Notre Dame Red (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme White (7) U17 Prep
Reese Hicks (3G) scored twice in the opening period and Brady Whitehead (1G, 1A) added his ninth of the season as NAX White led 3-0. Jackson Roberts (1G, 2A) extended the lead before Hicks completed the hat-trick in the second. Kasen Harold (1G, 1A) added an early third period power play marker before Kohl Stephen ended the Taylor Raynard (17/18) shutout bid with 8:23 remaining. Tristen Bailey scored with 53 seconds left to put the game well out of reach.听
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (13) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) U15 Prep
Defenseman Graeme Pickering (1G, 4A) led all skaters with five points, Anthony Bedard (3G) and Isaac Sousa (3G) each recorded hat-tricks and Spencer Kuntz (4A) added four assists as RHA Winnipeg defeated PMHA 12-1. Cole Landreville scored a power play goal late in the first period to end the Hudson Hunnie (14/15) shutout dream.听
North Shore Warriors (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy (2) U15
Colton Brum (2G) scored his ninth of the season to give Delta a 1-0 lead 2:05 in. Conor Nicolson tied the game 4:21 later with his 13th of the year. Brum would score the eventual game winner 51 seconds into the second as Quinn Coupland (36/37) made 36 saves, carrying Delta to a 2-1 win. Owen Hurlbut (30/32) was in net for the loss. Nicolas Peach (2A) assisted on both Delta goals.听
Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) vs Edge School (3) U18 Prep
After a scoreless first, Nate Crashley opened the scoring 1:06 into the second period. Torretto Marrelli (2G) would counter with two second period goals to give NAX the lead. Daxon Rudolph (1G, 1A) and Presley Kerner (1G, 1A) extended the lead in the third but Edge made a late comeback push with goals from Logan Murray and Cruz Pavao (1G, 1A) but Jordan Switzer (29/32) secured the NAX win. Preston Patenaude (16/20) was in net for the loss.听
OHA Edmonton (4) vs Edge School (14) U15 Prep
All but three Edge skaters recorded a point as Edge defeated OHA Edmonton 14-4. Adam Halat (1G, 5A) and Aden Bouchard (1G, 4A) led the way offensively for Edge. Cash Brebant (1G, 2A) and Keenan Fox (2G, 1A) recorded three points in the loss.
Edge School (7) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) Female U18 Prep
Alexis Ehrman (15/17) made 15 saves as Edge defeated PMHA 7-2. Shannon Pearson (3G) led the Edge offence with a hat-trick. Marin Jugnauth (1G, 1A), Jennifer Keller (1G, 1A), April Klarenbach (1G, 1A) and Avaya McCann scored the other Edge goals. Ashlyn Kuffler and Sheigh Siemens scored for PMHA in the loss.听
North Shore Warriors (7) vs Shawnigan Lake School (1) U15 Prep
Matthew Morris opened the scoring as Shawnigan led 1-0 4:03 in. Lucas Lekakis (2G, 3A) tied the game 1:40 later to kick start a seven goal run for North Shore as they defeated SLS 7-1. Peter Banicevic (2G, 2A) and Chase Vossenaar (2G) each scored twice while Sean Murphy (4A) added four assists. Elias Mitrikas (24/25) made 24 saves to earn the win.听
St. George’s School (4) vs Yale Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep
Matthew Dowdall (1G, 1A) and Lucas Benn (1G, 1A) traded first period goals. Ryker Swanson and Jayden Oleskiw (1G, 1A) gave Yale a 3-1 lead just 4:27 into the second. Isaac Derksen (2G, 1A) brought St. George鈥檚 within one heading into the third. Harshaan Kaila tied the game 6:08 into the third and Derksen scored his second of the game to complete the comeback and give St. George鈥檚 a 4-3 win. Kyle Taylor (31/34) and Carson Lang (40/44) were in net for their respective teams.听
OHA Edmonton (2) vs Edge School Gold (11) U17 Prep
Dallin Antos (2G, 2A) and AJ Tarnowski (2G, 1A) each scored twice and Ethan Elefante (1G, 4A) led all skaters with five points as Edge Gold defeated OHA Edmonton 11-2. Rylan Davis and Easton Letourneau were the lone OHA Edmonton skaters to beat Brody Rotar (18/20).听
South Alberta Hockey Academy (3/SO) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (2) Female U18 Prep
A majority of the scoring would take place in the second which SAHA would eventually leave on top after Jaylee Skog capitalised on the powerplay late in the frame. RHA Winnipeg would get one back in the third thanks to Camille Birch on an end-to-end rush. This spectacular goal would force overtime and a shootout. Keira Grant would step up to the plate as SAHA鈥檚 first shooter and went five-hole for the eventual winner. Tayler Cohen (30/32) turned aside all three RHA Winnipeg shooters.听
Northern Alberta Xtreme (9) vs OHA Edmonton (2) U15
Ahmad Fayad (3G, 2A) took control of the helm for NAX in this outing, scoring twice in 19-seconds before completing the hat-trick later in the third. Corbin Dunphy (2G) also added a pair while Luka Samu (3A) and Teagan Bouchard (1G, 3A) provided three helpers each. Cohenn Rotar and Micah Montgomery scored the lone two for OHA Edmonton while Taylor Green (65/74) steered away 65-shots in the loss.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (5/OT) vs St. Mary’s Academy (4) Female U18 Prep
Mia Faseruk (1G, 1A) got the afternoon kicked off with the opening tally. NAX would reply in the second with two of their own including one from Megan Dolynchuk who has now recorded a goal in three straight contests. The scoring would open up in the final frame. Mayson Matterdorfer added to NAX鈥檚 lead early, but St. Mary鈥檚 would claw back with two straight in only 2:11. Madison Berven (1G, 1A) chipped in another for NAX but St. Mary鈥檚 Addison Kartusch (1G, 2A) would force overtime after scoring with 29-seconds left on the clock. Momentum would sway in overtime but the dagger was eventually scored by Kendra Shumaker (1G, 1A) to give NAX the victory.
Prairie Hockey Academy (0) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (9) U15 Prep
Blake Chorney (3G, 2A) highlighted a 5-point performance with two shorthanded goals scored on the same penalty kill. Five other NAX skaters would post multi-point outings while Cam Hoose (13/13) picked up his third shutout of the season.
Bourget College (10) vs King Heights Academy (0) Eastern U18
Justin Barrette (3G, 2A) ran the show from the blueline Saturday evening, recording a hat-trick and five-points over King Heights Academy. Ian Burnett (4A) chipped in four assists in the meantime while Roey Vered walked away with the shutout in the commanding victory.
Coeur d鈥橝lene Hockey Academy (5) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (6/SO) U18 Prep
Wenatchee opened the scoring with two tallies back-to-back thanks to Brody Haas (1G, 1A) and Constantine Strategos. However, CDA would fire back with three unanswered before the end of the first frame. Wenatchee would strike back in the second with another pair early on but a late point shot from CJ Watson made its way through to keep the game all tied up. Entering the third, Paco Hodgson (1G, 2A) would score his first of the season on the powerplay to put Wenatchee up. However, disaster would strike for Charlie Keeffe (65/70) later in the frame after a 200 ft clearance from Ethan Kane found its way into the back of Wenatchee鈥檚 net forcing an overtime. Keeffe would stand tall after this error, forcing a shootout where he鈥檇 continue his dominance, stopping all three shooters in athletic fashion. Mikhail Levaniuk would throw in a changeup on his approach to the goal on his shootout attempt, proving successful and garnering Wenatchee their third win of the season. Despite the error, Keeffe made an astounding 65-saves in the win, keeping his team alive throughout this event.
North Shore Warriors (1) vs BWC Academy (0) U18 Prep
North Shore got everything started bright and early on their Teddy Bear Toss night, scoring just 1:49 into the game off of a Liam Payne breakaway. It鈥檚 crazy to believe that this would end up not only being the GWG, but the game鈥檚 only tally as well. Erik Powers clinched his first shutout of the season in the process while Preston Lewis also put on a good show in net for BWC Academy.
OHA Edmonton Black (3) vs Edge School Maroon (4) U17 Prep
Edge Maroon was able to get on the board early with two unanswered before Braydon Franks (1G, 2A) crammed home a rebound to cut that lead in half. Calum Giese (2G, 1A) would eventually tie it in the second for OHA Edmonton Black, leaving things open for a wild third. Edge Maroon would score yet another pair, including a highlight reel effort from Luca Dufour (1G, 2A). Giese would add another one late for OHA Edmonton Black, but it was too little too late. Adam Courchesne (31/34) made 31-saves in the effort for his third consecutive win between the pipes.听
Northern Alberta Xtreme Blue (5) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep
NAX Blue鈥檚 depth and spread out scoring was the key to their victory over CIHA. Only four NAX Blue skaters were left off of the scoresheet in Saturday鈥檚 victory. Mario DeMaria (1G, 1A) and Macklin Dobko (2A) were the only NAX Blue skaters to clinch multi-point efforts. NAX Blue was also able to fend off nine of CIHA鈥檚 ten powerplay opportunities. Edmonton Oil Kings prospect Parker Snell (25/28) was in between the pipes for this massive win over the division鈥檚 top team.
North Shore Warriors Orange (2) vs BWC Academy White (4) U17 Prep
Aiden Baker (2G) was the difference maker for BWC Academy White, opening up the scoring in the second and clinching the eventual game winner for his academy. Dane Svingen-Jones (1G, 1A) and Jonathan Ruus (1G, 1A) also chipped in two points each. Robert Orr (2G) scored the only two goals for NSW Orange while Logan McAloney (36/40) put up a solid performance in the loss.
Yale Hockey Academy (5) vs STAR Hockey Academy (4) U15
Lucas Ward (1G, 1A) got the ball rolling in the first, scoring the opening goal for Yale halfway through the first. Ronin Brunner (1G, 1A) would respond in the second to get STAR on the board but Yale鈥檚 offence would prevail from here on out. Kessler Hauser (2G, 1A) chipped in on Yale鈥檚 next three tallies. Adrian Afrakov (1G, 1A) and Sean McIntyre were able to stop the bleeding and give STAR a chance at the end of the second. Halfway through the third, George Gapeshin tied things up for STAR. However just 33-seconds later, Jaxen McFegan (1G, 1A) would put away the eventual game winner for Yale鈥檚 11th win of the campaign.
Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (5) vs Coeur d鈥橝lene Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep
Braden Boman (2G, 1A) and Cal Kellenberg (1G, 2A) led the way for Wenatchee en route to a commanding win over CDA. Nathaniel Madrigal walked away with the win between the pipes.
Notre Dame (4) vs Edge School (9) U15
After being down 4-0 early in the second, Edge School stormed back with vengeance. Charlie Tobin would get things started off after Cyril Herauf (1G, 1A) made it 4-0. This was followed up by another two tallies from Alex Han (1G, 1A) and Jacob Kuntz (1G, 2A) . Now only down only by a single goal, Edge applied the pressure in the third. Damien Lavallee (2G) scored 42-seconds to make things even, while Andrew Ragusa (1G, 2A) would add the go ahead goal. At this point, Edge School ran away with the score making that initial 4-0 deficit almost seem irrelevant.
