX their second straight win over SAHA.听
Delta Hockey Academy Green (10) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (0) Female U18 Prep
Maisie Cope (16/16) made 16 saves for her first shutout of the season and eighth of her CSSHL career as Delta Green defeated OHA Black 10-0. Defenseman Avery Wilson (3G) recorded a hat-trick while Payton Finnie (2G, 2A) led all skaters with four points. Erica Barnard (2G), Jayda Becker, Zaynab Kalyan (1G, 1A), and Niayah Morris scored the other Delta Green goals. Ryann Faulkner (39/49) faced 49 shots in the OHA Black net.听
Indigenous Sports Academy vs Prairie Hockey Academy U17 Prep
ISA led 1-0 after 20 as Kaythin Mirasty scored his sixth goal of the season. Ethan Unger (2G) and Dane Chalupa countered in the second as Prairie headed into the final frame with a 2-1 lead. Unger added his second power play goal of the game 4:38 into the third to extend the lead. Hudson Albert scored with 6:19 remaining but Indigenous Sports Academy was unable to rally to tie the game as Drake Mooney (22/24) finished with 22 saves. Jaco Appleby (46/49) made 46 saves in the loss.听
Stanstead College (8) vs Mount Academy (2) East U17
Alex Laboissonniere put Mount ahead early but Emanuel Ganz (1G, 4A) tied the game just 30 seconds later. Cory Logan (2G) added a late first period goal as Stanstead held a 2-1 advantage heading into the intermission. Jace Hynes tied the game on the power play with the lone second period goal. What had been a close game through 40 took a wild turn in the third as Stanstead would score six unanswered to claim the lopsided 8-2 win. Charles Genereux (2G, 1A) and Logan scored power play goals, Hubert Melancon (2G, 1A) scored shorthanded, and Parker Banks, Genereux and Melancon scored even strength goals.听
Delta Hockey Academy Black (3/SO) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) U15
Tommy Nemeth (1G, 1A) opened the scoring 1:22 in with his fifth goal of the season for Pacific Coast. Zachary Giles tied the game 10:09 later as the two teams entered the second even at 1-1. Cash Field gave Delta Black their first lead of the game early in the second but Callan McCall (1G, 1A) leveled the score midway through the game with a power play marker. Luc Wilson-Kurenoff (19/21) and Jace Zemanek (52/54) would keep clean sheets through the third and overtime to send the game to a shootout. In the shootout Wilson-Kurenoff stopped two of three PCHA shooters and Bentley Gillis and Taegeon Park each scored for Delta Black to give them the 3-2 win.听
Notre Dame (0) vs Edge School (7) U18 Prep
Edge outshot Notre Dame 41-12 en route to a 7-0 win Saturday. Mirco Dufour (2G) and Jeff Niehaus scored 2:14 apart in the first. Dufour would score the lone second period goal to extend the lead. Ethan Elefante and Keegan De Sa (2G, 1A) scored power play goals to kick-start the third period. Adam M鈥檋amed and De Sa added late game goals to round out the scoring. Leif Oaten (12/12) and Joshua Heitman (34/41) were in net for their respective teams.听
North Shore Warriors (5) vs Shawnigan Lake School (1) U17 Prep
North Shore started the game by scoring three goals, including two on the power play, in a span of 6:08. Samuel Shepard opened the scoring before Chase Vossenaar (1G, 1A) and Connor Liu added the power play tallies. Cache Thomas got Shawnigan on the board late in the first before a scoreless second saw North Shore continue to lead by two. That advantage would grow in the third as Nash Dickson and Robert Orr (1G, 2A) each scored unassisted markers to secure the 5-1 win. Oscar Hicik (15/16) made 15 saves to record the win.听
Delta Hockey Academy Black (2) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (7) Female U18 Prep
Abigail Jung opened the scoring for Delta Black but the lead was short lived as Felicia Girardo tied the game 2:04 later and Ava Clavelle scored the go-ahead goal five minutes after. Emma Deleurme added an early second period goal before Jada Wood (2G, 1A) scored twice in the final 3:51 of the second. Makenna Brassard and Alex Recsky (1G, 1A) each scored their fourth goals of the season midway through the third as OHA held a commanding 7-1 lead. Kiernan Ledoux scored a late consolation goal for Delta Black, beating Maive Gosselin Berg (21/23) with 1:43 remaining.听
Northern Alberta Xtreme (2) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (7) U17
Zander Watson opened the scoring just 2:46 in but NAX was quick to respond as Seth Kshyk (1G, 1A) tied the game 49 seconds later. Cohen Greenwood (2G) restored the lead 59 seconds later and added his second of the game ten minutes later. Kase Gellner (1G, 1A) added Prairie’s second power play goal 58 seconds into the second as they led 4-1. Jacob Collins (1G, 1A) scored his 11th of the season midway through the second but it was cancelled out by a Reid Schmalz (1G, 2A) short handed marker. Brady Davidson (1G, 1A) added a power play goal midway through the third and Aiden Masse (1G, 1A) tallied a late even strength goal to round out the scoring in a 7-2 Prairie win.听
St. George’s School (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep
Yale found themselves in early penalty trouble with two infractions in the first 1:30 but still managed to score the opening goal as Ilija Majkic鈥檚 (2G) fourth of the year gave them the lead 5:57 in. London Taylor tied the game less than two minutes later but a Jayden Oleskiw power play goal 2:07 later put Yale back on top. Majkic scored another power play goal, the lone goal of the second, to double the Yale lead going into the third. Shaun Hildebrandt (1G, 1A) extended the lead 8:32 into the third with his fourth of the season. Harshaan Kaila cut into the lead 2:07 later but another Yale power play goal 2:06 after by Eli Barrett (1G, 2A) clinched a 5-2 Yale win.听
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (1) vs St. George’s School (7) U15 Prep
Nathaniel Moore (1G, 2A) kick-started the offence just 29 seconds in as St. George鈥檚 scored five first period goals, and seven straight, en route to a 7-1 win. Maximus Scheffer ended the Kole Andersosov (30/31) shutout bid with 8:41 remaining. Louis Oscar Holowaychuk (3A) and defenseman Quinn Pickering (2G, 1A) tied Moore for the team lead with three points in the win.听
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) vs BWC Academy (1) U17
A shorthanded marker by Kesler Hamilton (2G) opened the scoring for RHA Kelowna 6:09 in. Jaxen McFegan tied the game 1:35 later as he scored his seventh goal of the season. Hamilton would restore the lead 1:48 later as RHA Kelowna was up 2-1 after 20. Zander Zorn scored another shorthanded goal for RHA Kelowna in the second as their penalty kill would outscore the BWC Academy power play. Bradley Keightley (2G) scored twice in the third, including once on the power play, to put the game out of reach. William Stewart (22/23) and Liam Kellett (46/51) were in net for their respective teams.听
OHA Edmonton (3) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (4) Female U18 Prep
After a scoreless first period Keyana Bert (1G, 2A) and Kamryn Reiber (2G) scored power play goals 2:40 apart as SAHA grabbed a 2-0 lead. Ryann Jugnauth would get OHA Edmonton on the board late in the second with a power play goal of her own. Taye Baker scored her first of the season 2:16 into the third as SAHA extended their advantage. Ryann Chimera (1G, 1A) would bring OHA Edmonton within one early in the third and Kyla Pappas tied the game with 2:32 left. But SAHA would reclaim the lead with 23 seconds left as Reiber scored her second power play goal of the night. Hannah Palumbo (26/29) finished with 26 saves to earn the win in net for SAHA.听
BWC Academy (0) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep
Parker Parrish (40/40) and Josh Wu (27/29) kept the game scoreless through the first 25 minutes until Chase Heide (2G) scored on the power play 5:26 into the second. He would score again 10 minutes later to give PCHA a 2-0 lead going into the final period. James Powell would add an empty net goal with 18 seconds remaining as Pacific Coast shutout BWC Academy 3-0.听
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (5) U17
A goal with 35 seconds left in the first by Jaxson Bartsch (2G, 1A) gave OHA a lead going into the intermission. Kaelen Rusjan scored the lone second period goal to even the score heading into the third. Gage Kiselbach restored the OHA lead with a power play goal 57 seconds into the third and Beckham Taggart (1G, 1A) added another OHA power play goal minutes later. Collin Lee brought PCHA back within one just 11 seconds later but late goals from Rylan Bengert (1G, 1A) and Bartsch secured the OHA victory.听
Shawnigan Lake School (4/SO) vs BWC Academy (3) U18 Prep
Richard Wonyeneh scored 1:58 in and Lukas Lima added his sixth of the season as BWC Academy led 2-0 after 20. Ryan Turner (1G, 1A) would get Shawnigan on the board early in the second with a power play goal. Shawnigan would run into penalty trouble midway through the second, leading to Jonathan Bitonti scoring on a 5-on-3 to restore the two goal lead. Koen Gauthier would quickly counter 18 seconds later for Shawnigan, while on the same penalty kill. Trailing late in the third, Brandon Kendall found the equaliser with 1:35 left to play. After a scoreless overtime, Will Stonehouse (56/59) stopped all three BWC Academy shooters and Nigel Alberts beat Adler Ames (32/35) as Shawnigan completed the comeback with a 4-3 shootout victory.听
Okanagan Hockey Academy (2/OT) vs North Shore Warriors (1) U15 Prep
OHA outshot North Shore 18-9 in the first and Cohen Short opened the scoring 1:07 in. William Thompson tied the game 3:27 into the second with a power play marker. After Maddox Slater (29/30) and Ashton Sims (46/48) kept clean sheets in the third, the game would head to overtime. OHA would find themselves down a man 1:51 into the extra frame, taking a Too Many Men penalty. But OHA would overcome the North Shore man advantage as Talon Scinocca (1G, 1A) scored shorthanded 45 seconds later to give OHA the 2-1 OT win.听
