The Kamloops Blazers have hired Yale Hockey Academy鈥檚 Mark Holick as an Associate Coach for the 2021/22 Western Hockey League (WHL) season.
Holick has spent the past three seasons in the 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) coaching the Yale U18 Prep team.
Prior to his time at Yale he coached in the AHL, AJHL, BCHL, and WHL, beginning his coaching career in 1994/95. In 1997/98 he led the South Surrey Eagles RBC Cup Championship and was named BCHL Coach of the Year the following season.
In 2003/04 he was the head coach of Canada Pacific at the World Under 17 Championships, bringing home a silver medal.
A brief stint in Europe would see him capture an Italian Supercup Championship in 2016/17 with Pustertal/Val Pusteria.
The Penticton, BC native was originally a 11th round pick by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. He spent four seasons in the WHL before joining the Humboldt Broncos in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL), tallying 109 points in 60 games as the team would win a SJHL Championship in 1988/89.
