St. Mary’s Academy (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (2) Female U18 Prep

Paige Ring opened the scoring with the lone first period goal and Aylie Dahl scored her third of the season 4:05 into the second as NAX held a 2-0 lead. Maddie Kaiser would get St. Mary’s on the board late in the second to kick-start a comeback. Charlotte Buffie (1G, 1A) would tie the game early in the third and Julia Bilous would score with just two seconds left to give St. Mary’s the win. Jordyn Espenell stopped 25 shots in the win, while Erika Lind stopped 19/22 for NAX.

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6/SO) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) Female U18 Prep

After a scoreless first Sydney Haggart (1G, 1A) would score shorthanded and Kate Nechwediuk scored minutes later to give RHA Winnipeg a 2-0 lead. After a late second period goal by Maria Ayre (1G, 1A) brought NAX within one, Breigh Rank would score another shorthanded goal for RHA Winnipeg early in the third. NAX would battle back with goals from Larae Benoit and Kasey Ditner (2G) to tie the game at three. Hayden Arkle would score her first of the season with less that five minutes remaining before Molly Hamilton (1G, 1A) scored with 1:36 left to once again tie the game. But Morgan Settee would score just 27 seconds later as it looked like RHA Winnipeg had found a game winner. However, Ditner would tie the game with just 18 seconds remaining and force OT. OT would solve nothing and a shootout was required, where Inhye Jang (28/33) would stop all three NAX shooters and Haggart would beat Hyoseo Cheon (20/25) to give RHA Winnipeg the 6-5 win.

Northern Alberta Xtreme (6) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) Female U18 Prep

In their second game of the day on Tuesday NAX would outshoot PMHA 45-14 in a 6-2 win. NAX would score two shorthanded and two power play goals with Maria Ayre (1G, 1A), Kasey Ditner (1G, 1A) and Madison McCullough (1G, 1A) leading the offence. Erika Lind would stop 12 of 14 in net to pick up her third win of the season. Heidi Danners (1G, 1A) and Gracie Page scored for Pilot Mound, who got 39 stops in net from Anika Moroz.

RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (8) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep

RHA Winnipeg would score three unanswered first period markers before PMHA would respond early in the second. But RHA Winnipeg would score another five straight, before a late consolation marker by PMHA would see the game end 8-2. Zach Lansard (2G) scored twice while Sage Dela Cruz, Wyatt Kelman, Maddox Malmquist and Shea Rollason all had two assists for RHA Winnipeg. Ben Shearer (1G, 1A) led the way offensively for PMHA. Chase Charriere stopped 20 of 22 for the win.

Edge School (5) vs International Hockey Academy (1) U17 Prep

In the lone game Thursday Edge School outshot IHA 59-26 in a 5-1 win. Tyler Deakos (2G, 1A) opened the scoring 2:12 into the second to give Edge the initial lead. Cale Lavellee would tie the game 10 minutes later but Ben Binder-Nord (1G, 1A) would score just 12 seconds later to give Edge the lead again. An Adam M’Hamed goal with 1:40 left in the second would give Edge a two goal advantage heading into the third. Third period goals by Deakos and Nate Crashley (1G, 1A) would secure the Edge win. Gabe Bergeron stopped 25/26 to earn the win.
