Bishop’s College School (8) vs Mount Academy (1) East U17
Bishop’s College scored once in the first, four times in the second, and three more times in the third as they defeated Mount Academy 8-1. Henry Bassuk (3G, 1A) recorded a hat-trick and led all skaters with four points while Thomas Roy (1G, 2A) chipped in with a three point game. Nathaniel St. Pierre Maltais broke the Egor Oganesyan (22/23) shutout bid with 3:25 remaining. Isaac Hachey (43/51) made 43 saves in the loss.Ìý
CIH Academy (4) vs Ontario Hockey Academy (5/SO) East U18
Yoshin Takahara and Jeremy St. Louis (1G, 1A) traded first period goals inside the opening five minutes of the game. Justin Savage (2G, 1A) scored twice in the second, including once on the power play, to put CIH Academy ahead 3-1 going into the final frame. Dmitrii Novikov scored on the power play 21 seconds into the third to bring OHA within one but Noah Picken countered just 23 seconds later for CIH Academy. The early period frenzy was just getting started as Danny Kananga scored for OHA less than two minutes later and Jacob Macmillan-Dallaire (1G, 1A) tied the game 34 seconds after that. Neither team would score in the last 17 minutes of regulation or 5 minutes of overtime, sending the game to a shootout. In the shootout both Kananga and St. Louis beat Noah Martin (43/47) while Rafael Tremblay (28/32) stopped both CIH Academy shooters as OHA took the 5-4 comeback win.Ìý
King’s Edgehill School (6) vs Mount Academy (3) East U18
King’s-Edgehill ran into some early penalty trouble but Jack Warren scored shorthanded to give his team the lead. Another penalty would lead to a Mount power play goal from Jacob Jardine 2:02 later. Kristopher Brosseau would put KES back ahead midway through the first period. Grady Betts (2G) and Alex Doyle (1G, 1A) scored 1:02 apart early in the second and Betts added a power play goal 10 minutes later as KES started to take control of the game. Cameron Ellsworth (2G) would get one back for Mount before the end of the period but they still trailed by three. Jack Sangster increased the KES advantage early in the third with his 11th goal of the season, beating Nolan MacDonald (28/34) 5:54 into the third. Ellsworth would get one more past William Bridgeo (28/31) but that was as close as Mount would come as KES took this one by a score of 6-3.Ìý
Okanagan Hockey Ontario (2) vs Bishop’s College School (5) East U18
Tristan Gagnon (1G, 1A) opened the scoring 5:47 in as he scored his 14th goal of the season. OHO captain Parker Fergusson evened the score late in the period with a shorthanded marker. Despite being outshot 18-7 in the second, OHO would lead after 40 as Moritz Trebo scored his first of the season. But Kristian Olsen-Makdessian (40/45) was unable to hold the Bishop’s offence in the third as they broke through for four goals with Taitt Dobbin (2G, 1A) scoring twice and Simon Picard and Bastien Michaud each scoring once. Felix-Antoine Emond (23/25) made 23 saves in net for the win.Ìý
Notre Dame (1) vs OHA Edmonton (6) U15 Prep
A four-goal second period lifted OHA Edmonton to a 6-1 win over Notre Dame. OHA Edmonton opened the scoring midway through the first with Damian Anderson scoring his 17th goal of the season. Hudson Pooler (48/54) kept Notre Dame in the game, turning aside 16 of the 17 shots he faced in the opening frame. OHA Edmonton extended their lead to three with goals from Kael Scott (1G, 1A) and Micah Montgomery (1G, 1A) early in the second. Davian Ferland replied quickly for Notre Dame, scoring 25 seconds after Montgomery’s goal to make it a 3-1 game. OHA Edmonton put the contest out of reach with two goals from Brayden Tucker (2G) in the final six minutes of the period. Josh Frazer added a power play marker for OHA Edmonton in the third. Gavin Steeves recorded his ninth win of the season for OHA Edmonton, stopping 11 of the 12 shots he faced. Hudson Potter finished with 48 saves for Notre Dame.Ìý
Shawnigan Lake School (0) vs St. George’s School (4) U17 Prep
Carter Adams (39/39) 39-save shutout led St. George’s School to a 4-0 victory over Shawnigan Lake School. The two goaltenders started off the game strong. St. George’s Adams made 13 saves and Shawnigan Lake’s Liam Chamberlain (42/46) turned aside 14 shots in the opening period to keep it scoreless. St. George’s broke through in the middle frame, scoring three times. Byron Chin broke the deadlock, potting his 20th goal of the season with just over 12 minutes to go in the period. Noah Chen (1G, 1A) and Ishaan Sharma gave St. George’s some breathing room with two goals that came 34 seconds apart. Jayan Sinha (1G, 1A) tacked on one more in the first few minutes of the third. Shawnigan Lake had a couple opportunities to put one on the board, getting two power plays in the final ten minutes but Adams was able to preserve the shutout with 13 saves in the final period. St. George’s Josh Gravistin (2A) had two assists helping him become the first defenseman in the U17 prep division to reach 40 points this season. Liam Chamberlain finished with a season-high 42 saves for Shawnigan Lake.Ìý
Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (2) vs RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (9) U18 Prep
A third period offensive explosion powered RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna to a 9-2 win over Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy. RHA Kelowna wasted no time getting on the board with Riley Pederson scoring 17 seconds into the game. Kiran Fedun (1G, 2A) tucked in his fifth goal of the season to give RHA Kelowna a two-goal lead heading into the dressing room. CDA got within one on Vincent Campbell’s first goal of the season early in the second. A few minutes later, Aidan Fisher (2G, 1A) restored RHA Kelowna’s two-goal lead. CDA had two power plays late in the second but were unable to capitalize. RHA Kelowna took over after those missed opportunities, finding the back of the net six times in the third. Theo Salikhov (1G, 2A), Aidan Fisher, Brady Walker, and Benjamin Bowtell (1G, 1A) scored in the flurry for RHA Kelowna. Defensemen Ryder Mead (1G, 3A) and Maxson Reed added on for RHA Kelowna with each of them scoring their first goal of the season. Owen Bambrick had the lone goal of the period for CDA. Louis Gu (23/25) picked up his second consecutive win against CDA, turning aside 23 of the 25 shots he faced.Ìý
Delta Hockey Academy (5) vs North Shore Warriors (0) U15 Prep
The defensemen had a big offensive game for Delta Hockey Academy, scoring three times in their 5-0 win over the North Shore Warriors. Delta got an early lead thanks to a power play goal from Ryker Doka 2:25 into the game. Ashton Sims (71/76) held North Shore in the game, making 21 saves in the opening period to keep it a 1-0 game. Delta continued to take it to North Shore in the second, outshooting them 25-3. Nicolas Peach (1G, 1A) and Ethan Kitchen were able to take advantage for Delta, scoring to stretch their lead out to three. Delta sealed the victory with a pair of third period goals from Eli Vickers and Charlie Leonard. Peter Banicevic (2A), Colton Brum (2A), and Tripp Fischer (2A) had multi-point games for Delta. Jack Utsunomiya (17/17) picked up his third shutout of the season for Delta, kicking out all 17 shots he faced. Ashton Sims was busy in North Shore’s net, making 71 saves in the loss.Ìý
Edge School (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (7) U15 Prep
The Northern Alberta Xtreme scored twice in the opening period and never looked back scoring a big 7-1 victory over their provincial rivals, Edge School. Emmett Abel (1G, 1A) and Brady Ondrus bulged the twine in the first to give NAX a two-goal advantage. Parker Naumann added on for the Xtreme in the second, scoring with just under seven minutes to go in the frame. Edge’s Delano Pockar (50/57) kept his team within striking distance, making 34 saves in the first two periods. Keagan Grant brought Edge within two, scoring an unassisted goal 21 seconds into the third. NAX pulled away after that in large part due to the offensive prowess of their defensemen. Nolan Wolitski (2G) scored twice and Cole Krebs tacked on one more from the back end for NAX. Easton Arndt rounded out the Xtreme’s offensive outburst with his 24th goal of the season. Dawson Sheehan (23/24), turned aside 23 shots in NAX’s victory. Pockar finished with 50 saves for Edge.Ìý
BWC Academy (5) vs Yale Hockey Academy (4) U15 Prep
BWC Academy held off a surge from Yale Hockey Academy to get a 5-4 victory. BWC Academy had a strong first ten minutes, finding the back of the net three times. Logan Henry (1G, 1A) and Cohen Baker (1G, 2A) got the offence rolling with two goals in the first 1:09. BWC Academy extended their lead to three with a power play marker from Justin Moon (1G, 2A). Yale responded a few minutes later with a power play goal of their own from Michael Kuzik. Dominic Ponte (1G, 1A) quickly struck again for Yale to make it a 3-2 game after the first period. Elias Papadatos (1G, 1A) scored BWC Academy’s second goal of the game on the man advantage early in the second to restore their two-goal edge. Yale got another quick response with Matteo Zenone (1G, 2A) scoring his 15th goal of the season. Midway through the frame, defenseman Ben Campbell scored the eventual game-winner for BWC Academy. BWC Academy had a big opportunity to put the game out of reach when Yale took a major penalty 34 seconds after Campbell’s marker. Yale would keep themselves in the game, getting a big kill to keep it a 5-3 game. Parker McMillan (1G, 3A) would bring Yale within one again with 13 seconds to go in the second period. Yale’s goaltending and penalty kill came up big in the third. Gavin Craig (45/48) stopped all 16 shots he faced and Yale’s penalty kill went five-for-five to keep it a one-goal game. Bentley Edgar (31/35) stood tall in BWC Academy’s net, stopping all eight shots sent his way in the third to secure the win. Edgar recorded his division-leading 19th win of the season, making 31 saves for BWC Academy. Craig turned aside 45 shots in relief for Yale.Ìý
Shawnigan Lake School (4) vs St. George’s School (11) U15 Prep
Louis Oscar Holowaychuk (4G, 2A) and Holden Wouters (2G, 4A) each had six points in St. George’s School’s 11-4 win over Shawnigan Lake School. Shawnigan Lake took their lone lead of the game with a goal from Chase Murgatroyd 1:32 into the game. St. George’s took over for the rest of the period getting goals from Wouters, Logan Okamura (1G, 2A), and Noah Fowler (1G, 1A). Carson Peet (1G, 1A) cut Shawnigan Lake’s deficit to one early in the second. Kyle Bowering and Wouters continued the big offensive game for St. George’s with insurance markers. An unassisted goal from Shawnigan Lake’s Asher Devries (1G, 1A) made it a 5-3 game. St George’s put the game out of reach after that with Holowaychuk scoring three straight goals and Bradey Ching (1G, 3A) adding one more. Owen Vaillancourt (1G, 1A) scored the lone goal of the third for Shawnigan Lake. Holowaychuk followed that up by scoring his fourth goal of the contest and Nathaniel Moore scored one more to seal St. George’s big victory. Holowaychuk now sits at 49 goals on the year, placing him fifth all time for goals in a single U15 Prep season. Quinn Pickering (4A) had four helpers for St. George’s. Joffrey Chan (13/17) made 13 saves in the win. Donagh Esler-Twiss (23/25) made 23 saves in relief for Shawnigan Lake.Ìý
Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) vs Balmoral Hall School (3/SO) Female U18 Prep
Reika Iwami (shootout winner) and Mimi Ferreira (36/38) powered Balmoral Hall School to a 3-2 win over Pilot Mound Hockey Academy. Maddie Kaiser gave Balmoral Hall the first lead of the game with her 27th goal of the season. McKayla Romano replied late in the first for Pilot Mound, sending the teams to the room tied at one. Balmoral Hall regained their lead with a goal from Lydia Hill 5:44 into the second. Pilot Mound fought back a few minutes later, getting a goal from Traeh Hall to tie the game 2-2. The two goalies stole the show after that with Balmoral Hall’s Ferreira and Pilot Mound’s Rehn Hall (42/44) posting zeros the rest of the way to send the game to a shootout. Pilot Mound had the biggest chance to break the deadlock before the skills competition, getting a five-on-three for over a minute near the end of regulation but they were unable to capitalize. Reika Iwami was the difference maker, scoring the game-winning goal in the second round of the shootout. Balmoral Hall’s Mimi Ferreira turned away all three shooters she faced in the shootout. Ferreira stopped 36 of the 38 shots she faced. Hall kicked out 42 of the 44 shots she faced for Pilot Mound.Ìý
Ulysse Academie (1) vs Selwyn House School (10) East U17
Selwyn House School’s seven-goal third period helped them get a big 10-1 victory over Ulysse Academie. Yulen Billy (2G, 2A) and Jackson Pitfield (3G, 1A) gave Selwyn House a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals in the final five minutes of the first period. Selwyn House’s Matheo Lazanis (1G, 2A) and Ulysee’s Sebastien Dupont traded goals in the second period. An offensive explosion helped Selwyn House pull away in the third. Julian Harroch (3G) scored three times and Jackson Pitfield found the back of the net twice to complete hat tricks. Yulen Billy and Isaac Huberman (1G, 2A) also scored in Selwyn House’s outburst. Gianluca Velenosi (3A), Bobby Avedesian (2A), and George Halimourdas (2A) had multi-point games for Selwyn House. Nicolas Capolicchio (19/20) got his first career CSSHL win, stopping 19 of the 20 shots he faced.Ìý
Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (0) U18 Prep
Nate Stevens (27/27) would blank RHA Winnipeg for his fifth shutout of the season, steering aside 27-shots in the process. Macklin Dobko’s second of the season stood as the game winner, scoring that goal back in the first period. Darius Hordal (1G, 1A) and Jake Walker (1G, 1A) would nab the insurance markers in the third period, allowing NAX to cruise along to a steady 3-0 win over RHA Winnipeg.Ìý
RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (3) vs Notre Dame (2) U17
In his first call-up to U17 action, 2025 WHL Draft prospect, Athens Shingoose (1G, 1A), wasted no time making a statement. Shingoose would tally the game’s first goal late in the first. Just over two minutes later, Cole Ewonchuk would double RHA Winnipeg’s lead. Shingoose would provide an assist on RHA Winnipeg’s third goal from Oliver Campbell early in the third. Notre Dame would provide some push back later in the frame as Landon Sokoloski (2G) got the Hounds on the board with his 12th of the season. Sokoloski would score Notre Dame’s second goal in the third, making things 3-2 with just under three minutes to spare. However, Grayson McDonald (23/25) would hold on between the pipes, ensuring the victory for RHA Winnipeg in Shingoose’s U17 debut.
Notre Dame (1) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (5) U18 Prep
Following a scoreless first, Brendan Choi would strike on the powerplay to give the Hounds the 1-0 advantage. However, Karson Ledoux (2G) would pot his first with the U18 Prep team to tie things up before the second intermission. In the third, ISA would find their groove as Ledoux nabbed his second of the evening to give ISA their first lead of the match. Notre Dame would fire everything they had through the third but couldn’t find another answer for Kael Ratt (28/29) before Holden Parada (2G) scored late to give ISA the two goal lead. ISA would bury another two empty netters before the horn sounded, giving them the 5-1 win.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (3) vs Edge School (2) U18 Prep
SAHA would leave the first with the momentum in their favour, outshooting Edge School 17-13 and taking a 2-0 lead into the second courtesy of Avery Watson and Gavin Lesiuk. However, Edge would find their rhythm in the second after Adam M’hamed netted his 20th of the season to cut SAHA’s lead down to one. Edge would keep applying the pressure throughout the match, eventually tying things up after Reed Reschny scored early in the third. SAHA would catch a break part way through the final frame after Tyden Lafournaise found the back of the net. SAHA would hold on to this lead with heavy praise to goaltender Kannen Kirkwood (38/40) who stopped 38-shots in this contest.
Edge School (0) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (1) Female U18 Prep
Goalies reigned supreme in a low-scoring Friday affair between Edge School and SAHA. Both Alexis Ehrman (30/31) and Hannah Palumbo (27/27) were perfect through forty minutes of play, stopping 17 and 20 shots respectively. Come the third period, Ehrman was the first to break as Keyana Bert scored her 16th of the season to give SAHA the lead. Palumbo would maintain her shutout in this contest, stopping all 27-shots faced through sixty minutes, recording her first shutout of the season.
St. George’s School (3) vs Shawnigan Lake School (4/OT) U18 Prep
Shawnigan found their legs early against their Lower Mainland rivals, scoring twice in the opening ten minutes to establish an early lead. Weston Ebrahim (2G) was responsible for each Shawnigan goal. London Taylor (1G, 1A) would respond for the Saints soon after, scoring shorthanded to cut their deficit to one. However, Brandon Kendall would restore Shawnigan’s two goal advantage with a late goal in the first. St. George’s would find their groove in the second, erasing their deficit after Brendan Morgan and Sam Auld scored a pair of late goals before the ice clean. The third period wasn’t enough to find our winner so overtime was needed. St. George’s would take a penalty in the extra frame, ultimately leading to Theirry Demers’ overtime winner to give Shawnigan their 19th win of the campaign. Will Stonehouse (45/48) played a vital role in Shawnigan’s win, stopping 45-shots, including all 15 he faced in the third period.
