PENTICTON, BC – A 25-save performance from Aaron Trotter (Victoria, BC) helped guide Shawnigan Lake School to a 4-0 win over the Prairie Hockey Academy as they captured the 2019 CSSHL Midget Varsity Division Championship.

The win makes it back-to-back Midget Varsity championships for Shawnigan Lake and four in the past five seasons.

Nicholas Winchester (Hong Kong) got the scoring going 5:10 into the first period, while Ryhs Dutcyvich (Port McNeil, BC) and Alex Robins (Calgary, AB) added second period tallies.

Riley Billy (Campbell River, BC) would seal the deal with an empty-netter in the final minutes of the game.

Josh Warkentin (Davidson, SK) made 21 saves between the pipes for Prairie.
