Okotoks Oilers forward Brandon Machado has committed to Royal Military College for the 2021/22 season.
Machado spent the last season and a half in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) with the Oilers, after previously playing in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Saskatoon Blades and Swift Current Broncos.
A fifth-round pick by the Blades in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft, Machado recorded 11 points in 129 WHL games, and 29 points in 38 AJHL games.
Before making the jump to junior the Airdrie, AB native spent one season with Edge School鈥檚 U16 Prep team in 2015/16. His 52 assists and 78 points were best among all Canadian Sports School Hockey League (CSSHL) U16 Prep skaters as he earned division MVP honours.
