Former Edge School coach Josh Gosling has been named the University of Calgary Dinos women鈥檚 hockey head coach for the 2024/25 season.
Gosling was the interim head coach during the 2023/24 season after another former Edge coach, Carla MacLeod, stepped down from her head coaching role with the Dino’s to take on the role of head coach in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) with Team Ottawa.
This season Gosling led the Dino’s to a 10-10-2 record as interim head coach, winning nine of their final 14 regular season games to secure the fifth seed in the Canada West Playoffs. Calgary would then defeat the Saskatchewan Huskies on the road in the conference quarter-final, overcoming a Game 1 loss, to clinch their first post-season series victory since 2015.
Having spent five seasons with Edge coaching in the 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) U17 Prep division, Gosling is the seventh head coach in Dino’s history.听 In his time at Edge Gosling posted a record of 60W-42L-7OTL-1T.
