David Lebel opened the scoring for Mount Academy 2:26 into the game and scored another tally in the second, while Chad Lebeau added a pair of goals, as well. Jano Zambakdijan chipped in with a multi-point effort, adding three assists. Mount Academy goaltender turned aside just eight shots to record the shutout.Ìý
Ontario Hockey Academy Prep (3) vs Okanagan Hockey Ontario U18 (2/ OT) Eastern U18
The game was tied heading into the second period, when Zachary Larocque found the back of the net to give Ontario Hockey Academy the lead. It was short-lived though, as Jordan Laroda would respond minutes later to tie the game for Okanagan Hockey Ontario. Sam Jossinet would give OHO the lead 0:58 into the third period, but Aidan Brewer scored an unassisted marker midway through the period to tie the game once again, forcing extra time. In OT, Jayden Lyons capitalised, scoring the game winner for OHA.
Ontario Hockey Academy Maroon U17 (3) vs Mount Academy U17 (4/OT) Eastern U17
The score went back and forth throughout the game, with both teams trading chances and goals. Louis-Carl Tremblay, Aiden Diamond and Justin Hughes each scored for Mount Academy in the game, while William Gosselin (PP), Brayden Bessner (PP) and Takanobu Hiraga responded with goals for Ontario Hockey Academy. The score was 3-3 through regulation, so overtime was required. Just 0:42 into the extra frame, Louis-Carl Tremblay scored his second goal of the game to win it for Mount Academy.
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg U18 (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme U18 (2/OT) Female U18 Prep
Kurtia Yetman opened the scoring with a powerplay marker to give RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg a first period lead. In response, however, Larae Benoit would find the back of the net for Northern Alberta Xtreme to tie the game 1-1 at the intermission. After two scoreless periods, overtime would be needed to determine a winner, where Maria Ayre would be the hero for NAX, scoring 0:54 seconds into OT to win it.
CIH Academy U17 (4) vs Mount Academy U16 (0) Eastern U17
Jared Georgekish’ second goal of the season, scored midway through the first period, would hold up as the game-winner, with Henry Newell adding a goal and two assists for CIH Academy in the win. Goaltender Jordan Dumont turned aside 26 of 26 shots to pick up the shutout and his first win of the season between the pipes.
Wenatchee 16U (0) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep
Zachary White turned aside 30 of 31 shots for Wenatchee, but a first period goal from Michael Konechny proved to be the difference maker in the game for Pacific Coast Hockey Academy. With under a minute to go in the third period, Jaxsen Healy would add an insurance marker into the empty net to seal it for PCHA. Koen Cleaver (5-2-0) made 19-saves to record the shutout for his fifth win of the season.
Prairie Hockey Academy (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) U17 Prep
Gage Nagel scored twice in the first period for Prairie Hockey Academy giving them a 2-1 advantage through twenty minutes. In response, it was all RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna in the second period, getting goals from Aidan Fisher and Logan Flint to put RHA Kelowna ahead 3-2 at the break. Jake Skogstad and Toby Simpkins added tallies in the third period to put the game out of reach.
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy U18 (1) vs Edge School U18 Female (11) U18 Prep
Edge School converted four times on seven powerplay opportunities (4/7) which was a difference maker in the game. Mikayla Watson had a seven-point performance with a goal and six helpers, while Jordan Blouin added two goals and two assists for Edge in the win. Emily Carson picked up the win in net for Edge, with the lone goal for Pilot Mound Hockey Academy coming off the stick of Piper Miller.Ìý
Indigenous Sports Academy (3) vs Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (4/SO) U17 Prep
Couer d’Alene Hockey Academy had a three-goal lead early in the second period, after Verners Veinbergs scored on the powerplay and Aaron Romance added two tallies, one with the extra-skater, as well. The lead would not last, however. Jake Yakubowski answered back with a powerplay tally of his own to put Indigenous Sports Academy on the board, and Tayvian Delorme and Kallum Windigo scored in the third to tie the game 3-3 and send it to overtime. A shootout would be required to determine a winner, where Brody Asuchak would score to win it for CDA.Ìý
North Shore Warriors (2) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (3/SO) U18 Prep
Hunter Sellers put Okanagan Hockey Academy out front 1-0 with a powerplay goal and Jace Shuttleworth extended the lead in the second period, scoring his second of the season. However, in the third period, Dawson Cote would strike 0:55 into the period, and Bryson Carlyle scored the game-tying goal for the North Shore Warriors with 0:28 left in the game to force overtime. OT solved nothing, but in the shootout Kayden Clark scored to win it for OHA.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep
Northern Alberta Xtreme (4-0-0) remains unbeaten to start the year with a win on Friday. After Charlie Grant scored in the opening minute (0:51) to give Okanagan Hockey Academy the lead, NAX responded with four-straight goals to take control. Cohen Carter, Eric Geisbrecht, Clarke Schaefer and Owen Brees all found the net to make it 4-1 heading to the third, where both teams would add another goal in the final frame en route to a 5-2 final.
CIH Academy U18 (2) vs Mount Academy U18 Prep (3) Eastern U18
Both teams converted on the powerplay in the first period; Charlie Wilson for CIH Academy and Brandon Gauthier for CIH Academy, which left the score tied 1-1 through twenty minutes. Landon Fraser scored on the powerplay in the second period to give Mount Academy the lead, but Giovanni Mandruzzato responded with a powerplay tally in the third to tie the game 2-2. The only even-strength goal of the game turned out to be the game-winner, off the stick of Anthony Malloy to give Mount Academy the edge.
Delta Hockey Academy Black (4) vs North Shore Warriors (1) U15 Prep
Jordan Nguyen and Otto Spofforth both scored for Delta Hockey Academy to set the tone offensively, while Jackson Cripps added a goal and two assists in the contest. Preston Kelly-Paquet lit the lamp late on the powerplay for North Shore to foil the shutout bid, but Delta goaltender Greyson Moroz turned aside 34 shots to record the win.
BWC Academy (4) vs OHA Edmonton (0) U17 Prep
Brett Peebles opened the scoring and Daniel Tong scored his fourth of the season five minutes later as BWC Academy would lead 2-0 after 20. Nolan Gray would score the lone second period goal and Peyton Dorman would add one more in the third as BWC Academy skated to a 4-0 win. Josh Vallee stopped all 18 shots he faced to earn the shutout. Corbin Sanderman (37/41) made 37 saves in the loss.Ìý
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (6) U18 Prep
RHA Kelowna would fire 65 shots at Ben Delisi (59/65), beating him 6 times to earn the 6-2 victory. Kai Adano (3A), Bronson Ross (1G, 1A) and Maddox Watson (1G, 1A) all recorded at least two points in the win. Mason Lochten and Riley Nadell each scored for CDA.Ìý
Okanagan Hockey Ontario U18 (1) vs Mount Academy U18 Varsity (6) Eastern U18
Mount Academy would outshoot OHO 56-19 en route to a 6-1 win. Samuel Boisvert (2G, 2A) opened the scoring 1:23 in before Mateo Signoretti scored the lone OHO goal to tie it. Another Boisvert goal minutes later would give Mount the lead, and all the offence they would need. Second period goals from Gus El-Tahhan (2G, 2A) and Samuel Masse, and a third period marker from Noah Morency would seal the deal. Rylan Benner (18/19) improved his record to a perfect 4-0-0 on the season.Ìý
Yale Hockey Academy (7) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep
Yale would score four first period goals and one early in the second as they jumped out to a commanding lead. Pilot Mound would score two goals in four minutes to give them some life, but two more late second period goals by Yale secured a 7-2 victory. Lucas Biros (3A) and Kyoughun Oh (3A) led the way offensively, while Levi Benson (1G, 1A), Kainoah Brankovic (1G, 1A), Alexandre Jacques (2G) and Ilija Majkic (1G, 1A) all recorded two points. Sam Takahashi (1G, 1A) played a part in both Pilot Mound goals.Ìý
Edge School (9) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (0) U18 Prep
Edge outshot PMHA 69-7 in a 9-0 win. Brendan Calahasen (2G, 1A) scored twice while Miles Cooper (4A) and Terik Parascak (1G, 3A) led all skaters with four points. Nolan DuPont (1G, 2A) registered three points and Noah Davis made 17 saves for the shutout victory.Ìý
Prairie Hockey Academy (2) vs Notre Dame (11) U15 Prep
An eventful first period would see Notre Dame ahead 3-2 after 20. The final 40 minutes would be a much different story as Notre Dame would score eight straight goals to grab an 11-2 win. Brodyn Pladson (4G) scored four goals while Dominique Fortin (1G, 3A) also recorded four points. Ethan Suhr made 20 saves in the win. Kane Domres and Darryl McKenzie scored for Prairie.Ìý
Yale Hockey Academy (4) vs BWC Academy (2) U18 Prep
Brody Lindal (2G) scored for BWC Academy and Grant Reid (1G, 1A) scored his first of the season for Yale as the two teams were tied after 20. Steven Foster would give Yale an early second period lead before Lindal would tie the game heading into the third. Cohen Massey would score midway through the third and Chase Valliant would add an empty netter late as Yale defeated BWC Academy 4-2.Ìý
Okanagan Hockey Academy U17 (0) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna U18 (5) Female U18 Prep
RHA Kelowna outshot OHA 58-7 as they skated to a 5-0 victory Friday night. Carmen Bray, Janelle Evans (1G, 1A), Kyly Laybolt, Maddie Leaney and defenseman Chloe Primerano (1G, 2A) all scored for RHA Kelowna in the win. Madison Bowtell (7/7) earned her third win, and first shutout, of the season.Ìý
Notre Dame (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy (6) U17 Prep
Notre Dame held a 2-0 lead 26 minutes in thanks to two goals from Taye Shukin (2G) but Delta would score 6 unanswered en route to a 6-2 victory. Armaan Kaila (17/19) made 17 saves and Philipp Nuss (1G, 2A), Caden Cail (2G) and Kaleb Hartmann (2A) paced the Delta offence. Russell Newman stopped 38 of 43 in the loss.Ìý
International Hockey Academy (1) vs St. George’s School (9) U17 Prep
Backed by a goal just 35 seconds in and 4 powerplay goals St. George’s defeated IHA 9-1. Sachin Sidhu (2G, 1A) and Aydan Wang (2G) each scored twice while Hunter Morgan (3A) recorded three assists. Austin Ball (26/27) stopped 26 shots as Reid Mayhew was the lone shooter to beat him. Tyler Hoar (25/34) was in net for IHA in the loss.Ìý
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (1) vs BWC Academy (2) U15
Kayden Platt opened the scoring midway through the second as BWC Academy held a 1-0 lead heading into the third. Julian Revel would score his fourth of the season late in the third to extend the lead. Jack Brown would score a minute later to bring RHA Kelowna within one, but Cash Christie (24/25) would shut the door the rest of the way. Caleb Bannister (36/38) made 36 stops in net for RHA Kelowna.
