Ontario Hockey Academy U17 (3) at Bourget College U17 (5) Eastern

Gavin McLenaghan (1G,2A) was the Bourget hero, scoring the game winner with just 22 seconds left on the clock. Adam Belzill (2G,2A) would add an empty netter just eight seconds later to clinch the Bourget victory. Simon Kobylecki and Marc-Antoine Riopel (1G,1A) would score the other Bourget goals and netminder Umberto Verdone would make 29 saves to keep his record a perfect 5-0-0-0. Patrice Lafontaine (1G,1A) and Kevins Petersons (2A) led the OHA offence.Ìý

Mount Academy U18 #1 (5) at Bourget College U18 (4) Eastern

Gus El-Tahhan (2G) scored his seventh goal of the season with 37 seconds left to give Mount Academy a 5-4 win over Bourget College. Mount held leads of 2-1 after 20 and 4-2 after 40 but David Rioux and Emile Tremblay (1G,1A) scored 1:05 apart in the third period to tie the game at 4. But a late powerplay opportunity for Mount would prove the difference as Liam Travis and Isaac Tremblay set up El-Tahhan for the game winner. Loic Lacombe made 35 saves in the win.Ìý

Notre Dame (1) at Northern Alberta Xtreme (11) U18 Prep

NAX outshot Notre Dame 60-16 in an 11-1 win Saturday morning. Teydon Trembecky (4G,1A) led all skaters with five points while defenseman Tristen Doyle (3G) recorded a hattrick. Jackson Bessette (2G,2A), Morgan Brady (1G,2A), Brandan Tronchin (3A), and Reid Varkonyi (3A) all recorded at least three points in the win. Wesley Wilding scored the lone Notre Dame goal, beating Alexander Scheiwiller (15/16) 3:12 into the third period.ÌýÌý

Ontario Hockey Academy U18 (3) at CIH U18 (1) Eastern

Marc-Antoine Belzille (1G,1A) opened the scoring for OHA just 1:40 into the game. Petar Simic would extend the lead 10 minutes later, but Giovanni Mandruzzato would score a powerplay marker with 1:21 left in the opening period to cut into the OHA lead. Defenseman Enzo Kornum would add the lone second period goal for OHA, as both goalies would shut the door the rest of the way. Vadim Borisov (20/21) picked up the win, while Eric Villeneuve (33/36) was in net for the loss.Ìý

Shawnigan Lake School (5/OT) at St. George’s School (4) U17 Prep

A back and forth game ended with a Stefano Ruggieri goal 2:02 into overtime as Shawnigan defeated St. George’s 5-4. Luka Scherbyna (1G,1A) scored the lone goal in the first as St. George’s grabbed a 1-0 lead. Shawnigan would get second period goals from Bryce Minten (2G) and Coco Armstrong (2G,1A) to grab a 3-2 advantage at the end of 2. But Braulio Siu would score 24 seconds into the third to tie it, before both teams traded goals to close out the period and force overtime. Onni Haemaelaeinen made 31 saves in the win.Ìý

RINK Winnipeg (4) at Edge School (2) U18 Prep

Keifer Miller (1G,1A) opened the scoring for Edge School 2:07 into the game but it was RHA Winnipeg who held the lead after 20 thanks to goals from Joey Lies (1G,2A) and Brett Kaiser (2G). RHA Winnipeg would extend their lead with goals 53 seconds apart from London Hoilett and Kaiser’s second of the game. Defenseman Justin Kipkie would score 1:25 after the second Kaiser goal, but Edge was unable to solve Jackson McLeod (38/40) the rest of the way.Ìý

CIH U17 (1) at Mount Academy U16 (7) Eastern

Mount Academy outshot CIH 51-31, scoring 7 goals in the win over CIH. Jack Brown (2A), Brady Burke (1G,1A), Ryan Fletcher (1G,1A), Justin Hughes (1G,1A), and Matthew McDonald (1G,1A) all recorded two points in the win while Rylan Aiken stopped 30 of 31 shots. Lukas Plank scored the lone CIH goal in the second period.Ìý

Notre Dame (7) at Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) U17 Prep

Notre Dame was up 3-1 heading into the third period before they exploded for 4 goals in the final 20, including 2 in a span of 1:01. Gabriel Bugeaud (2G,1A) led the Notre Dame offence whileWyatt Davis (1G,1A), Aidan Murray (2A) and Ryan Zabchuk (1G,1A) all recorded multi point games. Carlos De Leon scored the lone Pilot Mound goal, beating Andrew Kreis (19/20) in the second period. Miles Gordon made 42 saves in net for Pilot Mound during the loss.Ìý

South Alberta Hockey Academy (7) at International Hockey Academy (0) U18 Prep

Elias Eisenbarth (3G) scored a natural hat trick to open the scoring and SAHA tallied five second period goals as they defeated IHA 7-0.Ìý Aiden Oiring (3A) and Shane Smith (2G,1A) each had three points in the win. Defensemen Emmett Barnett (1G,2A) and Ephram McNutt (2A) each had multi point games in the win. Zack Zahara made 14 saves in the shutout victory.Ìý

RINK Kelowna (4) at Delta Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep

Corbin Vaughan and Smyth Rebman (2G) each scored in the first as RHA Kelowna opened up to a 2-0 lead. Alexander Sandhu (2G) would respond in the second for Delta, scoring twice 10 minutes apart. But just 11 seconds after Sandhu tied the game, Rebman would score his second of the game to regain the RHA Kelowna lead. Brayden Skogstad (1G,1A) would add a late third period goal to secure the RHA Kelowna victory.Ìý

Scotiabank Showcase Yale Hockey Academy (3) at Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) U15

Jayden Oleskiw (1G,1A) and Sawyer Dingman (2G,2A) traded first period goals as the two teams entered the intermission tied at one. Wyatt Okrainetz and Rylan Daley would score in the second to give NAX a 3-1 lead heading into the third. Dingman would score his second of the game 3:38 into the third to extend the NAX advantage before Bodie Jerome (1G,1A) brought Yale back within two. But Jordan Duguay (1G,1A) would add another NAX tally with less than five minutes remaining to ensure the NAX victory. Matthew Dowdall would score a late consolation goal, beating Taylor Raynard (22/25) with just seven seconds left.

Shawnigan Lake School (1) at Yale Hockey Academy (4) U18 Prep

Jack Ketsa opened the scoring with his second of the season 8:28 into the first. Zachary Johnson would tie the game 6:54 into the second but Yale would respond with three straight goals from Coy Pighin (2G,1A) and Pierce Whyte to grab a 4-1 victory. Caleb Hadland (2A) would record two and Carter Capton (31/32) would earn his fifth win of the season. Charles Legros made 46 saves in the loss.Ìý

Yale Hockey Academy (8) at RINK Kelowna (0) U17 Prep

Yale Hockey Academy improved to 9-3-1 on the season after a commanding win over RINK Kelowna. Michael Dowdall (1G,5A) had a goal and four assists, McCarthy Richardson (1G,3A) had a four-point night and Jesse Heslop (2G,2A) scored his 17th goal of the season, extending his point streak to eight games. Ethan Eskit earned his first shutout, turning aside all 25 shots he faced.

Prairie Hockey Academy (2) at OHA Edmonton (5) U18 Prep

Zane Saab (1G,2A) scored his tenth goal of the season at 8:27 of the first period to open the scoring for OHA Edmonton, but Prairie Hockey Academy answered back with a shorthanded tally (11:42) by Brennan Watterson to tie the game 1-1 after twenty minutes. Garrett Thom (2G) gave OHA Edmonton the lead scoring at 7:29 of the second period, (he would add another at 11:08), and Brynn MacLean scored the go-ahead marker 0:16 seconds later at 7:45.ÌýÌýNick Kunyk has won his last three starts for OHA Edmonton, making 19 saves on 21 shots.Ìý

Scotiabank Showcase Rink Kelowna (2) at OHA Edmonton (3) U15

Play was fairly even in this one with OHA Edmonton gaining the edge in shots (41-40) and on the scoreboard. Owen Downey (2G) scored twice on the powerplay for RINK Kelowna, but Nolan Schmidt, Charles Dargis and Calum Giese added tallies for OHA Edmonton, which led to the win. Nathan Salisbury (4-3-0) turned aside 38 of 40 shots to register his fourth win of the season for OHA Edmonton.

St. George’s School (4) at Shawnigan Lake School Lake (1) U15 Prep

St.George’s picked up their fourth win of the season, outshooting Shawnigan Lake 51-30 in the game. Amadeo Sim (2G) scored a pair of goals, Rui Han (1G,1A) had a two-point nightÌý and Trace Frieden (1G,2A) had three-points for the Saints. Austin Ball won his fifth start between the pipes this season making 29 saves on 30 shots.

Delta Hockey Academy (2) at Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (3 OT) U17 Prep

Okanagan Hockey Academy Black handed Delta Hockey Academy their first loss, after 15-straight wins since the start of the season. Connor Quam found the back of the net at 2:02 of the second period to give OHAB the 1-0 lead, but Miguel Marques tied the game for Delta with his 26th goal of the season. Marques has now scored a goal or more in 13-straight games and is currently riding a 15 game point-streak. Cayden Lindstrom gave Delta the 2-1 lead in the third period, but Cole Wadsworth would tie it for OHAB in the final minute (19:14) to send the game to overtime. With under a minute remaining in the extra frame, Rhett Miller notched his 12th of the season to win the game.Ìý

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (0) at St. George’s School (4) U18 Prep

St. George’s School kept Pacific Coast Hockey Academy off the scoreboard thanks to a 21-save performance from Jaiden Sharma (6-2-0), who picked up his second shutout of the season. Marcus Dashevsky scored in the first period, Pavi Bandesha and Justin Street tallied in the second frame and Ben Sutton lit the lamp in the third period for the Saints, who improved to (8-5-0) on the season.

Delta Hockey Academy Black (4) at Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (10) U15 Prep

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy scored 10 goals on 44 shots to defeat Delta Hockey Academy Black on Saturday. Noah Kosick (6A) had six assists, Jace McFaul (3G,2A) registered a hat-trick and added two helpers, and Colton Alain (2G,3A) had a five-point game for PCHA. Chayse Johnson (8-2-0) made 20 saves for his eighth win of the season, and has picked up a win in eight of his last nine starts.

St. George’s School (2) at BWC Academy (4) U15

BWC Academy improved to (14-2-1-0) on the season, doubling up St.George’s on the scoreboard while out-shooting them 53-26. The game was scoreless heading into the third period when Kai Anderson (3:28), Jaiven Mann (5:02) and Gianni Bosa (9:42) all scored to give BWC Academy a 3-0 lead. St.George’s responded with a powerplay goal from Sachin Sidhu (12:36) and then Sam Auld scored in the final minute (19:24) to bring the Saints within one, but Josh Lee stifled any comeback hopes, scoring the insurance marker 15 seconds later (19:39) to put the game out of reach.Ìý

BWC Academy (4) at West Van Academy (0) U16 Prep

Rolan Amin (2G) scored a pair of goals in the second period, then Carter Andrews and Keiran Wilkie (EN) scored in the third period for BWC Academy, who won their seventh game of the season. Jovin Manhas (3-4-0) made 33 saves for his third win of the season, and has shutouts in back-to-back starts between the pipes.

Scotiabank Showcase Okanagan Hockey Academy (4 SO) at Edge School (3) U15

Cruz Pavao opened the scoring and Owen Cooper (2G) added a pair of goals for Edge, while Kadyn O’Brien, Keegan Sanders and Alex Garagan all tallied for Okanagan Hockey Academy. A shootout was needed to determine a winner, where the fifth shooter for OHA, Blake Riley, scored to seal it. Micah Davidson (4-2-0-1) made 27 saves in regulation, and shut the door on the last four Edge shooters in the shootout, to pick up his fourth win in net.Ìý

West Van Academy at Okanagan Hockey Academy U18 Prep (POSTPONED)

West Van Academy (0) at BWC Academy (7) U15 Prep

West Van Academy (0-13-0) is still in search of their first win, while BWC Academy (12-2-0-2) picked up their 12th win of the season on Saturday. Benjamin Kindel (3G,2A) had a hat-trick and two assists, Ashton Beriana (2G,3A) scored a pair and added three helpers, and Daniel Morozov (1G,4A) had a five-point night for BWC Academy. Jack Bakker is credited with the game-winning goal, opening the scoring with his 20th goal of the season, and Noah Sinagowitz (5-0-0-1) recorded his second shutout and fifth win in net.
