Yale Hockey Academy (10) at Shawnigan Lake School (3) – U17 Prep
The Yale U17 Prep team was firing on all cylinders once again, scoring 10 goals for the second straight game. Jesse Heslop (2G, 3A), Ethan Merner (2G), McCarthy Richardson (1G, 3A), and Evan Smith (1G, 2A) paved the way offensively for Yale as Ethan Eskit made 21 saves. Sam Bailey had one goal and an assist for Shawnigan in the loss.
Delta Hockey Academy Green (5) at Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) – U15 Prep
Following a 5-4 defeat in their season opener yesterday, Delta Green responded with a 5-3 win today, splitting the weekend series against Pacific Coast. Eight different skaters scored and Ryan Lin (Delta Green) and Noah Kosick (Pacific Coast) had two- and three-point games. Armaan Kaila made 21 saves in the win.
OHA Black (4) at Delta Hockey Academy (8) – U17 Prep
Highlighted by a four goal second period, Delta defeated OHA Black 8-4 to improve to 2-0-0 on the season. Jordan Gavin (4A), Cayden Lindstrom (3G, 2A), and Tomas Mrsic (2G, 1A) did the majority of the damage for Delta, while four different players scored for OHA Black. Darian Moberly made 15 saves in the win.
Delta Hockey Academy (3) at RINK Kelowna (5) – U16 Prep
RINK Kelowna outshot Delta 53-46 and scored three goals in less than two minutes on route to a 5-3 win. Hunter Laing set up Maddox Watson for three goals, including two on the powerplay 38 seconds apart. Preston Patenaude made 43 saves to pick up the win.
Shawnigan Lake School (5/OT) at BWC Academy (4) – U18 Prep
Dylan Compton set-up Liam Bridger with six seconds left in overtime as Shawnigan defeated BWC 5-4. After a scoreless first, both teams would score four goals in the final forty minutes. Charles Legros (Shawnigan) and Charlie Tritt (BWC) each faced 49 shots. Bridger (1G, 2A) and Liam Krupcyznski (2G) led the way offensively for Shawnigan, while Diego Buttazzoni finished with three assists for BWC.
West Van Academy (2) at Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (8) – U16 Prep
Pacific Coast improves to 3-0-0 on the season with an 8-2 victory over West Van. The goals came in bunches for Pacific Coast, scoring four in a four-minute span in the first period, and two in the first 37 seconds of the second. Seth Fryer (2A), Austin Garrett (2G, 1A), Brendon Hall (1G, 2A), Taynton Lavender (2G), Max Lavoie (1G, 1A), and Landon Mackie (1G, 2A) all finished with multi point games for Pacific Coast.
Yale Hockey Academy (3) at RINK Kelowna (2) – U15 Prep
Braeden Cootes scored with 58 seconds left in the third to give Yale a 3-2 victory over RINK Kelowna. Nate Stevens made 27 saves picking up the win, while Steele Bass made 30 stops for RINK Kelowna. Yale forward Savin Virk (2A) was the lone skater with multiple points.
