Mount Academy U17 (2) vs Ulysse Academie U17 (3/SO) Eastern U17
Mount led 1:18 into the game as Henri Colin David Frenette (1G, 1A) scored his fourth goal of the season. Ulysse tied the game 3:49 into the second when Alexis Boyer scored his first goal of the year. Gavin Hodgins restored the Mount lead early in the third but Ezekiel Lambert struck late to push the game into OT. After overtime solved nothing William Ethier (25/27) stopped all three Mount shooters and Elijah Kabongo beat Dylan St-Onge (38/40) in the second round to give Ulysse the 3-2 shootout win.听
Fort Erie International Academy U17 (0) vs Bishop’s College School (6) U17 Eastern U17
Nate Ostridge, Gavin Rusenstrom (1G, 1A), Taitt Dobbin (1G, 1A), Dominic Schnarr (1G, 2A), Emanuel Di Paolo (1G, 1A) and Adam Straka scored for Bishop鈥檚 as they defeated FEIA 6-0 Sunday. Felix-Antoine Emond (21/21) made 21 saves to record his first shutout and second win of the season.听听
Stanstead College U17 (2) vs Champions Hockey Academy U17 (3/SO) Eastern U17
A power play goal from Jackson Shaddick (2G) gave Champions Hockey Academy a 1-0 first period lead. Matteo Paradis scored 1:16 into the second period to tie the game heading into the third. Shaddick scored his second goal of the game to put Champions back on top early in the final period. But Dylan Pelletier tied the game with 1:06 left to play. After OT solved nothing, Scott Leblanc (34/36) stopped all three Stanstead shooters and Shaddick remained the only skater to beat Gabriel Poitras (29/31) as Champions earned the 3-2 victory.听
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy Green (4) Female U18 Prep
Mikayla Totten and Emelia McDermid traded goals within the opening five minutes of the game. Haylee Lee and Ellie Chou scored in the second as Delta Green took a 3-1 lead into the third. Chloe Primerano scored her 30th of the season to bring RHA Kelowna within one midway through the third but Molly Cole (1G, 1A) scored shorthanded 2:21 later and Jillian Matthews (44/46) made an impressive 44 saves as Delta Green beat RHA Kelowna for the second time this weekend.听
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (8) U15 Prep
Tyrie Ehrenberg (2G, 2A) and Harry Mattern (4A) paced the NAX offence with four points each as they defeated RHA Winnipeg 8-1. Gavin Harrison (2G, 1A) had two goals while Jaggar John (2A) and Madden Woo (2A) each had two assists. Oliver Campbell scored the lone RHA Winnipeg goal.听
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) vs Prairie Hockey Academy White (3) U17 Prep
Kale Pratte (1G, 2A) opened the scoring for PHA White with his 14th goal of the season. Ryland Molde quickly extended the lead less than three minutes later with his second of the year. A late first period power play goal by Dylan Line brought PMHA within one heading into the middle frame. Rylan Emigh scored the eventual game winner 9:36 into the second as PHA White grabbed a 3-1 lead. Another power play goal by PMHA, this time from Carson Carels, brought them within one but they were unable to beat Georgi Milanov (26/28) again to tie the game. Kyle Beilman (42/45) made 42 saves in the loss.听
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) vs Notre Dame (3) U15 Prep
Maddox Ramage and Riley Brown each scored their ninth goals of the season as the game was tied after the first. Will Parsons gave Notre Dame a 2-1 second period lead before Kolby Cooper鈥檚 first goal of the season once again tied the game. Ethan Fitzpatrick scored on the power play with 5:08 left and Kurtis Stajkowski (31/33) made 31 saves as Notre Dame defeated PMHA 3-2. Gavin Hildebrand (35/38) made 35 saves in the loss.听
South Alberta Hockey Academy (4) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) U18 Prep
A hectic first period saw Cooper Labelle, Tate Dolinsky and Remy Hlady score for RHA Winnipeg while Josiah Jackson (2G, 2A) scored twice for SAHA. Landon Marleau (1G, 1A) tied the game early in the second and Brayden Ryan-Mackay scored the go-ahead goal 4:12 later as SAHA led 4-3 after 40. Marek Schlenker (33/36) made 20 saves in the third period as SAHA held on for a 4-3 win over RHA Winnipeg. Chase Furlong (36/40) made 36 saves in the loss.听
Edge School Gold (3) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (4/OT) U17 Prep
Ethan Elefante (2G) scored on the power play just 1:30 into the game as Edge Gold struck early. Kingston Chisholm and AJ Tarnowski (1G, 1A) traded goals 1:20 apart to close out the first. Chisholm and Garrison Peck (1G, 1A) each found the back of the net on the power play as SAHA pulled ahead going into the third. Elefante would reach double digit goals on the season as he tied the game midway through the final period. In OT Chisholm completed the hat-trick (3G, 1A) and four point game to give SAHA the 4-3 victory.听
North Shore Warriors (4) vs BWC Academy Gold (9) U17 Prep
BWC Academy Gold outshot North Shore 51-24 en route to a 9-4 win Sunday. Jonathan Bitonto (2G, 1A) scored twice, Colton Gerrior (1G, 2A) and Declan Iacoviello (2A) each had two assists and Korbin Rodel (20/24) was in net for the win. Cameron Collins, Trevyn Irvine, Anri Ishigaki and Lucas Lekakis (1G, 1A) scored for North Shore in the loss.听
Edge School Maroon (11) vs Notre Dame Red (3) U17 Prep
Luca Dufour (3G, 2A) and Nick Wytrychowski (3G, 3A) both recorded hat-tricks in Sunday鈥檚 match with Notre Dame Red, combining for 11-points in the process. Notre Dame Red actually acquired the game鈥檚 first two tallies thanks to an early four-minute powerplay. Dufour responded shortly after their penalty killing woes and got Edge Maroon back on track for the second and third where they would go on to add another 10-goals to the scoresheet as well as 80 shots on goal. Not a single Edge Maroon player, including Adam Courchesne (12/15, 2A) in goal, left the ice without a point.
St. George’s School (7) vs STAR Hockey Academy (0) U15
Between Daniel Makovetskiy鈥檚 (4G, 1A) offensive brilliance and Erik Sims (28/28) lock down goaltending, STAR couldn鈥檛 have asked for a better showing versus St. George鈥檚 on Sunday. Makovetskiy got the ball rolling, scoring the opening frame鈥檚 lone goal, while Kyler Bush and Brody Lukinbill (1G, 1A) added another two in the second. Ronin Brunner (1G, 1A) would put another on the board in the third before Makovetskiy added another three unanswered goals for STAR for a 4-goal performance. Sims turned aside 28-shots and helped fend off four St. George鈥檚 powerplays for his second shutout of the year. STAR never even received a single powerplay in this matchup, scoring all seven goals at even strength.听
NWCAA Flames AAA (3) vs Edge School (8) U15 Prep
Only one skater left the ice without a point in Edge鈥檚 commanding win over their city rivals, beating them by a five-goal margin when everything was set and done. After a scoreless first, Edge recorded four unanswered through the first half of the second period, scoring twice on the powerplay. Jordin St. Louis (1G, 1A) managed to eclipse the double-digit mark for goals while Mirco Dufour hit the 20-mark. The Flames would claw back another three, which would鈥檝e made for a close game if Edge hadn鈥檛 gone and scored another four goals in this time frame, wrapping up their weekend in style.
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy White (3) vs North Shore Warriors Orange (4/OT) U17 Prep
Robert Orr (1G, 1A) got the game started for NSW Orange just over two minutes in, but a quick pair of goals from Addison Urquhart (2G) put PCHA White ahead by one after the first frame. NSW Orange threw 21-shots on net in the second, but only managed to score late in the period thanks to the extended efforts of Christopher Mah (1G, 1A) and Kayden Runstedler (2G, 1A). Entering the third, NSW Orange found themselves in penalty trouble which led to PCHA White鈥檚 tying goal off the stick of Aleks Ostrovskyy. In overtime, NSW Orange pressed hard, outshooting PCHA White 6-1 in the short time before Runstedler nabbed the winner.
Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (0) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (4) Female U18 Prep
OHA Black鈥檚 struggles continue as they fell to Delta Black on Sunday afternoon. Even after outshooting Delta Black in the first, they couldn鈥檛 come out on top as Gabriella Lee (2G, 1A) managed to snag a pair of goals in the frame. Delta Black would remain in control for the rest of the match, outshooting their opponents 21-14 in the final forty minutes while picking up another two goals in the process, both off the stick of Abby Hamel (2G). Sonja Reed (27/27) picked up the win in goal, recording the first shutout of her CSSHL career.
OHA Edmonton (11) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (1) U15 Prep
OHA Edmonton had their offence spread out in their victory over PHA. Cash Brebant (3G, 1A) led the charge with a hat-trick performance while Miles Hartmann (2G, 1A) chipped in two goals, including the game winner. Aaron Kowalyk scored the lone goal for PHA to make the score 3-1 in the first, but OHA Edmonton鈥檚 offence was too much to contain going the rest of the way.
Coeur d鈥橝lene Hockey Academy (1) vs Yale Hockey Academy (4) U17 Prep
Jayden Oleskiw (4A) recorded an assist on each and every one of Yale鈥檚 goals Sunday afternoon. Yale got the ball rolling early with a quick pair that Coeur d鈥橝lene simply couldn鈥檛 get back. Elijah Plunkett would put CDA on the board late in the first, but that was the only lick of twine his academy would find. Devan Bahia (1G, 1A) and Gus Schill (1G, 2A) would score two more for Yale throughout this contest while Carson Lang (22/23) stopped everything he needed to in the final forty to rack up the win.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (6) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (4) U18 Prep
Jack Bousquet may have put CIHA on the board first, but NAX was able to keep their eye on the prize and recorded a quick pair soon after Bousqet鈥檚 opener. NAX would leave the first frame up a score of 4-2. In the second, Ryan Gower would score his second of the season to put NAX up by three. This would go on to be the game winner as CIHA made a strong push in the third, scoring twice in the final half of the frame. However, Parker Snell (26/30) would hold them at bay as they pulled their goalie, while Riley Boychuk (2G, 1A) sealed the game with the empty netter.听
Edge School (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) U15
Kaidyn Thomas (57/61) may have recorded the loss on the scoresheet, but he managed to give Edge a fighting chance in this contest, making a ridiculous 57-saves on NAX鈥檚 fiery offence. Only NAX鈥檚 first line was able to penetrate anything through Thomas, Easton Arndt (3G) ended up with a hat-trick and Admad Fayad (1G, 1A) scored the other lone goal. Damien Lavallee managed to beat Tyson Moreland (24/25) late in the third, but this would only go on to spoil his shutout as it was too little too late to make an impact on the final score.
BWC Academy (7) vs Yale Hockey Academy (9) U15
Thanks to a strong second period, Yale was able to hold on to the lead thoroughly in this back and forth affair. BWC Academy and Yale鈥檚 offence went wild in the final frame as a total of eight goals were scored in those final twenty minutes. Yale鈥檚 Jaxen McFegan (3G, 2A) would go on to score four goals in this contest but it would end up being Kessler Hauser鈥檚 goal with two minutes remaining that would go on to be the game winner in Sunday鈥檚 final.
