RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg student-athlete Layne Schofield has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Victoria Royals.
The LaSalle, MB forward joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2022/23 U15 Prep season. In 27 games he had 7 goals and 10 assists. This past season Schofield had 23 points in 27 U17 Prep games with RHA Winnipeg.
Schofield was undrafted to the WHL but was selected first overall by the Winkler Flyers at the 2024 Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) Draft.
