The Vancouver Canucks have promoted former 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) coach Yogi Svejkovsky to assistant coach ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Svejkovskyoined the Canucks organization in 2021/22 as a Skills Coach with their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks. He would spend the 2022/23 and 2023/24 season as a Skills Coach with the Canucks.
A veteran of 113 NHL games and 70 in the AHL, Svejkovsky joined Delta Hockey Academy as head coach in 2015/16 at the U15 Prep level. He would spend the 2016/17 season with the Delta Elite 15s (U16 Prep) as head coach before joining St. George’s for two seasons as a head coach and Head of Hockey Operations.
Svejkovsky would return to Delta in 2019/20 as their Lead Skills Coach & Director of Development as well as coaching their U17 Prep travel team. He would retain the same roles in 2020/21. After joining the Canucks in 2021/22, Svejkovsky has spent the past three seasons as a Guest Skills Coach with Delta.
Svejkovsky started his coaching career in 2006/07 as an assistant coach with the Vancouver Giants in the Western Hockey League (WHL). He would transition into a skills coach for two seasons with the Giants, the last of which was his first year at Delta.
