Fort Erie International Academy U17 (4) vs Ulysse Academie U17 (3) Eastern U17
Keifer Degagne opened the scoring for FEIA as they led 1-0 after 20. Nurtay Baiduissen (2G) scored twice in a span of 1:06 and Samuel Schelling scored 1:13 later as FEIA held a commanding 4-0 lead. But Ulysse wouldn鈥檛 go down without a fight as Ismael Legault, Felix Maltais and Tommy Roy all scored in the first 7:33 of the third to bring their team within one. But Ashton Venzon (19/22) stayed strong to deny Ulysse a tying goal and secure a 4-3 FEIA win.听
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (5) vs Shawnigan Lake School (1) Female U18 Prep
RHA Kelowna led 2-0 after the first period as Jordan Blouin (2G) and Emelia McDermid each scored their 12th goals of the season. Meera Smith beat Madison Bowtell (25/26) with 3:52 left in the second to get Shawnigan on the board and within one. But RHA Kelowna put the game to bed in the third as Kennedy Sisson, Chloe Primerano (1G, 1A) and Blouin all found the back of the net. Aidyn Carkner (37/42) faced 42 shots in the loss.听
Northern Alberta Xtreme (12) vs OHA Edmonton (1) U18 Prep
Jordan Duguay (3G, 4A) and Torretto Marrelli (3G, 2A) each recorded hat-tricks, Riley Boychuk (5A) had five assists and Sam Saskiw (29/30) made 29 saves as NAX defeated OHA Edmonton 12-1. Hunter Yee scored the lone OHA Edmonton goal 4:57 into the third period.听
Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (2) Female U18 Prep
Emma Biros (1G, 1A) and Eden Hamel scored in the first 10 minutes of action providing all of the offence Delta Black needed for a 2-1 win. Makenna Brassard beat Sonja Reed (29/30) with 4:29 left to play to end her shutout bid and give OHA Black late life but it wasn鈥檛 enough as Delta Black held on for the 2-1 win. Mya Lesage (27/29) made 27 saves in the loss.听
Champions Hockey Academy U17 (1) vs Bishop’s College School U17 (3) Eastern U17
After a scoreless first Zach Jockers scored 1:40 into the second as Bishop鈥檚 held a 1-0 lead going into the third. Alex Levesque tied the game with a shorthanded tally 6:57 into the third. Gavin Rusenstrom scored the go-ahead goal on the power play for Bishop鈥檚 and Adam Straka added an empty netter to hand Champions their first loss of the season. Timofey Williams (12/13) and Scott Leblanc (20/22) were in net for their respective teams.听
South Alberta Hockey Academy (11) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) U18 Prep
Only three SAHA skaters were left off the scoresheet in Pilot Mound, MB after racking up 11-goals on 74-shots. In terms of points, Josiah Jackson (4A) led the way with his four helpers on the afternoon while Owen Brees (2G, 1A), Brayden Ryan-Mackay (2G, 1A) and Will Bell (2G, 1A) all posted two-goal performances. Ben Polhill (25/27) was in net for the win, steering aside 25-shots.
Ulysse Academie U18 (6) vs Ontario Hockey Academy Prep (4) Eastern U18
Oliver Nilsgaard (2G) got the ball rolling quickly for OHA, netting two in the first period only 32-seconds apart from each other. However, Ulysses Academie would one up Nilsgaard as Maverick Roux-Paranteau (2G) and Lucas Loiacano (1G, 1A) struck twice in 12-seconds, making things even for the second period. Ulysses and OHA would trade once more as it looked like we were going to head into the third all tied up, but Ulysses鈥檚 Alexis Boyer scored late to put his academy ahead entering the third. Ulysses would go on to add another two in the final frame, putting things out of reach for OHA despite a late tally from Keenan Quenneville.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (2) U18 Prep
It was a match to remember for Victoria Royals prospect, Ryan Tamelin (40/42), who turned away 40-shots while his academy was outshot by an intimidating 42-17. RHA Kelowna actually had the edge on OHA early in the second after Joe Iginla (1G, 1A) put his academy ahead just over three minutes in. However, Charlie Grant would score the equaliser for OHA shortly after. Later in the frame, OHA would receive a powerplay where Markus Ruck (1G, 1A) would wire one top shelf with 5-seconds left on the clock to give his team the lead. In the third, Tamelin would turn away another 14-shots from RHA Kelowna. Wyatt Danyleyko would also come up with a huge block in the final minute to keep RHA Kelowna at bay, sacrificing the body for the eventual victory.
Notre Dame (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (16) U15
Hat-trick performances from Corbin Dunphy (3G, 2A) and Easton Doran (3G, 3A) spearheaded another commanding victory for NAX. Bronsyn Mouille (3G, 2A) and Kalen Miles (2G, 1A) would also supply multi-goal efforts while Ahmad Fayad (1G, 3A), Easton Arndt (4A) and Luka Samu (3A) were the playmakers, combining for 10-assists between the three of them.
OHA Edmonton (5) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep
Only 2010-born forward, Walker Filewich (2G) was able to find twine for the first forty minutes of this contest, spoiling what was otherwise a mighty performance from Michael Kolebaba (38/43) in Pilot Mound鈥檚 crease. Liam Reed (1G, 2A) would add OHA Edmonton鈥檚 third tally halfway through the third. Reed鈥檚 goal would go on to be the game winner as PMHA鈥檚 Forrest Karlson and Haze Helle would add two late.听
Eisb盲ren Juniors Berlin (1) vs Ulysse Academie U17 (2) Eastern U17
Berlin had the lead in this contest until Antonin Cassista tied things up partially halfway through the second. The rest of the match would go on to be a game of chess as offensive chances and shots were a luxury. Overtime was looking certain until Maceo Bustamante found the back of the net for Ulysses with 1:35 left in the game. William Ethier (19/20) would hold down the fort the rest of the way, clinching the victory over their German guests.
Prairie Hockey Academy (2) vs Notre Dame (4) U15 Prep
Ramsey Thompson (2G) opened the scoring for PHA with his 10th of the campaign before Notre Dame clapped back with two of their own later in the frame, taking the lead into the second. Thompson would manage to tie things up with his second of the afternoon in the middle frame, giving PHA some breathing room to make a go at it for the lead. However, with 38-seconds left in the period, defenceman William French found the back of the net to put Notre Dame ahead late. PHA would press in the third, but would only muster 4-shots on goal in the frame, allowing Notre Dame to cruise to victory after Parker Banks (1G, 1A) sealed it with an empty netter.
BWC Academy (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy (6) U18 Prep
Delta established their control early in the match after recently signed prospect, Dane Pyatt (2G, 1A), scored just 1:43 into the frame. Delta would build on this lead up into the second period, making things 4-0 after Damien Kravcak (2G) potted back-to-back goals. U17 Prep call-up, Jack Tudhope, would put BWC Academy on the board, but was later matched by Pyatt. BWC Academy would add another two late, but it wasn鈥檛 enough to comeback after the hole they dug themselves earlier in the match.
Stanstead College U17 (9) vs Mount Academy U17 (2) Eastern U17
Mount Academy managed to exit the first with a 2-1 lead despite being doubled in shots by Stanstead College. Reality would settle in for the PEI-based academy in the second, surrendering four unanswered in the period. Come the third, Stanstead would wire another four home, turning what was once a close contest into an offensive showcase. Owen Kwok (2G) and Elijah Arrigo (2G) led the way with their multi-goal performances while Liam Ryan (27/29) made every single stop he had to in the final forty minutes.听
Shawnigan Lake School (2) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) U15 Prep
Baden Glithero (1G, 1A) got Shawnigan on the board early with his 5th of the year just 30-seconds in. However, PCHA would claw back with three unanswered goals in the same frame, sparked by Treytin Frizzell (2G). Charlie Kittleson fought to get one back for Shawnigan in the second while Liam Chamberlain (34/37) kept PCHA at bay in the crease. Shawnigan continued their push in the third but couldn鈥檛 get anything else past Chilliwack, BC鈥檚 Lynden Mercier (40/42) who would go on to make 40-saves in a statement win for PCHA.
Shawnigan Lake School (6) vs Yale Hockey Academy (1) U18 Prep
It only took Shawnigan Lake鈥檚 Brendyn Van Oene (2G) 31-seconds to open the scoring in this contest, putting his academy ahead early and putting momentum in their hands. However, Yale鈥檚 Bodie Jerome would rip one home from the right hand side for his first career goal at the U18 Prep level, giving Yale some life in the first. Although this game wouldn鈥檛 stay tied for much longer, Gabriel Kenny would score from centre ice after catching Yale鈥檚 Spencer Hunnam (43/49) off guard. Shawnigan wouldn鈥檛 look back after that second tally, recording four unanswered and riding this game into the sunset. Joshua Polak (2G, 1A) and Eli McKamey (2A) would connect on a third period goal late to cement Shawnigan鈥檚 second straight win.听听
Edge School Gold (2) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (4) U17 Prep
Despite being outshot 64-29 SAHA defeated Edge Gold 4-2 on the back of Steven Wawryk鈥檚 (62/64) impressive performance in net. Garrison Peck (1G, 1A), Nate Grinevitch and Ty Wasyluk all scored first period goals as SAHA led 3-0. Ryan Boyce got Edge Gold on the board midway through the second. Dallin Antos brought Edge Gold within one but with just 42 seconds left. Eastyn Dimond scored an empty net goal with 12 seconds remaining to end the comeback.听
Northern Alberta Xtreme (2) vs Edge School (3) U15 Prep
Kayne Wright opened the scoring for NAX with his third goal of the season. Luke Jamieson responded for Edge just 35 seconds later to tie the game. Mirco Dufour scored 10 seconds into the second and Jordin St. Louis added his ninth of the year as Edge grabbed a 3-1 lead going into the third. Gavin Harrison brought NAX within one with 2:03 remaining but they were unable to beat Leif Oaten (26/28) again to find the equaliser. Cam Hoose (32/35) was credited with the loss.听
NWCAA Flames AAA (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (6) U15 Prep
A goal from Madden Van Kemenade gave RHA Winnipeg a 1-0 lead after 20. Jevyn Singh Gill, Trystan Catahan and William Matte (1G, 1A) scored in the second for the Flames, while Graeme Pickering (1G, 2A), Max George and Jake Ritson (1G, 1A) countered for RHA Winnipeg. Isaac Sousa and Spencer Kuntz (1G, 3A) added third period goals as RHA Winnipeg doubled up NWCAA Flames 6-3.听
Pacific Coast Hockey Academy White (4/OT) vs North Shore Warriors Orange (3) U17 Prep
A busy first period saw Ryan Christenson (1G, 1A) and Joel Perrett score for PCHA White while Colby Shumak and Kayden Runstedler countered for North Shore Orange. Noah Russo scored his ninth of the season as NSW Orange led 3-2 after 40 but Markus Nichols replied with his ninth goal of the season to force OT. In overtime Brayden Howe continued the trend, scoring his ninth of the year to give PCHA White a 4-3 win. Parker Parrish (58/61) made 58 saves for the win.听
Edge School Maroon (14) vs Notre Dame Red (2) U17 Prep
Edge Maroon defeated Notre Dame Red 14-2 Saturday. Nick Wytrychowski (4G, 2A) led the way with six points, Jeff Niehaus (3G, 1A) and Kyle Oakenfold (3G) each had hat-tricks and Luca Dufour (5A) had five assists to pace the Edge Maroon offence. Carson Hiebert and Micah Pimm scored for Notre Dame Red in the loss.听
Okanagan Hockey Academy (4) vs St. George’s School (1) U15 Prep
Eddy Spytz scored with 44 seconds left in the first to give St. George鈥檚 a 1-0 lead that would last into the third period. Carson Smith tied the game 4:29 into the final frame with his ninth goal of the season. After the OHA offence was held scoreless for two full periods, it woke-up in the final five minutes as Tristan Hoko, Cohen Williams and Brody Shilton all found the back of the net. Linden Sobocan (32/33) made 32 saves to earn the win for OHA.听
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) vs Prairie Hockey Academy White (0) U17 Prep
A goaltending duel saw Piet Mireau (30/30) come out on top with a 30 save shutout performance. Cameron Beisal (25/26) was beaten by Dwight Sawatzky with one second left in the second period as PMHA needed just one goal to earn the victory.听
Yale Hockey Academy (4) vs BWC Academy (5/OT) U15 Prep
Yale raced out to a 3-0 advantage midway through the game as Carter Bylycia (1G, 1A), Gavin Selinger, and Lucas Fenrich all found the back of the net. But BWC Academy quickly responded with three second period goals of their own as Declan Iacoviello (2G), Logan Henry (2G) and Richard Wonyeneh (1G, 1A) all scored. Henry and Shaun Hildebrandt (1G, 1A) traded third period goals to close out the third period and see the two teams head to overtime. Iacoviello scored 1:17 into the extra period to give BWC Academy the 5-4 win.听
St. George’s School (2) vs STAR Hockey Academy (6) U15
George Gapeshin (2G) and Daniel Makovetskiy (2G, 1A) each scored twice, Brody Lukinbill (3A) had three assists and Bannen Clements (27/29) made 27 saves as STAR defeated St. George鈥檚 6-2. Kyle Bowering and Tarik Lammam (1G, 1A) scored for St. George鈥檚 in the loss. Joffrey Chan (26/31) faced 31 shots in the St. George鈥檚 net.听
Shawnigan Lake School (2) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy Blue (4) U17 Prep
Ethan Naus opened the scoring for Shawnigan with a power play goal but Owen Hentschel responded for PCHA Blue, hitting double digit goals on the season. After a scoreless second Cadel Gourlay and Tristan Gravenor scored early in the third to put PCHA Blue ahead. Liam Downie brought Shawnigan back within one but Jed Lake iced the game with his 30th just 1:16 later. Braxton Becker (40/42) and Will Stonehouse (41/45) each made 40-plus saves in the game.听
Delta Hockey Academy Black (2) vs BWC Academy White (3) U17 Prep
Gabriel Kaminski (2G) scored twice on the power play as BWC Academy White led 2-0 after 20. Jack Morgan (2G) countered with two goals of his own in the second period to tie the game. The BWC Academy White power play stayed hot as Oleksii Zhekov scored 1:26 into the third to give his team the eventual game winning goal. Josh Wu (23/25) made 23 saves for the win while Lucas Szulc (41/44) made 41 saves in the loss.
