Indigenous Sports Academy (4) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (3) U17 Prep
Everett Horrocks and Armaan Punn each scored their first of the season as Wenatchee led 2-0 early in the second. Phoenix Evans (2G, 1A) would get ISA on the board late in the second and Tayvian Delorme would score 40 seconds into the third to tie it. Evans would score on the power play to give ISA the lead but a Cal Kellenberg goal tied the game. Rowan Albert (1G, 1A) would score unassisted with 3:06 remaining to secure an ISA victory.听
Notre Dame (5) vs Coeur d鈥橝lene Hockey Academy (7) U17 Prep
CJ Watson (2G, 3A) paced the CDA offence with five points and Austin Neill (42/47) made 42 saves as CDA defeated Notre Dame 7-5. Liam McCloy (2G, 2A) did the majority of the heavy lifting for Notre Dame, tallying four points. Sam Koester (37/44) was in net for his team in the loss.听
South Alberta Hockey Academy (6) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (0) U17 Prep
Steven Wawryk (25/25) made 25 saves to earn the shutout and Kingston Chisholm (1G, 2A) and Ty Hynes (1G, 2A) tallied three points as SAHA defeated OHA Black 6-0. Charlie Peppinck (34/40) made 34 saves in the loss.听
OHA Edmonton (5) vs North Shore Warriors (3) U17 Prep
Kadin Bilajbegovic opened the scoring 38 seconds in and Jack Pettipas (1G, 1A) gave OHA Edmonton an early 2-0 lead. Noah Friskie (2G, 1A) would get NSW on the board with four seconds remaining in the period. After a scoreless second, Cale Chimera (1G, 1A) and Ryder Naim (1G, 1A) would both find the back of the net for OHA Edmonton before Nigel Ramlu (1G, 1A) brought North Shore back within two. Easton Letourneau (1G, 1A) and Friskie would trade goals to end the game as OHA Edmonton came away with a 5-3 victory.听
Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) vs Fairmont Hockey (8) U17 Prep
Fairmont stayed unbeaten on the weekend with an 8-3 win over RHA Winnipeg Saturday. John McDaniel (2G, 2A) and Owen Parks (2G, 2A) each had four point afternoons and Asher Wold (32/35) made 32 saves in net for the win. Aiden Jacobson, Ridley Ringor and Gavin Quennelle scored for RHA Winnipeg in the loss.听
Delta Hockey Academy Black (6/OT) vs Notre Dame Red (5) U17 Prep
Lukas Kurtz and Drezden Bertsch (1G, 3A) scored early for Delta Black but late first period goals by Jacob Carroll (2G) and Lewis Brown saw the game tied after 20. Nicholas Campbell (2G) and Dylan Duquette (1G, 2A) would each score in the second as Delta re-gained their two goal lead. Ben Bugeaud (1G, 2A) and Ryan Black (1G, 1A) traded early third period goals before Carroll and Carson Hiebert responded for Notre Dame as they once again came from behind to force overtime. In OT it took Campbell just 17 seconds to score a power play winner for Delta Black.听
Delta Hockey Academy Green (6) vs North Shore Warriors (2)听 Female U18 Prep
Delta Green outshot North Shore 41-13 en route to a 6-2 win Saturday. Molly Cole (2G, 1A) and Mackenzie Galick (2G, 1A) each scored twice while Mikayla Totten (3A) added on three assists for Delta Green. Jillian Matthews (11/13) and Amy McLeod (35/41) were in net for their respective teams.听
St. Mary’s Academy (3) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) Female U18 Prep
Carys Wytinck opened the scoring for PMHA but St. Mary鈥檚 would respond with three unanswered as Reese Kartusch tied the game in the first and Mia Faseruk (1G, 1A) and Camryn Fallon scored second period goals. Keyauna Robinson-Prefontaine (23/24) made 23 saves in net for St. Mary鈥檚 to secure the win. Brooklynn Adams (38/41) was charged with the loss.听
Northern Alberta Xtreme White (6) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy White (0) U17 Prep
NAX White fired 76 shots at Leo Brosseau (70/76), beating him 6 times. Gavin Faul (2G) scored twice and Reese Hicks (1G, 2A) led all skaters with three points. Ty Swanson (8/8) was credited with the shutout.听
Coeur d鈥橝lene Hockey Academy Navy (4) vs OHA Edmonton Black (8) U17 Prep
Callum Campbell (3G) recorded a hat-trick and Casen Vadori (3A) had three points of his own as OHA Edmonton Black defeated CDA Navy 8-4. Sebastian Grigore (2G), Michael Veneziano (2A), and Brady Wilson (2A) were the top point contributors for CDA Navy in the loss.听
St. George’s School (1) vs Edge School Gold (6) U17 Prep
Holden Murphy (30/31) made 30 saves to backstop Edge Gold to a 6-1 win over St. George鈥檚. AJ Tarnowski (3A) led all skaters with three points and Hudson Getzlaf (2G) scored twice in the win. Sachin Sidhu scored the lone St. George鈥檚 goal in the loss.听
Delta Hockey Academy Black (1) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (19) Female U18 Prep
All but 1 RHA Kelowna skater recorded at least a single point as they defeated Delta Black 19-1. Defenseman Chloe Primerano (4G, 1A) and forward Callie Rice (1G, 4A) had five points each in the win.听
Edge School Maroon (12) vs North Shore Warriors Orange (0) U17 Prep
Carter Voll (3G, 1A) recorded a hat-trick and Sebastian Conne-Correnti (2G, 4A) had a six point game as Edge Maroon defeated NSW Orange 12-0. Adam Courchesne (19/19) made 19 saves and had an assist in the shutout victory.听
Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (5) U18 Prep
Trip Jensen and Brayden Ryan-Mackay (3G) scored within the first 10 minutes as SAHA led 2-0 after 20. Jaxen Adam (1G, 1A) and Michiel Leenders would respond for CIHA in the second but a Kolby Gapter goal kept SAHA on top. Ryan-Mackay would score to start the second before Scott Sandilands brought CIHA back within one. But Ryan-Mackay would add his third of the game late to secure a SAHA win.听
Prairie Hockey Academy Blue (3) vs BWC Academy White (8) U17 Prep
BWC Academy White would get two goals a piece from Nic Collins (2G, 1A) and Oleksii Zhekov (2G, 1A) to propel them to an 8-3 win over PHA Blue Saturday. Dane Svingen-Jones (1G, 2A) would chip in with three points of his own and Jeevin Sandhu (21/24) made 21 saves for the win. Brady Robert (32/40) made 32 saves in defeat.听
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) vs Wenatchee Wild Hockey Academy (0) U18 Prep
A strong first period was all RHA Kelowna would need to muster out a win across the border in Wenatchee on Saturday. Cameron Norrie (1G, 1A) would open the scoring 4:58 into the game before Cage Smith (1G, A), Keaton Verhoeff (1G), and Maddox Gandha (1G, 1A) would score the rest of the game鈥檚 tallies. Elijah Henson (25/25) walked away with the shutout while Carson Fowler (55/59) put up an incredible fight.
St. George’s School (10/OT) vs North Shore Warriors (9) U18 Prep
Neither team gave up their hopes during this emotional affair. Connor Pankratz (4G, 1A) opened the scoring just 0:22 in but Shane Purves (4G, 2A) would net a hat-trick in the first period to establish a 4-2 lead after 20-minutes. Pankratz would complete his hat-trick early into the second period and would spark a chain of four unanswered goals for St. George鈥檚. Purves would score early in the third to jump-start a five goal chain for NSW, giving them a 9-6 lead with 11:23 on the clock. Heroically, Pankratz would score with 6:59 remaining to swing momentum St. George鈥檚 way, allowing Ethan Riml (1G, 1A) and Jussi Saarni (1G, 2A) to give their team a chance in overtime. Simon Ward (1G, 3A) would net the winner with a laser off of the left-wing, securing one of the better comebacks we may see this season.
Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna Black (2) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme Blue (4) U17 Prep
RHA Kelowna Black and NAX Blue kept it a close rally for the greater part of 40-minutes on Saturday. It wasn鈥檛 until the latter half of the third period where NAX would catch a break with a powerplay and Riley Thorpe (1G, 1A) would net his second of the year to give NAX the outright lead. A quick insurance marker from Liam Eisnor (1G, 1A) would be the cherry on top as NAX took home the win.听
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (4) vs Rink Hockey Academy Kelowna Red (3) U17 Prep
Brayden Westman would get RHA Kelowna Red on the board in the first period off of a rebound in close. However, Pilot Mound would get the early jump in the second with a goalmouth cleanup from Jack Perrier and a razzle-dazzle from Carson Carels (1G, 2A). Moose Jaw Warriors prospect Benson Hirst (2G) would blast home two more for Pilot Mound en route to a win over RHA Kelowna Red.
Yale Hockey Academy (6) vs Delta Hockey Academy Green (4) U17 Prep
Despite a strong second period effort from Delta Green, it wasn鈥檛 enough to surmount the undefeated Yale Hockey Academy Saturday afternoon. Zennon Turnovitski (2G, 2A) would command the game from the blueline with a four-point effort while Kyounghun Oh (1G, 1A) produced from the backend as well. Max Malinousky (1G, 2A) would put in a performance for Delta Green, coming just short of toppling one of the division鈥檚 best.
Ulysse Academie (6) vs CIH Academy White (0) Eastern U18
Jeremy Lamothe (2G, 1A) and Timothy Roch (1G, 2A) were the two offensive juggernauts for Ulysse Academie in Saturday鈥檚 lone Eastern division matchup. Sebastiano Moroni (46/52) would make 21-saves in the first period, keeping the game at a 0-0 draw through 20-minutes. Ulysse Academie would later go on to score three goals a piece in the second and third en route to victory over CIH White.听
Delta Hockey Academy (5) vs BWC Academy (1) U15
Jack Utsunomiya (30/31) was the difference maker in Delta鈥檚 win over BWC Academy in U15 action Saturday, holding them at bay after surrendering only one in the first period. The trio of Yianni Sergiannidis (2G), Ethan Kitchen (1G, 1A) and Nicolas Peach (1G, 1A) would lead the way offensively as Utsunomiya locked down the crease for the routine victory.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (0) vs St. George’s School (4) U15
St. George鈥檚 would bury three in the first period to ensure a victory over PCHA. Brayden loh (2A) and Zach Lam (2A) would provide two helpers a piece while Joffrey Chan (47/47) would hold down the fort in an impressive shutout performance.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy Blue (3/SO) vs Prairie Hockey Academy White (2) U17 Prep
An early powerplay marker from Owen Hentschel and a tally from Elliott Hill 27-seconds later would build an early two goal lead for PCHA Blue. However, PHA White would sustain notable pressure over the next two periods ultimately evening things up with 4:24 left on the clock thanks to the stick of Mason Smith. Braxton Becker (38/40) would make seven key saves in overtime for PCHA and another five in the eventual shootout where after six rounds Jack MacMillan would beat Georgi Milanov (33/35) for the win.
BWC Academy Gold (9) vs Shawnigan Lake School (3) U17 Prep
BWC Academy was led by a historical performance by Colton Gerrior (5G, 2A) after posting seven primary points, including five goals against Shawnigan Lake. Gerrior would score three beautiful goals in the first period before adding one more in the second and third. Defenceman Kai Anderson (1G, 3A) would support Gerrior on this offensive display while Korbin Rodel (31/34) held down the crease.
Calgary International Hockey Academy (5) vs Okanagan Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep
Seattle Thunderbirds prospect Brendan Rudolph (2G) would open the scoring with his 7th of the season while Zee Jamal and Calder Hutt (1G, 1A) would follow in suit to establish an early lead for CIHA. Kadyn O鈥橞rien would rally back for OHA with his 1st of the season but CIHA would come back swinging in the third with another two markers to ensure the win.
Delta Hockey Academy (2) vs BWC Academy (1) U18 Prep
In this low scoring affair, Delta鈥檚 Nikolas Kovich (2G) would open and close the game鈥檚 scoring as Ryan Lin (2A) and Jovan Sandhu (2A) would both chip in on each of those markers. Daniel Morozov would score BWC Academy鈥檚 lone goal on the powerplay in the second, but recently signed Tri-City Americans prospect Armaan Kaila (27/28) would keep BWC Academy at bay, killing their next two powerplays in the third period.
