Former CSSHL student-athlete Kolby Hay has signed an ECHL Contract with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits.
Hay joined Yale Hockey Academy for the 2018/19 U15 Prep season going 11-8-0 with a 2.89GAA and .891SV%. He would go 4-1-0 in playoffs to lead Yale to a 2019 CSSHL U15 Prep Western Championship. At the conclusion of the season the Edmonton Oil Kings would select the Kamloops, BC netminder in the third round, 62nd overall at the 2019 WHL Draft.
Hay would return to Yale for the 2019/20 U15 Prep season playing 18 games and posting a 3.47GAA and .897SV%. The following season he would join the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) U18 Prep team going 3-0-0 with a 1.00GAA and .965SV%.
In 2021/22 Hay would join the Oil Kings fill time, spending three full seasons with the club. He would record a 44-59-4 record with a 4.06GAA, .881SV% and 2 shutouts in 124 games while winning a WHL Championship with the team in 2021/22.
Hay began the 2024/25 season with the Oil Kings, playing one game with the team.
