OHA Edmonton netminder Cooper Michaluk has signed a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement (SPA) with the Spokane Chiefs.
Michaluk has spent the past three seasons in the 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL), joining OHA Edmonton at the U15 Prep level in 2019/20. In 14 games that season the Sherwood Park, AB goalie posted a 4.33 Goals Against Average (GAA) and .872 Save Percentage (SV%). Following the 2019/20 season, the Chiefs would select Michaluk in the sixth round, 119th overall in the 2020 WHL Draft.
He would return to OHA Edmonton for the 2020/21 season, posting a 3.50 GAA and .879 SV% in two games at the U16 Prep level. This season Michaluk has a 3.57 GAA and .895 SV% in 14 U18 Prep games with OHA Edmonton.
Michaluk made his WHL debut with the Chiefs on February 9, making 5 saves on 7 shots in 9:28 of relief time.
