Notre Dame (0) at Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) U18 Prep
Zackary Shantz (2A), Teydon Trembecky (2G), and Reid Varkonyi (2G,1A) continued their hot starts to the season as NAX improved 4-0-0 on the season. Logan Cunningham made 32 saves to earn his second win, and first shutout of the season for NAX. Cole Miller had two assists for NAX after being sent down by the Lethbridge Hurricanes earlier in the season. Oliver Tuchenhagen made 53 saves for Notre Dame in the loss.ÌýÌý
RINK Winnipeg (5) at Edge School (6/SO) U18 Prep
After a back and forth, high scoring game, defenseman Justin Kipkie scored for Edge with just one second left in the game to tie it at five. The game was still tied after overtime before Keifer Miller (2G,1A) and Ethan Neutens each scored in the shootout, and Jackson Unger (18 saves) stopped both RHA Winnipeg shooters. Dylan Kinch (1G,3A) and Ayden Peters (1G,2A) helped Miller pace the Edge offence. Luke Janus scored twice for RHA Winnipeg in the loss.Ìý
RINK Kelowna (2) at Delta Hockey Academy (7) U17 Prep
Delta continued their dominance of the U17 Prep division improving to 9-0-0 and increasing their goal differential to plus 66 on the season. Gavin Garland recorded a hat-trick and an assist giving him 24 points on the season. Jack Sears had a goal and three assists, as he sits at 16 points in 9 games. Parker MacDonald and Raydon Parkes scored for RHA Kelowna in the loss.Ìý
St. George’s (3) at Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (6) U15 Prep
Pacific Coast outshot St. George’s 47-25 on route to a 6-3 win. Pacific Coast continues to sit at the top of the U15 Prep division with a record of 5-1-1, eight points ahead of second place. The game entered the third period tied at three, before Jordan Ramsay (1G,2A) scored once, and Wyatt Danyleyko scored twice in the final 20. Chayse Johnson made 22 saves to earn his third win in four games, while Austin Ball made 41 saves in the loss.Ìý
Shawnigan Lake School (1) at RINK Kelowna (2) Female U18 Prep
Margaux Favre faced 23 shots, stopping 22 of them as RHA Kelowna defeated Shawnigan 2-1. Emma Elders and Mia Kenmore each beat Susanna Pilchak, who made 29 saves in the loss for Shawnigan. Abby Whitworth scored the lone Shawnigan goal, to tie the game in the third, but Kenmore’s fourth of the year 18 seconds later sealed the deal for RHA Kelowna.Ìý
Delta Hockey Academy Black (0) at BWC Academy (5) U15 Prep
Noah Sinagowitz made just 12 saves as he picked up the shutout in his first game of the season as BWC Academy defeated Delta Black 5-0. Jack Bakker scored three straight goals for BWC Academy to record a hat trick. Keeghan Dunn scored a goal and assisted on two more in the win. Ashton Thornton stopped 53 of the 58 shots he faced.Ìý
BWC Academy (5) at St. George’s (0) U15
Matthew Parmar made 32 saves as BWC Academy shutout St. George’s 5-0. Eric Tu made 53 saves in the loss but was beaten by Jonathan Lee (1G,1A), Dominic Seminoff (1G,1A), London Taylor (1G,1A) and Jack Tudhope (2G,2A).Ìý
Prairie Hockey Academy (4) at OHA Edmonton (1) U18 Prep
Beau Helmeczi, Caleb Lepitre and Cole Thomas all scored third period goals as Prairie defeated OHA Edmonton 4-1 to pick up their first win of the season, and first in program history at the U18 Prep level. OHA Edmonton outshot Prairie 30-24 but were only able to beat Rio Kroeker once, when Zane Saab found the back of the net 15:59 into the second period. Defenseman Ethan Kelly led all skaters with two assists.Ìý
South Alberta Hockey Academy (3) at International Hockey Academy (0) U18 Prep
Aiden Oiring (2G,1A) and Andrew Basha (3A) had a hand in all three SAHA goals and Brock Lott made 19 saves for his first shutout of the season. Defenseman Ephram McNutt added two assists in the win for SAHA, who improved to 3-2-0. Braxton Singleton made 41 saves in the loss for IHA.Ìý
Edge School (8) at Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep
Bryan Kim scored twice and Jesse Pope made 17 saves as Edge beat Pilot Mound 8-3. Jorin Kustermans scored half way through the opening period to give Pilot Mound a 1-0 lead. But Brendan Calahasen would score his ninth of the season to tie the game at one heading into period number two. Edge would score three goals in the second, and one early in the third, to give themselves a 5-1 lead. Ashton Gallagher (1G,1A) scored with four seconds left for his team leading 11th goal.Ìý
St. George’s (7) at Shawnigan Lake School (3) U17 Prep
Shawnigan outshot St. George’s 27-25 but fell 7-3 Sunday afternoon. St. George’s scored three second period goals before a wild seven goal third period took place. Luka Shcherbyna (2G) got the scoring started 8:54 into the second period, while Ben Sutton (2G) would score his second of the year to close out the period. Coco Armstrong scored twice for Shawnigan in the loss, bringing his goal total to six on the season.Ìý
BWC Academy (1) at Delta Hockey Academy (4) U16 Prep
Delta scored three unanswered third period goals as they beat BWC Academy 4-1. Brayden Burrows made 30 saves and defenseman Derek Thurston (1G,2A) led all skaters with three points. Daegun Chong had a goal and an assist for Delta, and Ryan Zhang scored the lone BWC Academy goal. Jovin Manhas made 24 saves for BWC Academy.Ìý
International Hockey Academy (3) at Prairie Hockey Academy (5) U17 Prep
Devun Olfert scored a natural hat trick as Prairie beat IHA 5-3. Olfert scored 12:08 into the second period to tie the game at three. He would score the eventual game winner with just 31 seconds remaining, and sealed the Prairie win with an empty net goal with just six second left. Prairie netminder Silas Currie was all over the game sheet, picking up an assist, a penalty and making 28 saves to keep his record perfect at 2-0-0. Kayden Big Plume scored twice for IHA and Mason Cottreau stopped 28 of 32.Ìý
Bourget U17 (7) at Ontario Hockey Academy (1) U17 Eastern
Max Otto Helmke scored 1:42 into the game for OHA but Bourget would respond with seven unanswered goals to claim a 7-1 win. Teddy Ecker made 27 saves for Bourget who got goals from Rafael Cloutier (1G,1A), Bradley Mills (2G,1A), Marc-Antoine Riopel (3G) and Alex Roy. Defenseman Ethan Albert (2A) and forward Adam Belzil (3A) helped contribute to the offensive outburst for Bourget. Alexis Sabourin made 35 saves for Ontario Hockey Academy.Ìý
West Van Academy (3) at Okanagan (6) U16 Prep
Connor Vogt registered a hat-trick, scoring a goal in every period for Okanagan Hockey Academy, including the game-winner. Stein Dostal added a pair of goals for OHA in the second period, picking up his third multipoint game this season and Zachary Garnett made 26 saves for his second win (2-1-1).Ìý
Okanagan (1) at Yale Hockey Academy (5) U15 Prep
Mathis Preston scored his fifth goal of the season to tie the game 1-1 in the first period for Okanagan Hockey Academy, but Yale Hockey Academy responded with four unanswered in the final two periods to put the game out of reach. Will Sharpe (1G,2A) and Grant Reid (1G,2A) had three points each, and both Tommy Lafreniere and Savin Virk had two-assist games. Aiden Eskit (3-0-0) made 39 saves for the win and has allowed just one goal against in each of his last two starts.
West Van Academy (4) at Shawnigan Lake School (9) U15 Prep
Four goals in the second period swayed the game in Shawnigan Lake School’s favour, as Eliot Compton (2G,3A) led the way offensively registering five points. Cole Meckelberg (1G,2A) and Eli McKamey (3A) chipped in with three-point performances of their own, and Jackson Rauh (2G,2A) scored the go-ahead goal at 12:15 of the second period to help Shawnigan (1-1-0)Ìý pick up their first win of the season.Ìý
Okanagan (2)Ìý at RINK Kelowna (7) U15
Blake Riley scored 38-seconds into the game for Okanagan Hockey Academy, and scored again later in the game, just 18-seconds into the third period, but that was all the offense for OHA. Seven different skaters scored goals for RINK Kelowna, including Preston Kelly-Paquet (1G,2A), Owen Downey (1G,1A), Ollie Reid (1G,1A), Ethan Kungle (1G,1A) and Cruz Waltze (1G,1A) who all had mutli-point nights.Ìý
Shawnigan Lake School (3) at BWC Academy (5) U18 Prep
Shawnigan Lake School had the lead heading into the third period after back-to-back goals by Marcello Giorgi (2G), and a power-play marker from Nolan Winchester.Ìý BWC Academy responded in the final period, however, scoring three unanswered goals. Ryden Evers scored his fourth goal of the season (7:40) to tie the game 3-3, then Luca Primerano (2G) netted the go-ahead goal (12:25) and added another tally late (19:48) to complete the comeback.Ìý
Okanagan (0) at Yale Hockey Academy (3) U18 Prep
Nolan Viesner recorded a natural hat-trick, scoring all three goals for Yale Hockey Academy against Okanagan Hockey Academy. Logan Wormald (3A) assisted on all three goals, as did Jordan Keller (3A) who extended his point-streak, having scored nine points (1G, 8A) in five games for YHA. Brady Smith (3-0-0) stopped all 19 shots he faced in net to record the shutout.
Bourget (5) U18 at Ontario Hockey Academy (3) U18 Eastern
Émile Tremblay (3G,1A) now has 15 points in seven games (9G,6A) for Bourget, after recording a hat-trick and adding an assist against OHA. Zachary Cyrenne has registered at least a point in every game he’s played this season, adding two assists in the game to extended his scoring streak to seven games (4G,8A). Jordan Waite (1G,1A)Ìý found the back of the net at 12:54 of the second period, recording his second game-winning goal of the season for Bourget.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (5) at Delta Hockey Academy (1) U18 Prep
Daniel Zhou scored his first goal of the season to put Delta Hockey Academy up 1-0 after twenty minutes of play, but Pacific Coast Hockey Academy answered back in the second, when Nathan Gossoo (1G,1A) found the back of the net to tie the game. PCHA would take the lead early in the third period on a goal from Sebastian Golla just 46-seconds into the period, and would add to the lead at 4:10, off the stick of Tyson Hentschel. Ryan Comisky (2G) deposited a pair of goals late, one into the empty net, to seal the deal for PCHA.Ìý
