The Vancouver Canucks have hired former West Van Academy and BWC Academy coach Jason Krog as a Skating and Skills Coach ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Krog will work with in the Canucks organization both in Vancouver, and with their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate in Abbotsford.
A veteran of over 200 NHL games, Krog joined West Van Academy, now the North Shore Warriors, as head coach of their U15 team for the 2019/20 season. That season he would lead West Van to a 28-2-0 record and their second straight CSSHL U15 Western Championship.
He would join BWC Academy for three seasons at the U15 and U15 Prep level, working in both the head coach and assistant coach role. This past season, while still with BWC Academy, he would join Simon Fraser University of the BCIHL as a Hockey Advisor.
Krog replaces former CSSHL coach Yogi Svejkovsky, who was promoted by the Canucks to an Assistant Coach role last week.听
